The way the lyrics handle such deepfelt human emotion, is kind of comforting to me.

this is the second song I've heard from them and honestly I'm blown away. The raw emotion and the deep,personal lyrics are something that isn't really common in today's music. Most of it is something that a person writes for the artist based on what they think will sell the best. Sad to think that you don't have to have anything other than looks to be a pop star today. :/ But it's bands like these that are keeping music from being dead.

My step father of the past 19 years passed away 2 months ago yesterday and my mom still has not messaged me since he died. She kicked me out of the hospital room when he was finally awake for the last time and I didn't even fight like I normally would... I just left quietly and hugged my father for the last time... Me and her have spent years in silence before and this seems to be the beginning of the next chapter of silence for us again...
This song fucking hit me hard. I'm a metal head at heart but this fucking got me. I love it for the reason that I can relate to this soo well. She left me and abandoned me... At first I was lost and destroyed and I rebuilt myself without her. Rebuilt and found, it is now my decision to keep her out. Thanks for this song guys. It means a lot to know someone can relate.

I start to think about letting her in..... she dies of a drug overdose. I had to fly home and handle the arrangements. it was 10 years ago and I still don't know how to feel.

This is absolutely beautiful - and i tend not to like acoustic music. The original version of this song has a ton of emotion, but this version has a different expression of that emotion. I dig it.
