I used to fall asleep to Patience for many years. It's an smacking song. Axl Rose has one of the best voices in rock history. He could definitely belt a tune. Love this song.
No the song is credited to Izzy and Axl. It was about his now ex-wife, Erin Everly. Izzy wrote 3 - 4 tracks before he left. The lyrics were absolutely written by Axl Rose about Erin Everly. Izzy must've come up with the Rhythm since he does get the Co writing props. Had to go check on this one because I had always heard it was written by Axl ... Peace to you and yours
GnR is probably my favourite band of all time. I saw them live in Houston, Texas back in 1992 and it was the best concert I have ever seen. Their entire catalog is superb.
You're very lucky because I wasn't around. Was kind of sad to me is Axl Rose's pipes or blown. I've seen a couple videos from the last two or three years and whose voice is just shot. He can't hit the notes he wants dead so you're very very fortunate. He stepped in with a CDC a couple or what years back and then just singing so much for so many years, apparently messed with his voice because of the raspiness he was pitching. Also read that Jon Bon Jovi's voice was shot when it comes to Livin on a Prayer. I haven't heard anything from those guys in the last couple years so I don't know if it's true he can't hit the notes on that truck anymore. So again, you're lucky within my head. Peace to you and yours and watch out for this crazy virus
Axl is up there in the lists of vocalists with the widest range, and then he can whistle like that, it just isn’t fair. My vote is easily “Paradise City”.
Damn you were vibin hard. Basically for as long as I remember if anyone asked me what my favorite song was I’d immediately say Patience. There’s just something special about this song.
If you want another ballet you have to check out dont cry, it’s the first song they ever made as a band, if you want the real hard rock Guns N’ Roses you have to check out paradise city!!!
The album\EP this was released on was a short 6 song mini album between their 1st and 3rd albums. It was filed with old songs except for "Patience". GnR lies was released to fill public demand. While the band dealt with various drug and alcohol issues that slowed new music coming out.
I have orders to have Paradise City played at my funeral lol. But if you want a great and underrated GnR song, check out Coma. I've watched several of your movie reactions and believe you would grasp the finer points of that song well. Also, the version of You're Crazy on the Lies EP is awesome.
i still to this day listen to anything between 1985-1996 then Axl bought the name kicked everybody out who disagreed with him after that Axl Rose lost his voice imo i can whistle so love to whistle along to this song
Hey, glad you liked that song. I think everybody will agree on the fact the ending part is just masterpiece and so pleasant to listen to. As you mentioned you'd like to listen to a live version, I suggest the Patience Live AMA, 1989 one. Very very good one, and fun little fact, the drummer Steven Adler was so smashed in cocaine that they replaced him in last minute by Don Fenley, famous singer and drummer of the band Eagles (Hotel California). Let us know if you listen to this version and what you think about it. P.S Of course if you want a real "live" and raw version I think the best option is their televised show in 92' during Use Your Illusion tour, like the one in Tokyo or the one in Paris, both legendary at this point. Cheers from France.
Axl only wrote the last lyrics. Starting with i been walking the streets at night. Izzy and I think Duff wrote the rest. This song started an acoustic music movement
I had tickets to Guns N' Roses and Smashing Pumpkins together last summer and good ol' Covid cancelled that. I'm glad I've seen them both in concert already
Don't cry is softer as well, not as much as this. Estranged would be a great one too, one of the best but not the one that ever plays on the radio...why I have no idea, one of my favorite songs.
I have an FYI for ya, probably pausing when talking is better. It sort of interrupts/deflects good parts of songs, and you might miss them. Even if you/we know the song, we are waiting or knowing what's coming next. I just watched your Casablanca, Great! but it's a little more, "talking, sound off, seeing things happen". Kind of a strange interruption haha. Oh, in Cold November" Slash was FFWD and interrupted. Just sharing some things the public sees, so keep going, you have a lot to see and hear...¶¶♫♪♪
Hii ash where are you from Please tell us and can you watch Michael Jackson music videos Please I am waiting for your reply LOL Stay Safe Stay Healthy 🤗❤💖

Outro by Axl.

@@choice12ozborne I heard in an interview Axl only wrote the outro. I think it was Duff that said that
One of my favorite songs from them. G&R is legendary. 🎸

i still to this day listen to anything between 1985-1996 then Axl bought the name kicked everybody out who disagreed with him after that Axl Rose lost his voice imo i can whistle so love to whistle along to this song
If you really want to check out the live version of this and another Amazing songs from Guns and Roses you have to get the Live Era CDs.
Dave Chappelle did the _"Axl Patience"_ dance at the end of the _"White People Can't Dance"_ skit with John Mayer on the _Chappelle Show,_ 2004.
Beautiful 😍❤️
Axl is truly one of the best !!

After you react to the highly suggested Paradise City, I recommend checking out the movie Can't Hardly Wait.
I would recommend Civil War to be one of your next GNR songs to react to!
Paradise City!! The ultimate rnr anthem!!
I didn't like you at first, but this reaction changed my opinion. New subscriber.

Ash have u heard The Smashing Pumpkins? Was wondering would you please react to their hits 'Disarm' and 'Cherub Rock'
I had tickets to Guns N' Roses and Smashing Pumpkins together last summer and good ol' Covid cancelled that. I'm glad I've seen them both in concert already
@@peppyd Dam, that would be one hell of a double bill
" Disarm " is disarming, heartbreaking, and beautiful.
6:44 So much for that cool phone. lol
Yeah I have no patience for impatient people!
Same 😅
You should check out Paradise City by these guys. Even if it's on your own or if you react oh, it's going to make you want to move
Estranged!
Do knocking on heavens door
You should try one in a million from the same EP as Patience the lyrics are controversial but the song is soooo good

AC/DC live at River plate
