I love the idea of starting 2022 with a decluttered home!

Lately I think we could all use a great start to 2022. A declutter space tends to stop my mind from racing all the time so I'm looking forward to some relaxation and calm.

Hey there! I'm back for another video. We are #decluttering so many items in our condo to move into our RV in February for full-time living so I love watching these videos for motivation.

That's awesome! Decluttering is such a great idea before moving, just getting that fresh start in a new place. I really don't like when I find a box that was moved from a previous place and is filled with junk I don't need.

Who is the rock lover in the family? My little brother loves rocks, and I must admit, some of them are really cool!

All my kids love collecting rocks when we go for walks. We walk to school everyday and we take our dog for daily walks so there is lots of opportunities to grab rocks and leaves and sticks lol I've been looking into maybe getting them a rock polisher? I mean if there are going to come into the house I want them to at least be clean haha.

They definitely don't make them like they used to! I still can't believe that they still work after almost 30 years!! Watching my 9 year old play some Mario 64 and Donkey Kong Country SNES definitely brought back some nostalgic feelings lol

@@acleanhousewithmuddyboots4572 that is for sure. The games and controls now a days make me feel so old. I'm just over here like what does this button do and that button do. I used to be able to play Nintendo 64 as easily as riding a bike lol. However, I do enjoy the pokemon games they came out with. It took me forever to really try and get into them and then my husband would come home and I'd still be playing at 9pm like oh I caught all these lol. He's like when do I get a turn😅😅😅.

I had to put a bucket on our porch that I make the kids put their rocks into so they don't come into the house but there are still a few that sneak in lol

Decluttering is definitely overwhelming especially when you first start. Don't think of it as a huge project but as tiny little projects. Set a realistic goal of getting maybe one box done and go from there. You can also set a timer and focus on a set amount each day like 15 minutes - you will be surprised how much you can get done in an uninterrupted 15 minutes. I also did a video dedicated to decluttering my craft supplies!

I keep my pup's toys in a crate just like that except your dogs toys are in good shape. My guy plays hard.

Penny definitely has destroyed toys before especially anything in the stuffed animal variety but we tend to buy toys that are geared towards aggressive chewers and they last much longer.

    Dear parents!
When Your kids are very good behaviour all the time and always taking good care of their things, keeping their rooms very clean, loving their favorite things and want to make nice childhood collections of their things: books, clothes, toys, video games, clothes, DVDs and etc, then donataing is very wrong thing to do. If You have few space then storage boxes and shelves will help You out and Your kids will be very happy and thankful then, if they can keep their favourite things. Childhood things are very valuable and it is very sad, if they won’t see them anymore in their life. Every child should have the right to keep their things, if they can take good care of them all the time!!!
    Respectfully,
    Astra Viil

I completely agree about keeping cherished childhood memories and keepsakes. My kids definitely have their favorites that they have held on to for years, but keeping everything is not feasible. Not all toys hold the same value to them and they know that donating them will bring joy to another child. If the toy was expensive I help them sell it and then they can use the money for whatever they want. My oldest is currently saving up for a Nintendo Switch. There are at least 10 toys that I would never even ask about getting rid of but if I notice a toy that doesn't get played with I will talk to my kids about it and see how they feel. You may be surprised what they feel comfortable getting rid of.
