@@FLASHAHOLIC_TVFor me it has perfect light distribution. Flood is enough for close medium distance surrounding, and then you have this wall blast of throwing pattern in the middle. Event the sustained brighteness around 9k lumen is a gold value for long usages. Light quality in therm of tint its something you cannot really evaluate in a video because of camera correction but i would really like to have one in my hand to try. (English is not my 1st lenguage sry)

Would you have any idea of how this would compare to the xhp70.3 version of the acebeam x75? I see the sr16 lives up to its specs and it's got a surprisingly good hotspot and throw.
Would like to see you test the x75 70.3 and see how they compare, since it's the most similar light to the sr16 on the market.
It would be very interesting. Sometimes it's not so much the ghrow but how wide the throw is. I suspect the 70.3 Hotspot is huge.

Was looking for more throw though and the beam profile of this sr16 is just what I wanted. Combo of huge lumens + good throw. But still no buyers remorse, I really dig the design of the x75!
I don’t think there is a good comparison between the X75 70.3 & the SR16. I guess one can’t get all what he dreams for. As I recall, one of the best combination of throw & wide beam was the discontinued R90TS from Imalent.

I think imalent did knock the r90ts outta the park with this one though. It's got the same the range but with an extra 20k lumens on top packed into such a smaller size. It's made the r90 obsolete so maybe it's why that one is outta production now where as its ms18 twin still is.
X75 70.3 has better design, better handle and switch position (middle on the handle instead of left side).
SR 16 has smaller dimensions, 100g less weight and much more better light pattern. Far more throwing than x75 70.3. If you want to blind yourself always 10m in front of you take the x75.
Great shots here but the college 1830m away was a hard fail. Didn't light that at all. Just got the tint from beam in front of camera view but no light on the college. Should had removed that bit. Do you have the astrolux mf05? I'd like to see how that lights it up

Same. Got an x75 70.3 a few days ago but looking at this sr16 makes me wanna splurge again on it LOL. That beam profile is absolutely perfect.
The x75 70.3 has more range than the 70.2 but the hotspot is definitely larger than the sr16 and not as defined. So overall I'll say it's more floodlight but with some range to it. But the aesthetics and design of the x75 was what got me sold on it. The looks and all the built in features.

They are very busy, so stock is continually running out. Waiting times can be long sometimes.
In my opinion, NO. Stay away. I ordered the SR16 almost 3 weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped. I contacted them twice and each time their very brief answer was "it will ship next week" supposedly due to no stock and then quality control issues. It's BS. Those weeks came and went and I'm still waiting for a tracking number. They never reached out to me to let me know what was happening before I contacted them. Yet they continue to sell the SR16 taking this and many customer's money, having no stock available - a practice illegal in the United States, and false shipping dates. I will be canceling the credit card charge. They are not a good retailer.
I placed an order with them on November 1st for the SR16 and I finally got an email yesterday with tracking number saying it had shipped.

Just letting everyone know I received the imalent sr16 today from neals gadgets. Awesome light. I like it better than my ms12 mini. It has a really long throw.
Your advice please. We photograph wildlife (from 50-200 meters) and need the throw more then the flood - would the SR16 or MR90 be better, or another flashlight?
SR16 is good but the tint might not be great for photos

@kruger2kalahari they are all on the cool side. You need a powerful high CRI light really. Acebeam make the most powerful afaik, but the throw won't be great. SR16 will be fine for hobby photography I guess.

Both great. The SR16 if you need throw. The MS12 mini is great for smaller wide areas where you don't want a glaring hotspot.

How hot does it get? Can you use it without the handle?
I own the sr16. You need a thin pair of gloves to hold it without the handle. I use Glider touchscreen gloves and don't feel the heat much at all. Without the gloves it burns like crap... @@bigbadaboomboom you could always just throw a colored headlight tint film on it. That's what I did. Comes right off and leaves no residue. My sr16 color temp is yellow now. I think I like it better that way. I don't notice a difference in lumen output

I love the videos and the northern sense of humour and dialogue is simply great. However, sadly based on this I bought one of these lights recently and despite all the hype it was rubbish I was so dissappointed !!
My example had NO "throw" whatsoever it was basically a £350+ flood light that was no better that the £14 floods on the side of my house. The lens fogged so I assume there was a major fault, so I ask, where is quality control on a £350 light? Needles to say its gone back to the retailer!!! I personally found the on/off switch is simply stupid and impossible for the novice to locate in total darkness and the handle needs to be much chunkier with a rubberised grip and angled further away from the dangerously hot main body. Do I sound negative? Well I am simply telling the truth something the Chinese have never heard of and as we all know they lie over just about everything with absurd claims even about the cheapest rubbish on Amazon. I wonder why Instead of making a light like this so compact why do they not double the battery capacity so it can function at a high output for a decent length of time instead of having a headline output that is avialable for a few seconds, now that would be a really useful flashlight!!! I should also remind any buyer that if you buy from overseas you can be hit with a large bill for 20% VAT plus duty and delays, so I suggest you buy from a UK distributor and I hope you have better fortune than I did.

Hi, I sent it back to be honest we are all mad for even considering paying this amount of money for what is in my opinion is a half baked torch. The headline output figure only lasts for a matter of second before dropping right down before the lithium batteries may blow up. If I got a £350 torch for nothing then I would probably be loath to rubbish it. However as much as I love Flashaholics videos Imalent has tried to get my review removed from Amazon and posted 2 fake reviews. All said and done I think I might try the Acebeam K75 when Amazon get supplied by Acebeam because I can always return it for free if it has any faults and knowing my luck it probably will. Do not buy from overseas unless you want to pay 20%vat and customs duty and delays. The Acebeam store on Amazon is the only way for me. The X75 xp3 version at £444 may be very good and the best option but seriously you could buy an old car for that!!! Mind you I still would love to try it. I have some GE aircraft landing lights and I put a pair of 250.000 candle power on my old Capri I could fry a cycllist at 100 yards. Now they were real lights!!

I wanted something with new gen of led, more power combined flood + throw 600 meters at least....but it s seem that I can not find anything. And acebeam x75 it is too much money
@@airgunadicted1057 Sorry I did not answer your question directly, the fogged area on my model seemed permanent and I assume greatly affected the performance because there simply was no throw just a big flood. I was just so grateful to Amazon for enabling me to return it (FREE picked up from the house) for a full refund. As you can see form my other piece I am still waiting for the K75 to appear.

I think Flashaholic should be nominated for an OSCAR great videos and a real sense of the "Peter Kay" humour about them. I am hoping to try an Acebeam K75 as and when Amazon have them available but it seems Acebeam probably all have Covid as the Chinese cannot seem to export any as yet and they promised me months ago they would be avaiable in the next 2 weeks. Maybe they are arriving by a very large balloon??? That's it!!! The Yanks have just shot down the Acebeam Ballooon with my K75 torch on it, bloody Yanks, and now their saying it was a spy balloon as and excuse.
The balloon thing is way suss, I'll have to do a balloon themed vid soon!

The music is super annoying. The fan is running and the music.. i guess so people dont hear how loud it is ? No good decision with the music and feels like a fraud to give Imalent some bonus points.
