THE NEED FOR ALL KONO ORGANIZATIONS AND PEOPLE OF KONO TO ADDRESS KONO ISSUES FROM A UNITED FRONT

The adverse effects of mining on the people and the land in Kono has gone beyond its critical point. The social effects are very vivid. The lack of clean drinking water is a gross violation of basic human rights.
The government of Sierra Leone, MUST address this proplem with utmost urgency. The people are suffering adversely as a result the uncontrolled underground mining going on in the district.
We are calling on all Kono individuals, stakeholders and organizations to objectively assess the collective problems of Kono and address it as a UNITED FRONT.
WE CAN NEVER SUCCEED IF WE REMAIN DIVIDED.
