To speak the truth the government toiling with feeling of the KONO people. The so-called honorables or dishonorable's are all puppets tools in the hands of the powers that be. I don't trust the powers that be they are aware and colluding with the mining companies

If the mining is a challenge to our young sisters and brothers, what do you think of our fight to close underground mining? If the mining policy is reviewed, do you think that would provide resources to assist them with their education?

Thank you too sir. The plans well detailed. Internet would be an obstacle for learning but it can be achieved. Lots of kono educated people in the west can support if all the plans are put in place.

Is it true that the land that was first identified for the university was relocated elsewhere? If so why?

Thanks heaps David for such a fantabulous job. This medium will facilitate to engage our stakeholders as well as the victims of injustices and exploitation that we see happening today in Sierra Leone at large and Kono in particular. What I will suggest is that we re engage with the UMU LEADERSHIP to organise a sit-down protest as previously planned. Though they failed to do it at an opportune time. The approach they are following to address their issues is taking longer than necessary to fix it. I personally don’t see any green light at the end of the tunnel. That’s my opinion.

Thank you to the Mayor. This is what we look for in leader. May God continue to give you grace. The mining act of Sierra Leone 2022/2023 clearly states expectations and consequences of bridge of the act. As an affected person based on relocation of our land, why are we not receiving surface rent? Why were we allocated less land and half of the number of our former house? Several other questions to ask but thank you for time to explain and your willingness to get things right.
