- Volkswagen of America and Mexico teamed up together and restored Kathleen Brooks' 51 years beloved Volkswagen Beetle. Check it out the March 2019 issue of hotVWs magazine for this beautiful story.
I own one too and that's exactly how we feel about them because each and every one of these cars has its own personality. Love driving mine, and she's been with me all along.
I don’t think there’s another car that’s loved as much as this one.
Very moving, a true love story. 51 years together with one little red car... simply amazing.
Keep it coming hot VWs.
great story
I was going to cry😹
WOW. I read this story in Hot VWs magazine and even watched a few vids on You Tube about it, but I got a whole new perspective on how much this beetle meant to this lady. I hope that Hot VWs put out more ids.
Wonderful story and gift from Volkswangen Of America & Mexico... I every vw beetle owner that i talked to has a name and so many stories about their car. Poeple will stop by our house when they see our beetles just to share their vw story.
heartwarming story. Why the headlight change on a 67? Doesn’t matter it’s sweet! Go another 50 Annie!
In brazil it was the most famous car of 1960's and 1970's. Here, is called "Fusca". The most popular car of automotive history of my country. But there are anothers names with : "poiszézinho", volkswagen sedan ...
God bless Annie and.
I'm putting volkswagen beetle on the track bumblebug coming soon
This is a wonderful story. I have seen a few videos of the story. Some footage is used in all, some have unique footage. I wonder if there is a full documentary somewhere?
Love history... Name of the song without you??
True love! :)
How do I get my 1971 vw restored in coral springs fla

Why were the 67 only fenders changed to earlier sloped headlight ones? Why were the 66-67 wheels & hubcaps changed to generic parts? Why was the 67 only interior junked for generic, non period garbage? A genuine ruby red 67 beetle should have been done properly & there were so many questionable changes that really ruined it. Most 67 owners would probably agree.
Yeah you're right I didn't spot the wheels at first but to me the fenders are very noticeable and it's sad because a 1967 is such a collectors item
