I will continue to say that the most overlooked part of Mixon is that he never fumbles the ball. We lost some big pieces but it seems we've filled the holes pretty well too. Gonna be a fun season

Mixon is a better receiver than Moss, but Moss is one of the best pass blocking backs in the league, while Mixon was one of the worst.
How many sacks did Burrow take because Mixon missed his block?
Mixon's ball security is trumped by his PISSPOOR pass protection... RB by committee is the way to go, in a pass first offense.

As a Stillerz fan I'm not camping on the Bengals, or any other team in the AFC North. I would argue you need backs, not just one but two play in this division. Bad weather & physical defenses can make for a bad day for any QB. Best bet for Burrow to stay healthy is a good running game.

Been waiting for this one! Everybody is so focused on what Cincinnati let go (and treating Tee like he is already gone) that they haven't realized the Bengals have quietly overhauled their whole team.
Better OL, better TE room, better Safety room, finally got our 3 tech, brought in the only RB who does our system better than Mixon.
And other than Reader, who did we lose that matters? Chido, who never came back from that injury? Nah. MAYBE Boyd, but we already had a succession plan for that.
This FA has taken care of all the little flaws Joe Burrow had been hiding that became apparent last year. If we managed to draft T'Vondre Sweat or McKinnley Jackson, the Bengals are damn near as stacked as they can be.
Reader is an unknown after his injury as well.

love your optimism. Bengals made some nice moves but they aren't where they need to be yet to win it all and that's all we care about now after sniffing the superbowl. The O line was bad most of Mixon's career if not all of it, he's very good. I'm still really concerned about the O line and D line, wish they would start there and make those areas elite. That helps everything else

I don't remember the player, but he played two consecutive seasons under a franchise tag. It may have been Mr. A.J.Green
They need to trade Higgins to make sure they get something for him instead of letting him walk after the tag.
Also good riddance to Joe Mixon his production has been down, averaged less than 4 yards a carry twice in the last 4 seasons.
I wouldn't talk bad about Mixon he loves the bengals and took a pay cut last year. But we did need an upgrade

Huge Joe Burrow fan, I'm not really confident in the Bengals as I was a couple of years ago. They still got the worst defense, coaching and o-line in that division. if Joe goes down, you can pencil them in for last place in that division again. I think a major change is needed like coaching staff, can't keep living off that superbowl appearance a few years ago. They have become incremently worse each year since. The only reason I'm still following the bengals is because my man and favorite player Burrow is still playing for them.

with all the cap money, just get Tee and Jamar signed. rework Burrow's contract if you have to but get it done already. the cap goes up tremendously every year so it will all work out.
Moss is definitely an upgrade. Mixon couldn't pass protect at all, and Moss is a very solid protector. He's also younger, with a higher avg yds per carry, and he runs well out of the shotgun which the Bengals love to use. Mixon was good, but he has declined a bit every year for the last few years.
Their quarterback is way too injury prone for them to be real contenders.

The experts forget, Burrow IMO, wasn't 100% healthy all of last season ! But did you see what he did to the 49ers ? We got NOTHING from Irv Smith Jr. and our supposedly much improved O - Line only went from 30th ranked to 26th. If we can keep Joe healthy...with the additions we've made ( and we haven't even taken our NINE picks in the draft yet ) the rest of the NFL needs to take notice !

Oh I don't doubt the guys, but I have mixed emotions. A lot of success we had was in part to our running game, and Joe Mixon he is a very dependable back he hardly fumbles and can move in open ground IDK much about this new guy but he is new there will be a curve there unless he just clicks, Reader is one of best in the league if you ask me but I think that picking up that DL will be a good fit. It's up to the coaches to get these guys running in lockstep with each other. Our talent is here just need Zach and company to bring it up and put on a show.

I personally no longer care to keep Tee Higgins around. He clearly didn't want to be here last year, clearly doesn't want to be here this year.
Higgins is like the 12th-15th best WR in the NFL, and the Bengals will pay him as the 2nd or 3rd highest paid receiver in the NFL on this franchise tag, despite the fact Tee was coming off a down year... And that's still not good enough for him???
He honestly stopped being a Bengal when he willingly ditched Isaac Curtis/Chad Johnson's number, turning down the legacy of the Bengals' #85 to try to work on his own brand. Was clearly a move to try to get him paid elsewhere.

Who dey nation is in a very good place, I love that people is not talking about us right now. Free agency right now it's hard to not give us an A to A+ right now we upgraded everywhere we needed to upgrade and we did it without over spending for anybody and got younger at key positions. The draft is wide open now in the first round I still think we should o lineman depending on how the board falls to us. And people don't know that Moss was the full time starter he lead the whole nfl in rushing and is way way better pass blocker than mixon
This is going to be a hail mary season. Hopefully, the Bengals has made great moves this year, but we will see.
I think the Jesse Bates debacle was the worst loss in years. So the possibility of losing Tee Higgins is right up there with the loss of Jesse Bates. It's going to hurt.

Lifelong Bengals fan. It’s not realistic to sign Tee even though I would love to keep him, Chase and Burrow together. Just can’t do it if we want to have any type of competitive defense and team around them.

Can't afford what Higgins' agent wants, what Chase is gonna want and what Burrow is getting paid. Higgins is the odd man out. He's the best jump ball receiver in the NFL and you can't teach height. Still, Chase can turn any pass into a TD and you can't give that up. I just wish they got a nose tackle to make up for Reader -- that's the one space question mark really left outside of depth.

They will likely make Higgins play on the tag or sit out. Bengals are notorious for overvaluing their players in trade situations.
With all the supposedly good receivers in the draft, nobody will want to trade for Tee, then have to give him ~25 mill/year when they have a chance to get a similar player on a 4 year rookie deal. Jefferson is running into the same thing.

I like T more than Jamar he's tall and awareness after the catch remember that spin behind the helmet reach for a touchdown.I like both but one of the few in Cincinnati that agrees we have 2 number one receivers. But I think T is slightly bigger and better

With a healthy Burrow we will be fine on offense, if we can do better vs the run the defense will be fine.
