Freakin LOVE Trevor Noah!!! He makes politics and current events relatable and hilarious!! After the shitshow “presidential debate” last year, I’m sure I’m not the only one to forgo watching it and wait to hear it from Trevor 😉 I’m so glad he’s found such success. The ability to create humor in a time of so much uncertainty, frustration, unrest, and even turmoil is such an incredible talent!!

I absolutely fell in love with Trevor Noah during the pandemic. I never heard of him before hand. I worked about 6o hours a week but when I lost my job and the news made me actually sick sometimes because the trump and his pos people had always said something dumb on a daily basis. I'm hoping he keeps the afro when he returns to the studio (IF he returns?). Some of the late night guys need a studio audience, but Trevor Noah and James Corden's shows both got even better during the pandemic. The new relaxed way of bringing us the funny news is more effective, entertaining and informative.

Trevor is one of the best comedians/satirist/journalist out today; I like John Oliver and Steven colbert also. Keeping people informed while entertained is an amazing rare talent. George Carlin was one of my favorites too.

Trevor is ok, not great in historical context of this show - I think Hasan and John had way better shows and it's hard to not compare him to the previous host either... Colbert got way worse when he stopped doing Colbert Report, turns out I found his character much more entertaining than his actual self...

Aw, I love that, his book is getting filmed????!!!!!! Lupita should play his mother, that I do know, another strong black woman, who can act and isn't just a pretty face. That book made me laugh, eventhough his situation was dire at times, but for him it seemed more like a big adventure. I don't know if I would be as resilient, if I was raised in an apartheid system and not fitting in either one ....
When I wrote this, I didn't even know Lupita is actually gonna play his mother in his book's adaptation Born a Crime, which I loved very much and can't wait to see who's playing Trevor, must be a little naughty, maybe different actors, coz it's not just abt a few yrs, it's abt his whole youth, so maybe we get to see several actors who are gonna play Trevor, can't wait to see the final results, only I hope they don't use Trevor to play him when he gets older in the movie, like they did with Tina Turner f.i. Let actors play this wonderful story, I want to see it win a few awards...

The only way I could stomach the time of mandatory isolation imposed by the pandemic was to know that some of my favorite comedians were living that same situation, even if worlds apart from where I was. To learn about something so brutal as the death of George Floyd through Trevor Noah was the only way I could at least think about that at a distance. To this day I could not bring myself to see that video of him being held under the knee of a policeman. It brings back memories I better not retrieve.
