"Captivating Eyes" Susanna Hoffs is STILL gorgeous today, at 64.
Prince went nuts for Susannah Hoffs- the EYES girl. He wrote a big hit for her- Manic Monday!
Love y’all!❤😊
Thank you
I think we all loved her! ❤
@@kenyonsgirl415 so gorgeous!

Susannah Hoffs....those eyes....man she drove us NUTS back in the day. Such a beautiful woman!
It was just silly and we all knew it- but we weren’t afraid to look goofy! That’s why it was so much fun. 😊
That's what was soooo great about the 80s! We had fun, we were goofy, we weren't afraid to be silly or different. So glad I was in high school/college in the 80s.
@@jenniferfoster1692 I was in my 30’s but I was wearing those Madonna accessories!
@@TheDivayenta Awesome! And you also got to go grow up in some pretty cool times yourself!
Suzanna Hoffs (the eyes)
What a babe, and still is today.
The fact that the song made people who can't dance try to dance speaks to the engaging and captivating quality of the song.
Manic Monday, Eternal Flame, Hazy Shade of Winter is a rocking song.
Susanna Hoffa ( eyes girl) 64 now and still gorgeous
All these ladies were super talented Hazy shade of winter, eternal flame and many more
Eternal Flame - by The Bangles
HA HA HA. On Susannah's last, gorgeous, big-eyed "walk like an Egyptiannnnn" you guys all looked hypnotized. Thanks. That was fun to watch. And hey, Prince, and a lot of women I know, all totally agree with you about being mesmerized.
If y'all haven't heard Hazy shade of winter by them, you're missing out. They made it their own.
Great reaction guys.
Susana Hoffs was🔥
This song got tons of play on the radio and MTV
That still you have of Suzanna Hoffs where her eyes are looking to the side is one of the most iconic and sexy moments of the 80’s. I thought I was the only one that thought that when I was a kid, but EVERY one of my friends as adults, as soon as I mention this video, they instantly say “Oh, when she looks to the side….those eyes…OMG”. Every guy says it! Totally iconic..
It's really interesting seeing reactions to this video. It's a pretty spot on barometer for being aware of and in tune with female sexuality in that dudes are universally glued to the screen, mouth agape, but women are split. Women who "get it" are like "damn girl" with a respectful nod mentally taking notes, while women who have no idea literally get bored because it just seems like filler content of a closeup on someone's face. They'll use it as an opportunity to look away or make a comment or something.
Oh yeah! Susana shifting those beautiful eyes just knocked this old man out.
Yo fellas, you should check out The Bangles' killer cover of the 1966 Simon & Garfunkel classic, *"Hazy Shade of Winter",* you'll love it! Their cover reached # 2 on the charts in 1987, and if you want to have some eye candy for your reaction, use the official music video called: *The Bangles - Hazy Shade of Winter (Official Video).* The video intersperses shots of The Bangles performing the song, with clips from the movie, Less Than Zero, as the song appeared on the film's soundtrack. The only actor in the shots from the film that you'll likely recognize is a young, Robert Downey, Jr., who would many years later star in, Ironman.
Probably my favorite Bangles song
The Bangles - Hazy Shade of Winter - Manic Monday
Their other hits were: as you mentioned "Manic Monday", (wich was written by Prince) "In my room," "Hazy shade of winter," & "Eternal Flame." Another all girl band from that era were The Go Go's. Their biggest song was probably 'We got the beat."
Somebody beam me back to 70s and 80s
Okay. I thought for sure this one would have you stumped!! You all are truly well-rounded musically!! ❤✌️
It was on MTV 24/7 at the time!!!
There's a 12inch version that's totally fire.
I’m In Love
I was waiting to see who would be the first to comment about her eyes. Lol. Every man was in love with her. ❤
It had heavy rotation on MTV and the radio. Such a fun song.
Walk Like An Egyptian was written by Liam Sternberg from Akron, Ohio. He had recorded a demo of it, which the Bangles producer heard, and they needed a couple more songs for their album. The rest is history…
Love it
she was shy and did not want to look at the camera the rest is history
Great song and such a fun vid!!
'Dance move' songs have been around a while, though. The Twist, The Hand Jive, The Locomotion, The Hustle - - and probably a lot more. I think they go pretty far back, at least to the beginnings of radio.
It's that bass line that carries the song.
Yesyesyesyesyes! 😊love y’all’s channel.
Susanna Hoff knocked SULTRY out of the ballpark.
It was all over the radio and MTV, I was very young, but I remember it being everywhere!
Those eyes those eyes
Please listen to their cover of "Hazy Shade of Winter"! I love the original, but this kicks its azz.
coreyray////////you rock
Oh this was huge for a while on MTV. They would be cancelled in today's culture, sadly. We were happier and Freer in the '80s. For '80s Girl Bands I always liked CRUEL SUMMER by Bananarama - the official music video.
ok...dude in the middle.....please do your own youtube. you rock
Did Olli actually say "This might be the first song they invented a dance to?" Let me introduce you to Chubby Checker and "The Twist."
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give It Away Live @ Slane Castle 2003 please ;)
Try some REVEREND HORTON HEAT "Wiggle Stick" or "Love Whip"
Don't mean to be rude but I cannot imagine you are seeing this video for the first time now (supposing you're not just playing). Because I saw this video for the first time living in Soviet Union, on Soviet Television, in the 1980s!
The only way I knew this was MTV!
Btw, most of MTV was, looking back, cringy!!

ROBIN TROWER - Bridge Of Sighs (1974 UK TV Appearance)
Prince put the group together.
Indeed gorgous and talented woman. It was back when woman could be pretty without having to be practically nude or massive proportions. They also didnt have to worry about men trying to take over as women.
Susanna Hoffs was the hottest woman of the time, for sure
She was nice
I would gladly dance like an egyptian if I wanted to. You might look like a fool to some but forget what the others think and enjoy yourself. If you want to dance like an egyptian than dance. Personally I think the twerk looks stupid because its being overused too much. Even kids are doing it. Sometimes its best to just let your inner dance out and dance if you want to. Heck maybe we need to bring back the safety dance lol.
If everyone knows the song how is this a reaction?
oh hazy shade of winter to sorry just thought of it
ground breaking with rock-disco music if you think of it
