This makes me want to buy another blind box. I bought a lot of 16 2600 carts without labels a few weeks ago and while the games were great (really great), the real fun part was discovering what they were. It was also fun to rehab them with new labels getting them all prettied up for my collection.
A guy I work with said his old Atari, and games are just sitting in a drawer somewhere. I was considering making him an offer and seeing what he's got.
Thank you, The Immortal One, for reminding us of our youth. Games were a huge part, and I love how you propagate that to new viewers. I still own my old systems (from an Atari to PS2). Old, I know. Keep it up...
You made out like a bandit with those 8-bit carts (and a couple of the Intellivision ones). A couple of those 2600 carts looked like rare label variations, but I don't know if we're doing those anymore.
John, you had me at Vanguard! Never was ported to many systems but I loved that one in the arcade back in the day. I think you got some pretty good titles. Was waiting for a Kangaroo.
John, thanks for sharing the unboxing. It would be awesome if you did a video about how to find the best deals on eBay. Maybe some kind of eBay game hunting master class.
It's too bad that after he said "oh by the way, there might be some non-Atari in there" you couldn't have said "oh by the way, some of the dollar bills I gave you were Monopoly money"...
You could start a trading community for catridges you own double. Like we used to do with sports cards at school. Then you help each other without costing a lot of money. Organise a meet up to trade expand the contacts. Not build around earning money, just people with the same hobby.
I haven't touched an Atari 2600 in probably over 35 years, but I remember having some games in the same shape as those Intellivision games. Are there 2600 games in that format? More likely I had several Intellivision games thrown in with my 2600 games.
Not bad at all, the selection is good, it would be better for one who wants to start a collection, still some tradable stuff there. My first system was an Atari XE, I had some of the grey cartridge games, but most of my games were tape copy games. Thanks for sharing John!

Loved the suspense! I was an Atari boy from '80 to '89.
Not a bad box. Great for someone starting a collection. Hopefully you'll feel you got your money's worth. Thanks for the video.
The 8-bit Atari carts are great. Very lucky. I vary rarely see them in gaming stores anymore.
Decent collection.
I just gotta say BurgerTime never gets old... I bought several variations on the Nintendo eShop 😄
The sounds of the carts coming out of the box with the plastic bags was full of nostalgia! Good 8-bit stack!

I forgot... Rygar all the way! Most underrated game in my mind...

Excellent Mr Hancock looking forward to this sir
Sheez that is a great 8 bit collection.
Decent. For me the price is a little high but so is everything else. I think the surprises are worth it.
Nice lot that seemed to be in great condition and offer some variety. I think it was a good deal.

I envy your collection and your eyebrows. Mine are large too, but yours are prettier.

Nice video John! I like these type of unboxing videos
Awesome vid. Brings me back to when I was a kid when I had the Atari 800 xl. Pole Position is the game that got me into gaming.
Its adorable that the first undisclosed non atari game was "snafu."
It's too bad that after he said "oh by the way, there might be some non-Atari in there" you couldn't have said "oh by the way, some of the dollar bills I gave you were Monopoly money"...
I was bugged about that but some of the games are good trade.
"Some games are not Atari" - pulls Snafu. Appropriate game name is appropriate lol
Nice i have to flash cartridges for my Atari 800xl

While that sounds great, I’d rather just post on Atariage.
What’s in the box

Bright 🍬 🏆🙂🙏🏼
Cool games
Too bad Pac-Man and E.T. weren't included to really complete the Atari 2600 experience, haha.
Thought that was a magic box there's alot of games?

Thank you very much
I like the retro porn music 😂
