  • Myself and KM4ACK both had issues with our 891's and ATAS120 antennas mounted in our trucks. We discussed this at the Huntsville Hamfest, so I to the issue to the Yaesu booth. To my surprise they had recently found out of this issue, and the cause. But as I was Talking with Rodger N6GMT, from Yaesu, he thought of a solution! Have a look, save a repair, and solve the issue before it happens to you.

Rodger mentioned the same thing to me at HH. Thanks for the reminder. I just ordered one from R&L. I went with the Diamond MX62M. The Comet is a CF-706. 73s

Just with the ATAS 120. It's actually resonate on 2m. You should be fine

Ok.. thanks.. Is this just an issue with the 891 and the ATAS? I've been using my 891 with hamsticks for a few years with both radios on and using them back and forth. Not an issue. The antennas are about 12-18" apart..
