Travis, very good video. I am a member of that church and used to be in a Bishopric. Just wanted to pass on some more info. The prices are the same for members and nonmembers. Also the church gives away over a billion dollars of help away every year. so if you know of any who are in financial hardships, sometimes the church will buy that family food for the month (membership does not matter). Thanks again, have a good day. Edited to say: Travis you're right it is run and maintained all by volunteers. To get help (free food), they cannot go to the store directly, they will have to go and talk to the Bishop of the nearest LDS church and have a financial needs interview and then he will give them a signed form for them to take to the store.
I’m not a member but let me tell you the LDS Church takes care of people. Very prepared people. I have family within the Church and friends, I have a lot of respect for them.
Too bad other Churches do not do the same as the LDS!
True Story Folks, as an Ham Radio Operator, years ago driving through Salt Lake, talking to a Local Ham I was invited to join them at a Church BBQ going on. Hey they did know me or anything about me. Their Church even has Young men who will help you do things if you ask, I have never been in one of my Churches where that happened! No, I am not an LDS, but I know what Jesus told us to do when he walked the Earth. It seems a lot of Churches had Hearing Problems. I wish our City had a Bishops store House, I would be willing to volunteer there even though I am not LDS. I miss the LDS Second Time Around Store where we used to live, they were all very nice People!
I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If you don’t live near a store you can also order these products online on their website.
I drive to the one nearest me, every week or two, since just over a month ago. I probably have over 60 #10 cans of their foods. This has really rounded out what I’ve purchased from regular supermarkets. If things don’t get to bad during the next 10+ years, some of the cans are for my retirement.
Also, I prefer to drive there as, if I ordered online and had the boxes shipped to me, my neighbors would know and I’m trying to maintain OpSec and I don’t want porch pirates skipping off with it.
Thank you
Jeffrey,What is That Exact Website,Please?
I am a member of the church too I am so very proud being a member of the true church if Jesus Christ of later day saints....I love and so proud of our products and helping people too
Love these guys. I order directly from them. Good prices Cheap shipping
❤
The extra cost for the can and the time savings are more than worth the cost of the mylar bags, O2 absorbers and buckets. AT LDS, not so much at other places. LDS has GREAT prices.
Yes, because I’d have to buy containers, etc. It’s enough work buying them, bringing them home and finding a place to store them. It’s taking me enough time, effort and money to dehydrate and can that which they don’t carry.
But, although I’ve yet to open anything, I like the fact that it doesn’t come with all sorts of sauces, sodium, fat, sugar. If you have certain dietary needs, this might be better for you than the more expensive, commercial offerings.
I have been buying from the Columbia, SC store for over 1 year. They are wonderful, helpful people. I am not Mormon either and they do not care. Takes me 1 hour to get there but it is still worth it.
Well what a coincidence, I am also about an hour from Columbia S.C. I haven't been to that store yet but am definitely planning to go this Thursday. Thanks for the recommendation.
They have an online store also, thanks for the video.
Went there once very nice people. They are willing to help
Thank you Travis for this info. I did not know about it and just looked up that I am near a store. Will be making them a visit to add to my preps. Woohoo...🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Prayers for us all.
Yup..... good video ..... LDS have been sending their people around to different areas for years to help educate their members in preparedness
Thanks for the tip! I never knew this!
Great people to deal with
I've heard of this before thanks I'll check it out 👍
Thank you for this video! Couldn't believe theres 1 near me. Will definitely check them this week!
Thank you Travis.
I love ordering from them. I still have not been to their store, its actually close to me.
So, you don't have to be LDS to shop there. That's great. I have heard of them but, thoughr you had to be LDS to shop with them. I knownthey are really into prepping. I've learned quite a lot about them in the past 6 months or so.
A lot of great information. Thanks. Oh new subscriber
There’s one near me. Hours are limited, but I’m planning a trip. Prices have gone up significantly but still a great deal.
I have wanted to go for years, but they're too far away. Calling ahead is a great idea, especially if they're selling a lot, you can make sure they have what you need. I also recall reading on their site that they require an appointment.
Not all of them require an appointment. Only some.
Check out the Amish stores also.
Yes, going in person is ideal. However if you order online shipping is only $3 regardless if you order 1 box or more.
You should call for an appointment first,
The stores and warehouse are empty. 2 days ago they were shipping for the first time in a long time today their already out again. Good luck
Oh ya, 1st !
I didn't know thete was a Costco near us.....
There isn’t. Visited some family and they took us to one.
@@therealpreparedhomestead I see
I didnt but recently found one. It is worth the trip.
Can you list resource for more info on grand solar minimum?
QUESTION ! how long will that can last once you open it ??
Depends on the product. Usually about a year.
Is there any in n.j ? How bout pa. ??
Will they take food stamps?
So, its a freeze dried Costco? Lol
hey what part of missouri do you live
Aren’t Christians not supposed to associate with those that are actively sending other people to hell? Aren’t we not to greet them, etc.? There has to be another way....
If we didn’t buy things from people that don’t believe like we do then we could never get anything.
Members of the LDS church are also Christian so rest assured you are conversing with fellow believers. Peace!
