- This episode features something a little different...a vintage action figure Q-tip cleaning! I make part of my living buying and selling vintage toys, and I've just purchased a nice collection of Star Wars action figures that were made by Kenner toys back in the late 70's and early 80's when the first movies came out. I like to clean them up prior to photographing and selling them, and I hope you've enjoyed tagging along.
As always, using earphones provides the best results. All comments are welcome, and please let me know if you'd like to see more vintage toys being featured.

I believe the 'frosting' is due to the cheap plastic breaking down. A hair dryer on a low setting should do the trick to recover the old plastic. If it's a carded figure, no need to remove figure - apply the heat through the blister. Just don't put the hair dryer too close.

I didn't know Clint Eastwood took such good care of his vintage Star Wars action figures!!!
Never seen something like this but as I continued to watch I found my eyes starting to droop and realized I had been had by an ASMR production. =) Nothing wrong with feeling relaxed.

one of my uncle's have a box of a few old star wars toys by kenner. I think only the main characters like the hero's Luke,Leia,Han,Chewie,R2, and 3po. my favorite is boba.
I remember having vader leia, solo, an imperial probe droid, chewbaca and several otehrs that somone took to goodwill and I got them, being a 7 year old what did I do? I removed them all form teh box and lost all the accessories to them and sold them at a yard sale for 8 bucks. Man im kicking myself now that I know they were valuable
Listen, make sure you treat your action figures with a protectant like Amour All or Turtle Wax. It will preserve and restore the plastic.
