I always love to see people that don't use Diluc often actually enjoying him when they finally give him a chance. He's overlooked a lot and even if there is characters with bigger damage than him, he is still very fun to play, has an incredibly solid kit and play style and gets the job done easily properly

Yunjin is kinda cringe with Heizou...He needs an off-field DPS. The perfect comp is with Xiangling Bennett and Raiden/Fischl. It does some really nice dmg and stuns the mobs
He prob didnt want to use national, but ye yunjin was dead weight, just replacing her with fichl for off field dmg or mona for more personal dmg would have been better
Also, with Heizou you wanna use his charged attacks more than his normals, since his CA don't have standard ICD and can proc swirl with every use. Building stacks is waaaay faster like that.
in case anyone is having issues with the cryo hipostasis, u can always use a normal charge attack from a bow user to break the shield from the final phase, its a lot easier and better, i remember it by seeing mr xlice not using Yelan for it lol
Mihoyo will probably release a Claymore specifically for Diluc to get him back into the meta just like HOT Mei from Honkai. She went from being power creeped back to being one of the best in the meta just from a weapon release. We’ll probably see something similar in Genshin Diluc’s case…hopefully. Lol

That would apply to any flying enemies. Thunder manifestation, specters, oceanid, flying doggos. I can handle 3 lectors and 3 kenkis but not this boss man

Also any off field attacker like yelan, xingqiu yae and raiden also good for this chamber. Oh also mono geo team is quite good since ruin serpent has less resistance towards geo. Serpent is not easy like this shit talking idiot above me said. It depends on rng sometimes and not everyone build their catalyst and bow dps and not everyone have 5 stars off field damage dealer. as a diluc main, i'm not sure i entirely agree with that team xD both yelan and xingqiu apply enough hydro that no other hydro character is needed (with the proper ER) and a c6 benny is just too good for him to pass up. and idk how much of a difference it makes compared to zhongli but c2 kazuha really does wonders for him as well. also why is there so much favonius happening on that team? who needs that much energy? xD diluc would probably prefer a bit more EM as well and heizou would've done fine even without benny if he had a proper off-field elemental applier. but i'm sure another 50 people have mentioned all these things before lmao
in 12-2 second half, he could've moved in either the far left or far right, just to make one of the ruin cruisers move closer to the other ruin machines. that way, they're grouped, making it easier to finish them.
I think it would've been better if yunjin was on team diluc and one of the hydro is on team heizou. Yunjin's buff is much better for diluc's NA while hydro off field is better for heizou swirl. Declension stacks would've stacked much faster while sunfire swirl is going on. Overall, i'm happy that mr. pp was having fun playing with diluc kekw
Using either xiangling as off field dps or mona for higher nukes would have been so much more beneficial than yunjin since heizou has shit NA multipliers
With Heizou, you need to use him on a team that can constantly apply elements so that he can swirl them. That's how to get more DPS with him so you could've gotten more damage onto the Rui Serpent if you did. A strong recommendation is a taser team with two electro and one hydro and then Heizou.
Lost prayer is definitely not one of his BiS, Atlas was better here because he wanted to use him as s NA DPS, but Widsith is his BiS when trying to do the most damage with his skill

honestly i think if you plan to play double hydro for Diluc you should bring an anemo character with you. You have more grouping and better pyro shred than Zhongli. You don't have a beefy shield of course but most of the time i find dodging and Xingqiu's rainswords are enough for me to sustain through floors.

No because as someone who is AR56 without Yelan and Heizou, I wanted to cry when I saw the ruin serpent on a floor I had always struggled with (my characters aren’t as strong as most I did end up getting 28 stars and getting through floor 12 though-)
I was going to challenge myself by going back to my starter pack team and try to 36 star this abyss. But then I saw the ruin serpent, instantly gave up, and deployed Hypercarry Raiden instead. I am very impressed that you managed to stick with this team that you have.
Honestly, a whatever Raiden team works. i tried itto comp but.. sadness 😂 At least this rotation differs from the last one where i tried almost everyone i had and finished it easier lol.
Yunjin was definitely the wrong play here because she made the rotations way too long that by the time you got to use Heizou's autos the buff is gone. Not only do you have to use both Bennett and Jean after you also tend to do an N1C/Q/E before autoing extending it even further. Not only that the ER requirments for a team like this is so much higher. LOL All in all hilarious video the pain was real!
From what I’ve learned from this floor 12: 12-1 First half: Unless you’re that confident that the samachurl pillars won’t be an issue, those are the priority, mita and lawachurls will chase you so leave those mostly alone unless the shield phase lawa is giving you a ton of trouble. This and 12-2 are the most fun ones to me. 12-1 second half: is essentially doing what Xlice did for the strat except you can use the back or front wall to group them up. I personally can’t recommend the side walls because when the Kairagi spawn, if you’re on one side wall the other will likely just stand on the other side instead of giving chase. 12-2 First half: Hypostasis’s wheel attack always charges forward three times as opposed to one or two (at least the first time it does it). 12-2 second half: For the ruin enemies, I personally attack one of the Cruisers on the side when the first three spawn, mow them down, then run straight to the Grader since the Destroyers will follow wherever you go. 12-3 First half: Cryogunners first, mirror maiden after. If you target mirror maiden first, good luck, she has higher health the gunners, has an aura, runs away, and you’ll most likely feel the wrath of the gunners as they slow and eventually freeze you alongside the MM. The gunners don’t have freakishly high health, just take those down first. 12-3 Second half: Ruin Serpent is surprisingly above ground for longer periods than it’s overworld counterpart (I think). Damage phases by proxy are more reasonable and rotations don’t feel like a waste most of the time. For me personally, odds are you will deal with the sand whirl attack at least once unless your dps is absolutely insane.
Funnily enough for 12-3-1 I actually target the Mirror Maiden first, I was using Raiden National, my Bennet didn't have burst up at the start so once I start, Raiden E run to the Mirror Maiden, Bennet E causing overload stunning MM, run behind her Bennet Q, Xingqiu QE, Xiangling QE, Raiden Q and just go ham on the MM since the other two just die in the crossfire. 😂
my experience: 12-1-1: lol venti 12-1-2: ... i don't remember this chamber. was it the one with the samurais? then just hit them until they're dead. easy. the only thing i'd do is not to kill the first three guys TOO quickly otherwise the big guys will get the stupid electro armor soon after they spawn. wait till the stupid crystal buffs the small samurai THEN finish them off. kill the big ones before it buffs them again. or just use a pyro character on this side, whatever. 12-2-1: don't use bursts to save energy to speedrun the next chamber. cube's weak and there's plenty of time to kill it without using bursts 12-2-2: robots? wham poof pow. easy. save energy for the next chamber too, but you can burst a lot because robots drop energy like nothing else. 12-3-1: lol venti, then zhongli then itto. 16 second kill 12-3-1: kill it before it burrows. if you get bad RNG and it does burrow, kill it HARDER when it surfaces.
The main thing i fucking hate about this game is that it doesnt have a proper targeting system, i really like being able to select my target and move to next/previous on push of some buttons like you can with most mmos/rpg games.
Funny enough I also used Diluc and Heizou, however I used electrocharged Heizou with Xingqiu and Fischl and Jean And I used Diluc Yelan Kazuha and Bennett

i used diluc just to justify buying the skin and it worked ok, first half is basically made for mono pyro.

The day Xlice became a Diluc main
From what I’ve learned from this floor 12:
12-1 First half: Unless you’re that confident that the samachurl pillars won’t be an issue, those are the priority, mita and lawachurls will chase you so leave those mostly alone unless the shield phase lawa is giving you a ton of trouble. This and 12-2 are the most fun ones to me.
12-1 second half: is essentially doing what Xlice did for the strat except you can use the back or front wall to group them up. I personally can’t recommend the side walls because when the Kairagi spawn, if you’re on one side wall the other will likely just stand on the other side instead of giving chase.
12-2 First half: Hypostasis’s wheel attack always charges forward three times as opposed to one or two (at least the first time it does it).
12-2 second half: For the ruin enemies, I personally attack one of the Cruisers on the side when the first three spawn, mow them down, then run straight to the Grader since the Destroyers will follow wherever you go.
12-3 First half: Cryogunners first, mirror maiden after. If you target mirror maiden first, good luck, she has higher health the gunners, has an aura, runs away, and you’ll most likely feel the wrath of the gunners as they slow and eventually freeze you alongside the MM. The gunners don’t have freakishly high health, just take those down first.
12-3 Second half: Ruin Serpent is surprisingly above ground for longer periods than it’s overworld counterpart (I think). Damage phases by proxy are more reasonable and rotations don’t feel like a waste most of the time. For me personally, odds are you will deal with the sand whirl attack at least once unless your dps is absolutely insane.
Funnily enough for 12-3-1 I actually target the Mirror Maiden first, I was using Raiden National, my Bennet didn't have burst up at the start so once I start, Raiden E run to the Mirror Maiden, Bennet E causing overload stunning MM, run behind her Bennet Q, Xingqiu QE, Xiangling QE, Raiden Q and just go ham on the MM since the other two just die in the crossfire. 😂

12-1-1: lol venti
12-1-2: ... i don't remember this chamber. was it the one with the samurais? then just hit them until they're dead. easy. the only thing i'd do is not to kill the first three guys TOO quickly otherwise the big guys will get the stupid electro armor soon after they spawn. wait till the stupid crystal buffs the small samurai THEN finish them off. kill the big ones before it buffs them again. or just use a pyro character on this side, whatever.
12-2-1: don't use bursts to save energy to speedrun the next chamber. cube's weak and there's plenty of time to kill it without using bursts
12-2-2: robots? wham poof pow. easy. save energy for the next chamber too, but you can burst a lot because robots drop energy like nothing else.
12-3-1: lol venti, then zhongli then itto. 16 second kill
12-3-1: kill it before it burrows. if you get bad RNG and it does burrow, kill it HARDER when it surfaces.

The main thing i fucking hate about this game is that it doesnt have a proper targeting system, i really like being able to select my target and move to next/previous on push of some buttons like you can with most mmos/rpg games.

Diluc was considered meta back in the days because we don't have much Pyro dps people also overlooked Xiangling (in that time) as well and ever since 1.3 Hu tao came out and a lot of hypercarry after that he just feels much weaker than them
