    Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Terrell Davis, LaDainian Tomlinson, Adrian Peterson, they all had 2000 yard season.. and dominated the league when they played and I'm going to be a little biased because that's the running backs i grew up watching

      Sweetness was a problem for sure and it tore me up not having Barry but these other guys had an amazing singular seasons which included rec yards

      Can't forget about Jamel Lewis. The 2003 Ravens couldn't even pass the ball at all. He was the main reason on offense they got anywhere that season. I still remember that playoff game against the Titans. It's up on RUclips as a throwback game.

      Tomlinson and Payton never rushed for 2000

      @@blvd6969 i believe they are talking about scrimmage yard's. Not rushing yards

    I think AP should be on there because he led a terrible Vikings offense to the playoffs.

      Yeah he was a thought for sure but when you put his MVP year next to some of these guys I liked them more

    IMO there are only two RBs in the GOAT discussion....LT and Barry Sanders

      A million percent…but I’m super bias cause those are my two favorites lol

    Only One RB has the Super Bowl, Super Bowl MVP, NFL MVP and the NFL rushing Crown in one season. Just another way to define best season ever.

      we really tryna argue in favor of emmitt rn? with an argument based ONE HUNDRED PERCENT on circumstances? dude had td count of 10😭 his yardage number would have lead the league a whopping 3 times in the last 16 seasons being compared to guys who play in a more pass heavy league with offensive lines that don't have their name in the hat as the greatest group to ever do it. he scored 10 touchdowns and didn't even get to 1500 rushing yards behind THAT line and won the sb with one of the greatest teams in history? i'd sure hope he did😭 no, absolutely not, not a chance in hell that your circumstantial goat rb season holds up to guys who did it without a hall of fame team and hall of fame coaching, especially considering a guy like TD did the whole super bowl run the same decade and was unarguably more dominant as an individual. there is zero case for emmitt, it's still not your year😭

      @@brysenart Hater much? 1993 and 2006 are in the same decade? First off He also missed the 1st 2 games of the season and with that great O-line those 2 games the Cowboys couldn't run the ball at all. Different time means different play. You can't compare the 2000s to 1990s game to old school rules when everyone around you is taking cheap shots at you. but I bet LT would trade all his great seasons to winning a super bowl and doing what Emmitt Smith did that one year. Hell the Chargers had a better team then the 90s Cowboys. 1 defence and 1 offence doesn't come around very often. You can look at stats all you want in life but some of the Greatest players ever had great teams all around them. You could even say the Redskins, Giants, 49ers, Bills, Steelers, Chiefs, Lions had just as many great players around in the same ERA. Say what you want Emmitt Smith had probably had one of the greatest season ever as a player.
      But only one thing matters its WINNING!!!

      @@nfaudoa801 Yeah I can’t put Emmitt up here when most of these guys never ran behind a HOFer

    • @nfaudoa801
      @nfaudoa801 7 месяцев назад

      @@JayKnowsBall Come on man do any of you guys know Football? Only one made the Hall of Fame and that was Larry Allen. Every guy you put on this list is going to have one Hall of Fame lineman going except Tiki Barber and LT. Everyone discounts what Smith did making them look way better than they actually are. Christian McCaffrey will run behind more HOF guys when he retires than everyone. Emmitt Smith, Marshall Faulk, and Chris Johnson have at least one already in the HOF. It's fine I am not trying to convince you but do some research on guys before just tossing out random facts that come out of Cowboys hater's mouth. If you are only talking about stats say that but he is still the only player in NFL history to do all those things in one season. A few examples Joe Montana, he isn't the best QB ever when it comes to stats but that doesn't mean his 89 season wasn't great and one of the greatest seasons as a QB considering what time he did it in and against great teams or Dan Marino's and Eric Dickinson's 84 seasons. To do what those guys did in that era is saying something and it took decades and rule changes to help players now even come close to what they did.

    ngl to you bro i fw your energy but you're missing some more dominant seasons, terrell davis was the engine of back to back championships and his regular season performances should both go over any season that someone had with 11 tds. no disrespect to tiki, absolutely deserves more respect, but skipping on barry, terrell davis, walter, AP, and OJ (ik it's oj, but the football player was dominant and went over the 2k mark in a 14 game season. his pace thru 17 would get him to 2432 and 14-15 rushing tds, SIX yards per. had a season 2 years later that's better than number 5 too). i mean you're a niners fan idk how you put that tiki season over roger craig w that dominant of a team or marcus allen the same year. derrick henry's season also clears tiki. not including shaun alexander is backwards too, idgaf how great his offensive line was emmitt never did that, nobody other than LT right after did that. prolly not number 2 but it's better than at least a few of these. eric dickerson also had 2200 scrimmage yards and 20 total tds his rookie year and set the rushing record that still has yet to be passed 40 years later

      Yeah for sure some great seasons I left off and Tiki was really fresh on my mind so his amazing year was sticking out. I respect a lot of those other guys I even put AP and Barry in the thumbnail but I wanted to shine light on these guys. Also if I’m being honest CMC doesn’t make the list if he isn’t a Niner lol. So I feel what you’re saying especially with ED
