For anyone wondering what Samc's time was, the number fully written out was 144,115,188,075,855,900 minutes, or 274,191,758,135.1 years, which is about 60.4 times the time the earth has existed, or 2 times the age of our known universe. So it's fair to say he lost.
Edit: well I didn't realize they did most of that math after they showed the number 😅

Loved the video! Hopefully next time everybody realizes that when you fall and die on a block, particles of that block flash before you die. So when they keep repeatedly dying on a barrier block, they will realize it’s a barrier block because the particles are red instead!

The time taken by him is 4+8+16+32....58times this forms a gp then a=4, r=2 and formula for this is a(r^n-1)/r-1
I.e 4(2^58-1)/2-1= 2^60-4

31:40 Hi, just want to say the maths they used and some people in the comments are incorrect in my opinion (although this could be up to interpretation about the rules of adding time).
the equation is not 2^(58-1) because this only gives the time added by the last one only, however, the real number is the sum of all previous ones plus this. That number can be found with 2^58 - 1 which is 288230380000000000 mins.
to put that into context, this amount of time is 40 times greater than the age of the universe... According to one of the three main theories of how the universe will end (the big rip) the universe will end in just 22 billion years so that comes out to over 14 times the lifespan of the universe.
Time will stop existing before that ever happens.

@@alisaglam2465 if you look earlier you can see the real equation was 2^(58-1) where 58 was the amount of doubles. If they only went once it would be 2^(1-1) so 2^0 which is 1. If you're saying what I think you're saying this means I did account for that

@@alisaglam2465 yes you can because any number to the power of 0 is 1 so 2^0 is one.
That's why I subtract one from the power so if you only do it once then it is 2^0 which is 1, twice 2^1 is 2 and three times 2^3 is 4, etc...
If you want proof to get from 2^1=2 to 2^2=4 you multiply by the base number, 2. Similarly, getting from 2^2=4 to 2^1=2 you divide by 2. Take this one step further and you divide by 2 again to get 2^0=1.

Umm.. So I checked and found out that you guys did the calculaton❗WRONG❗The real time is a lot more than the time shown on screen.
Here's the answer,
576,460,752,303,423,487 minutes
You only calculated the time of the last pillar and forgot to add the time of the other 57 pillars.
BTW I did not add the 33 min and 59 sec of his time in the above shown time
