What happens if you fill the tank up to get the range of 3 hours and add your wife to not fly alone? Heli: 340, fuel: 113, pilot 90, passenger: 50. Total nearly 600 kgs. Will it still fly safely?
I've always wondered about this, anyone who knows the answer to what I'm about to ask, can answer! If you're located on top of a mountain as this chopper is, will the altimeter onboard tell you the height you already are at for example: at your current position, you're at 7000 feet! Will the altimeter confuse the top of the mountain with the ground level? Or will it differentiate between the two different heights?!! Is the altitude of your aircraft deciphered by an onboard sensor? Or some kind of an instrument located somewhere on the belly or bottom of your helicopter??

the term 'Ultralight' has been in use in aviation all over the English speaking world since the 1950s. It just means small. In the USA, we have 'Part 103 ultralights' but there are many other uses of the word.
It is in most country a legal category for aircraft with weight (like MTOW) and complexity (number of seats, engines and landing speed) restrictions. Beeing a turbine helo with RG it likely would not fall in this registration category in some places, so i think that is what he ment.
Hi, that makes sense is the Cabri fits your needs. It is difficult to compare these two helicopters. Prices are different. The Cabri is certified for aerial work and public transport. The Fama is only for private flights and flight school. Other differences are: engine piston vs turbin, FE est Ron vs classical tail rotor, three main blades vs two, cargo bay for the Fama etc...
@@OrdinaryLatvian yes, ultralight in Europe means it is under 600Kg MTOW. This is totally something else than part 103 under FAA rules, Europe uses EASA rules.
There is a cheaper version with skids instead of retractable gear. Maybe you would prefer its esthetic if you evaluate an helicopter only on this criteria.
What a little beast! Looks so right, it can't be wrong!
Happy days!😆
Beautiful machine love from Pakistan!
Très belle machine
Beautiful little machine. I noticed it was quiet from a distance away.
magnifique, avec le train rétractable, turbine, Bravo !
Fuel: jet a1 or car diesel, domestic fuel, agricole fuel, etc..
Range : 250 Nm
Endurance 3 hours
Price?
@DanielCoven Have you tried diesel & do you think it would be cheaper or more beneficial?
What is the fuel consumption per hour? Or how many liters of fuel are in the tank providing 3 hours endurance (plus 30 min. safety?)?
Nice little 🚁‼️ 😊👍🏼
a derive or inspired by the great alouette 3 helicopter that for sure😎✌🚁
Very impressive performance at high elevation, which I guess is the point of the vid.Thanks.
Where can we find more info on this Helicopter?

Is this considered an ultralight in the US?
Hi, Unfortunately no
Swift helicopter
340 kgs empty weight might not qualify as ultralight in the US. Check regulations yourself, pls
Might count as an LSA though
Ultra light 254 lbs max

All aircraft have altimeter indicating altitude by measuring air pressure, never mind there is a plain, a mountain below

Nice, but I would prefer skid undercarriage for off-airport operation, even if there is a slight speed penalty.
Weight capacity...2 person ? Lbs?
Empty weight 340 kg, Maxi take off weight 700 kg, 2 seats.
No way is that an ultra light

Impressive, but it won't pass as an Ultra Light here in the USA sad to say.

I meant Fenestron
Kouji Kabuto´s pilder
Sweet bird, but zero chance this thing makes the 255lb ultralight limit
The description is in French, they might have different laws regarding ultralight aircraft where it was filmed.
