    There were a lot of people, A LOT, that would have pulled the trigger if it wasn't just a refreshed rincon without EPS and diff lock. They would have probably shattered a sales record if the production kept up with demand.

    I have owned Hondas practically my whole life and loved them. I too got excited by the new Rubicon 700 Automatic when I saw it on Honda's website. I was completely disappointed when I realized it was the same old Rincon with new plastics and , yes, ugly pod light. This is insanity on Honda's part. The Rincon and Pioneer 700 both need a complete overhaul with the 750 inline twin and DCT transmission that they already have available. Put a high and low range in it also, power steering, and diff lock and that would be something that would really sell! Come on Honda, get it together and listen to your real world customers!

    Can’t continue to defend Honda at this point. This is more of a slap in the face to its customers than if they just wouldn’t have released it at all. This quad didn’t make sense 10 years ago, hence why they discontinued it. This new one will fail for all the same reasons the first Rincon failed…I don’t know how they don’t understand that.

    I’m totally a Honda fan , I own many Honda products including 2 Honda Rubicon 2017 & 2024 I absolutely have no problem or complaints whatsoever. My rubicon performs extremely well and totally worth the money. I totally understand in regards of the Honda 700cc 2025 I wouldn’t own one at all . 3 speeds and no power steering lol what a joke. I’m too very surprised that Honda took it on the market. Always do your research and your homework on everything you planned to buy . Most salespeople don’t know anything in their field. Many people will be disappointed with the 700cc Honda, time will tell. I used to belong to an atv club and Honda was the number one performance and durability . Other competitors don’t even get closer than Honda. Honda doesn’t have to compete with the other. Honda is Honda,take it or leave it . I’m a fan from my heart. Take care of your Honda and your Honda will take care of you . God bless everyone and stay safe.👍❤️🙏

      @@poppymonroewildbelieve it or not, there’s lots of demand for the rincon. So what Honda did, is they took the old rincon and renamed it rubicon 700. The reason being, is that Honda is remaking the rincon as its flagship atv(and about time). They wanted to keep the rincon name for the new one that’s gonna come out most likely in 2025. The rubicon 700 is “an in betweener “ i had the rincon 680. I liked it very much for trail riding. Now i have the rubicon 520 because of the front locker, the high and low and for the dct. I bought my Honda Foreman 520 atv for durability, And a little bit because the front look better than most quads.That said they need more Features, upgrade displays with rpms and mpg, etc. Some more storage On the quads and more engine options like a 700cc, etc...Otherwise, people will not be sticking with honda. This new model is a prime example of Looking backwards.. Honda needs to innovate more, and have stuff that looks nice, dependable, not recycled looking.. • @Icutmetal

    I can tell you that after a few years of working for a large Japanese manufacturer, I’m figuring out that the Japanese are painfully calculated and at times very slow to bring new products to market vs their competitors, but when a product FINALLY hits the market, it’s usually pretty legit. In the case of Honda, they take all that to the absolute extreme. However, they still sell for more and hold great value, so from a business standpoint…I guess I get it.
    I don’t think Honda needs a mega HP Rubicon and don’t believe the people who complain about that are Honda’s intended market, but I don’t think it’s a big ask for something closer to a Grizzly or KQ in the engine department.

    I have a 420 rancher I bought years back and liked it so much I bouth a 2020 Rubicon 520. Stock the 420 was faster. I had to put bigger tires on the 520, a power commander, hmf full exhaust and then it was slightly faster than the rancher. Its nice but I was into the rancher for half price. Then in 2022 since we have had good luck with our yamaha wolverine x2 I bought a Grizzly. Wow. What a difference. Suspension is way better, no more vibration through the foot pegs, plenty of giddy up, comfy seat, and no more jerks from the transmission as it goes through the drive ratios since the cvt is smooth vs the DCT. The only thing my honda's do better is they are slightly quieter, slight better mpg, maybe a little lighter. In hindsight I would only recommend a honda four wheeler if you absolutely need the geared trans (deep mud water concerns) and get it used for a great price. If buying new its hard to beat the grizzly or a few bucks less the kodiak. The other brands are a coin flip on reliability but if I had to pick through them the new canam outlander 700 and maybe a cfmoto as they have come a long way.

    I'm with you, I think Honda has terrible product management and marketing in this market. I bought a RIncon new in 2003, which was an amazing machine for its day, with an amazing suspension. The slushbox transmission was geared too high at low speeds, it wasn't fuel injected, no power steering, but a fun machine, if not really competing with competitors flagship product features. Twenty years later, with bad shoulders and tired of re-jetting the carb twice a year, I bought a Rubicon 520 EPS DCT because the "new" Rincon was so completely out of date. The Rubicon has great utility and wonderful (if buggy) transmission, but it's under-powered and slow. It seems like Honda is saying to loyal customers that wish for better: "if you like competitor's features, go buy their products."

    I feel like getting a dct 5 speed transmission with a low range(like the rubi 520) and eps would be enough, the 680 motor is a torque beast that is let down by a 3 speed transmission, eps is a good thing to have because when you steer the weight steers the wheels back to the middle so you gotta fight to steer, not so much of a problem on the 420 since it's lighter, imo diff lock isn't necessary considering the rincon still has 2 brake levers and i never needed diff lock whatsoever.

The most miles I have seen on a Polaris was a Polaris Ranger on a farm that had 17,000 miles but required a lot of engine work to get it there. I hope hinda is bot test marketing the 700 to see if there are people that would buy a bigger bike because this would not give an indication as they have not upgrades anything with the 700. I will not buy a new Honda now

    No power steering on a 700 is so stupid. I'm chompin at the bit for them to put eps and the talon 1000 motor and trans in the rincon frame, but until they do, I'll buy other brands. We use hondas on the farm but they're too slow for the trail so they only get half the revenue they could be getting from me

    That Engine and trans are great but needs a gear reduction which is rumored they may have done that. I hope anyways. But yes should have at least had power steering and just used the diffs from the current 520 atleast I'm sure would of worked. However it's a proven power train just lacks in the first gear as any Rincon owner will tell you they are dogs. But can rip at higher speeds. Hope the gear reduction was done at a minimum or else yes no one who does any research would think to buy it

    This is more of the type of riding that the Rubicon 700 is geared towards, at this it excels above the 420’s, and 520’s. People didn’t get the 700 they “ WANTED “ , but that wasn’t Honda’s goal. Honda is just being Honda . . . Reliable. It is a solid machine. Honda isn’t falling behind, Honda has proven they are the gold standard for reliability, not even Yamaha has the track record Honda has. It’s like Toyota, they don’t come out with the newest latest features like the big 3, but they will outlast them all. ruclips.net/video/IuTONL9UYuU/видео.htmlsi=Xd9FXv8qC5_Gv-Kl

    Here is another example of trail systems that pair up better with the Rincon, and Rubicon 700. I’m from southern West Virginia down from Logan, and Boone counties where the Hatfield and McCoy trails are. I lived there for 30yrs riding in those mountains. I understand the need for low gearing, diff lock , etc , but I now live in Wisconsin, the trails are much different up here, and all that low end, diff lock, even 4wd isn’t all that necessary always . The world is a big place, and there is a lot of different types of terrain and environments. The Rincon 680, and Rubicon 700 do better in certain situations where higher gearing makes more sense. Low end torque isn’t always necessary for all types of riding. You have to look at a bigger picture. The Rincon, and Rubicon 700 will get you around larger areas faster than the 420’s, and 520’s ruclips.net/video/CbrOYt4aws4/видео.htmlsi=Nz7PDyrJX6h8w9ZM

      There are way better options than the Rincon for that application, and no one who wants to go "fast" in confort buys a Honda. In Canada the Rincon is mostly a total let down.

    • @TiffanyBottomsHunter
      @TiffanyBottomsHunter 3 месяца назад +1

      @@poppymonroewild As far as a machine that’s reliable for the long term, there really isn’t. The Grizzly is okay, but Polaris and Can Am lack quality control. It just depends on what type of riding you do, and where. I’ve rode ATVs since a small child, and lots of it. In West Virginia I wouldn’t consider it a good option because if the terrain, but in places like Arizona, or Wisconsin it would be a good reliable option. I know Honda, we will need to wait to see them in person, and some honest reviews, but I figure it’s primarily the same Rincon 680 with some additional tuning for a little more performance. It definitely looks better in my opinion. Yeah they could have turned it into a 720 just like the 420, and 520 only a little more displacement, but that’s not much different. Honda won’t likely do anything drastic as far as changes go, that’s just not Honda. Japanese manufacturers have a different marketing strategy than Polaris and Can Am. Reliable machines are the Japanese manufacturers priority. The Kawasaki Brute Force 750 only got aesthetic changes as well, but it too is a solid machine. The Yamaha Grizzly hasn’t changed much either. The Suzuki King Quad is still the same. They don’t change things up every few years, they just change the colors basically. The new outlanders have had some quality control issues as far as loose bolts, and hoses from the dealers. I mean having crankcase bolts hanging out unsecured on a brand new $12,000.00 plus machine shouldn’t be happening. Even the Yamaha’s have had fuel pump issues, as well as reports of bolts falling off at random places on the skid plates, fenders, etc. Not the motor. Honda holds the top position as the most reliable machine all around, with good quality control. I have had Polaris, Can Ams while powerful, are for the most part more of a short term machine until the next thing comes out. Polaris rides smooth, but still suffers from quality issues. I know Honda seems dull, boring, and the same old thing. Honda sticks with what works. They likely see enough sales that satisfy their profit margins.

  • @TiffanyBottomsHunter
    @TiffanyBottomsHunter 3 месяца назад

    The Honda Rubicon 700 will be a good machine, I know it’s basically the Rincon 680 with aesthetic updates. It may not be the 700 a lot people want, but that wasn’t Honda’s goal here. They know what they are doing, they know the market better than you or I. They know what people “ WANT “ , but that’s not what there goal is. The Rubicon 700 has its place, but it’s not designed for the same applications as the 420’s, or 520’s. Those two lines are for work oriented applications such as for Ranches, and Farms. That’s why they have lower gearing, and hitches. The Rincon 680, and now the Rubicon 700 are trail riding machines, intended for riding at higher speeds, which may also explain why they did not include assisted power steering, or a locker. Those other two machines the 420’s, and 520’s operate at slower speeds where lockers, and power steering makes more sense.
