Everyone in the band except Anderson is a regular in Bruno's band called The Hooligans
This song is pure gold!! The vocals, the dancing, the vibe, the harmonies and.....THE COMEDY!!!
They struck gold thinking up the band silk sonic. Everything about it is printing money. So these guys are so talented and fun
Another fun song by them is their BET/Soul Train performance of Fly as Me

Anderson.Paak is a drummer/front man for the Free Nationals. He opened for Bruno’s 24K magic tour for a good portion of the European part of the tour in 2017. That’s when they first started writing this song. Right before the pandemic hit they got back together (4 years after they started writing it) and finished it. They had so much fun working together they kept going back to the studio to write more. They brought in Bootsy Collins to narrate the album and Bootsy gave them (Bruno & Anderson) the name Silk Sonic and it stuck. The album An Evening with Silk Sonic has only 9 tracks but not a single skip (a song you skip over to hear the next good one) on it. Loved your genuine reaction. 💙
This is 70’s R’n’B love it!
The attention to every detail helps to put this right back to the 60s & 70s r&b. From the cheesy lights in the background, the bassline, the decor, right down to the brown velvet suits and the 70s portrait style shots toward the end. BTW, Chuck E. Cheese here in America is a pizza chain restaurant where families often throw birthday parties for their kids because it features a bunch of arcade games.
That cigarette flick is the icing on the cake as soon as I heard the opening lines I knew this was an instant classic

Believe it or not Bruno had the "smoking out the window" line for over 5 years He just couldn't let it go in comes Andy when they were opening for Bruno's 24 magic tour & then the heavens opened Bring these two together I truly believe the two coming together was just luck oh no from up high Silk Sonic was born. I loved to know how Bruno was able to keep on singing as Andy is laying flat out on the floor Priceless!

After watching Bruno do this 70's soul send-up, it makes it even more unbelievable to know that Motown signed him @ 18, when he first came LA from HI. They later released him from his contract, and told him to pick a genre of music & stick with it because they didn't know how to "market" his music. Berry Gordy would've NEVER been so foolish! They had the future of music in their grasp and were too myopic to see it. Everybody nowadays listens to multi-genres. Digital music makes it easy to listen and buy. 😯

This is the third video from the album they finally dropped a few weeks ago, you'll wanna see the other two and the live versions of the first one and this one.
But really, you should react to the entire album, preferably all at once cuz not only is every song genius, so is the sequence. It's short too, only 31 mins or so, would make a perfect show.
I swear (often) yer gonna love every moment of the Silk Sonic experience.

My favorite song on the album. It's so awesome. The old school Temptation like moves, the smooth awesome voices. But the humor! OMG! I love it so much. Great reaction. The very young reactors seem to miss most of the humor.

@@cms-pacnw3315 My dream Grammy scenario for Silk Sonic is for "Leave The Door Open" to win Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, and Best R&B Performance in 2022. For the 2023 Grammys "Smokin Out The Window," or another song from the album (maybe "Put On a Smile?), win the same four awards as LTDO. Then the album wins Album of the Year, Best R&B Album, and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. To top it off Bruno and D'Mile win Producer of The Year, Non-Classical. Might as well dream big!

If no one has explained it yet, Chuck E. Cheese is a franchise that serves pizza & stuff but also has a play are with bowling, and various games for kids to play and climb on so the parents can stay at the table and eat in peace and the kids are off climbing on everything in another area.
I like this version better than the live performance.
Chuck E. Cheese is a pizza place with a game room and a stage where these people dressed as animals perform its a place for little kids really. I would say 10 and under and 10 might be too old
