Thank you for the comment and for watching. Yeah, I try to keep things instructional and educational, rather than sensational. So content grows more slowly when you keep that approach. 🤓
Thank you Todd - this comparison and demonstration of each of these reverbs was invaluable. I have most of these and have often struggled to choose the right one. I was impressed with how good the EMT 250 can sound on vocals and I’ll give it another try after seeing how you use it. I've found that using the Lexicon 480L in dual mono mode with two different large hall settings gives a huge, lush and "cinematic" space (there's a demo of this being used on orchestra in the video "My favorite reverb settings: Marc Daniel Nelson".
Thanks for watching. I think you mean the 5060. I have a video on it. Rupert Neve Designs 5060 Centerpiece 🏆 Workflow Tutorial and Summing Review 🎬 ruclips.net/video/tCHIyOlh8vU/видео.html
Hi Ben! Well I love both of those. I use the slapback preset from the 250 a ton, and I’m also a big fan of the 224, but with the mid pushed up a bit. That trail off of the reverb tail is perfect for my sound. But who doesn’t love the 480 too!!! 😃
For recording guitar, which do you like best if choosing among the AMS RMX16, EMT 250, and EMT 140? I already have the Lexicon reverbs but looking to add another - the RMX16 seems to have something that goes beyond just simple reverb.
Depends on what type of guitar. For nylon strings and other acoustics, a plate is amazing. But for electric or soundscapes, demo the AMS and compare it to the 250. They both have great sounds. The 250 might be a little more flexible. (Or maybe I’m just more used to it…)

What a great video! Really cool to hear the plugins being demonstrated so well
Thank you. It was a ton to cover. I didn’t want to make it too long, so I tried to focus mostly on use cases that would show how each one differs.
Todd you make fantastic videos! This one is very helpful!! Thanks so much my friend!
Thank you for that comment! I love hearing when these videos help people. 😀
Great video! Very helpful!
Thank you for watching!
480L is my favorite, although the EMT250 did well with vocals! Who are the singers? They're great!
The singers are great. It’s actually a track from a producer friend. Scott from Stranded on a Planet. Great engineer.
Thanks for the comment!
I like the ams for slap vocals I don’t remember the name of the black And red plug-in but I would put both of them together on a vocal.
The EMT 250? That’s a great one.
Hi ! Thanks for the video. Please could you tell me what the heck is that device to your right hand side ? The one with a red panel ?
Thanks for watching. I think you mean the 5060. I have a video on it.
