They are not ex-members of BTS. They're all still together but are doing solos at the moment until they all get back together after fulfilling their mandatory military services. And for the fans, they are not just teenagers. Majority of us are older and not from S Korea. They can hold a concert at a stadium and it will sell out. Went to a concert in Sofi Stadium in LA in 2021 and met people that came from Japan, Brazil, Costa Rica, Philippines, S Korea and other countries. This video is a homage to MJ which him and the members look up to. His dancers are all professional dancers/choreographers.

All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, choreographers recording studios or MV directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. This one, however, is an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary. The director is a very famous Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others. His self professed dream of being a giant pop star is clearly beginning in a big way! Kpop is an industry NOT a genre. Not all korean artist are from kpop . Jungkook is from the biggest group in the world from South Korea named BTS. They are huge in the US already and in the world. They do lost of genres mostly hip hop , r&b , pop , Latin pop etc

I always explain Kpop industry as I would "Hollywood" industry. Many different types of movies and people under the umbrella of 'Hollywood'. The same goes for Kpop industry.

Their influence is massive because of what they sing about, their interaction with fans and their personalities and hustle to get where they are. And they have Worldwide appeal, which is why they sell out stadiums in every country they go to, even selling out Wembley Stadium.

Hi, glad you liked the song. Unfortunately, your reaction is filled with prejudices. Actually, South-Korea with its 51milllion people only, would not be able to pull such huge numbers to make BTS the biggest group in the world. BTS has the biggest fanbase in the world which is extremely diverse in terms of demographics, and their supporters are mostly adults. To give you my example, I am a 35- year old, French Black woman. Then Jungkook is very manly in this video, with masculine clothes, powerful dancing and a manly attitude. I really do not see how you could say that he is androgynous, unless you have a problem with his Asian features. Regarding the choreography, some dancers were not always in tempo, but it is maybe due to the fact that it is a much more complex and difficult choreo than what Bruno Mars or other current entertainers propose. Jungkook literally is a professional dancer and his back-up dancers, here, are some of the best choreographers is the world (Brian Puspos, Jake Kodish etc.... ) The choreo fits the song which is a MJ homage and does not seem forced at all. Maybe, you are just not used to watch complex choreography in videos anymore.

Korean featured artists, etc. These are all completely American productions. Kpop is S. Korea's version or style of pop music. JK's music is not Kpop. Some of the songwriter/producers involved with his solo singles/album are Andrew Watt, Cirkut, John Bellion, David Stewart, Ed Sheeran (Sheeran also plays the guitar on the track), Shawn Mendes, and many more. I seriously doubt if any of these people or Latto, or Jack Harlow were creating Kpop songs.
Agreed, I don't think the choreographers were meant to be in sync. I liked that they added their own individual styling in some areas of the choreo, I notice it especially in their live performances. It's like ad libbing their part. Can't expect these teachers to do the exact same steps each and every time. They'd be so bored of the repetition. Rn they're experiencing some of the best moments of their career with JK.

Wow, I’m quite disappointed with the amount of prejudices that were thrown out during this video. I just don’t understand why Western men have such a problem with the looks and most of Asian men, especially South Korean men. When you guys say things like you were saying it screams to me on how insecure and jealous you are of these guys. I never knew that taking care of oneself, actually taking pride in how you look and how you present yourself to the world is inherently feminine. It just blows my mind. Unfortunately, American men are mostly the same way, if not worse. US men usually think that these guys are “gay” because they actually want to look nice and put together. Which leads me to my conclusion on Western men being jealous of these guys because they know that these guys can have pretty much any girl they’d ever want while looking “feminine,” “androgynous,” or even “gay.” By the way, I’m a 36 year old white woman and mother of 2 from the USA and I can assure that BTS and Jungkook are HUGE in the US. They are literally the biggest group on the world and possibly ever. They are often compared to the Beatles and MJ. My opinion on the Bruno Mars comment is of course you’d say “if it were Bruno…” because he’s black, right? There are a lot of better dancers than Bruno Mars, don’t get me wrong Bruno Mars is a fabulous dancer but he’s isn’t multifaceted. JK is a WAY better than Bruno could ever imagine. The choreography of Bruno Mars is literally nothing compared to BTS choreography. Plus you don’t see Bruno Mars doing his choreography live and/or singing live while doing it (or very often at least). This masterpiece was a homage to MJ. BTS pay homage to a lot of artists they admire and aren’t afraid to show it. I also find it quite hysterical that I’m watching two drinking couch potatoes criticizing and critiquing a world renowned singer and dancer. Please since you are such a great choreographer and dancer please upload a video of you doing this exact performance. Also, do it while singing live (since JK does that as well). I understand you’re entitled to your opinion BUT it was evident that you had your preconceived notions before even recording this video. It was so blatantly obvious it’s funny. If you aren’t going to really react to things with an open mind please don’t bother; it’s a waste of everyone’s time. Again, you are entitled to your opinions if they are actually your own genuine opinions but you already had your mind made up before even hitting record. Lastly, JK isn’t an ex-member of BTS; BTS are still together. All of the members have to do their mandatory military service for around 2 years or so. They all have slowly entered and it was announced that the last 4 (including JK) will be entering in the next month or so. All 7 will be back in 2025 and they will be unstoppable.

Jeonkook is not an ex-member of BTS. He is still part of the group and the group still exists. Mandatory military service in South Korea has forced them to be on a group hiatus but they have signed a new contract with their label that will begin in 2025 when they have all completed their service. Most members have created solo work during this time. Three members have already left for the service and the remaining four have begun there enlistment process and will be leaving in a few weeks. The "Haegeum guy" is AgustD/Suga. This is Jungkook, the main vocalist of BTS.

BTS's channel has more subscribers than the entirely of korea's population. Literally 51M in korea yet more than 80M subs in a behind the scene channel with only bts variety contents in it. Thanks for your reaction. With regard to the Choreo it was created so that each dancer "freestyled" at times during the dance routine. Therefore their body positions are different but in time and at the same time as the other dancers. At other times they are totally synchronised. Therefore you noticed what was intended to be noticed. One up for the Brits.

Not a subscriber but I Watch your content regularly. I understand that JK o BTS’ music is not everyone’s cup of tea but you still need to be respectful to the artist and to the people that come to your channel, the way you guys have responded to the comments are honestly so condescending and rude. P.S: it was so funny watching how hard you were trying not to like this 😅 but yeah, ignorance and prejudice won at the end.

A few things struck me during the reaction: 1. You have probably never traveled outside your own country, or have not traveled much. 2. You are not able to see beyond your own backyards. 3. As a dancer myself, oh my gosh, you are so wrong about the backup dancers and dancing in general, like the comment about Bruno Mars, and you clearly know nothing about dancing but want to contribute your two cents. 4. So in general you seem to like to express your opinion about things you don't know and don't want to learn first. 5. You like to be loud, even if it's wrong. So the whole reaction seems arrogant, ignorant and prejudiced. The good thing is, you can improve in all of these points 😉

i need y’all to react to ‘on’ kinetic manifesto by bts. it literally has elements of all the things you’ve mentioned you like about bts, the rapping and choreo is on point and i feel like you guys will really appreciate the vocals in this one too. it’s a choreography video but it’s shot very well. you have to remember that they debuted as a hip hop group and their dance leader, jhope, was part of an underground dance crew before joining bts. they’re professional dancers and always try to incorporate it into their music videos
On a serious note i can only speak for my self , because maybe brown boy can bus some moves .......but i could never dance like any of them i can only speak as an entitled fan of music and entertainment on a whole i respect the craft i really do. Hi guys, greetings from Brazil! As people told you, this is a tribute to MJ. BTS has done other references to him before, and MJ's whole family is a big supporter of them. They met Janet Jackson backstage a couple of times, she's a fan. Jungkook is a professional dancer, and together with JHope and Jimin, he's part of the dance line of BTS (all of them dance tho). Jungkook studied dance in the USA when he was around 14. JHope used to be a street dancer, he was part of a dance crew and won several competitions. Jimin is a specialist in contemporary dancing, he graduated from the Busan Academy of Arts as the top student. Kpop has some of the best dancers around, they train with the best tutors since they're really young and usually work with the best coreographers. BTS already worked with coreographers and dancers that also worked with Chris Brown and Bruno, as well as other artists. All of their songs have a "dance practice" video, which shows the choreography in details, it's very cool to see. It's unfair to judge their dancing skills based on one choreo only (even tho I think that the Standing Next to You choreo is top notch). And a fun fact about Jungkook: he is known for being hella talented at general. Artists that work with or meet him always talk about how impressive he is, including Charlie Puth, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Ariana Grande... Rolling Stone pointed him as one of the 200 greatest singers of all time. Koreans call him "the national treasure", and he has the nickname of "golden youngest" - since he's the youngest in BTS - then his first solo album (released in november) is called Golden. His album broke records, outselling The Beatles five times over. Hope you see more from him and the group in the future =)

I know this was 7 months ago, but I just found you now. Um, some of the most famous dancers of our time as his crew. Brian Puspos, Ian Eastwood, Nick Joseph. It is choreographed by Keone Madrid, who is a f$cking legend. So hard to do his choreo and JK makes it look easy. The remix is with Usher. And JK dances just as well, if not better. This is pure homage to MJ and 70's funk. And being a 56 year old ARMY, I can tell that Prince got all the women too. And if you are confused, check out his Calvin Klein ads. Abs for days. He is the definition of fit.

In kpop industry different genre of music released by Different Groups/solo artist. With Choreography or concept performance ( which is different from West) . But yes the structure of song "kpop formula" Is added in 80% kpop songs which makes them different in sound from Western music. And jungkook Recent Album Golden songs is not with kpop formula. But fully western pop/rnb /club / acoustic sounds. And even the music video concepts are not with kpop style. And the plus point is jungkook presence in the song. How added his own flavour in singing/performing.

They are not ex-members of BTS. They're all still together but are doing solos at the moment until they all get back together after fulfilling their mandatory military services. And for the fans, they are not just teenagers. Majority of us are older and not from S Korea. They can hold a concert at a stadium and it will sell out. Went to a concert in Sofi Stadium in LA in 2021 and met people that came from Japan, Brazil, Costa Rica, Philippines, S Korea and other countries. This video is a homage to MJ which him and the members look up to. His dancers are all professional dancers/choreographers.

71 year old BTS Army here. Guys, don't you know American Pop when you hear it? 😂 This song is retro "Funk". None of JK's solo releases have anything to do with Kpop other than JK is S. Korean. All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, choreographers recording studios or MV directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. This one, however, is an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary. The director is a very famous Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others.
His self professed dream of being a giant pop star is clearly beginning in a big way! BTW, there are now 3 live performances. iHeart Radio, Jimmy Fallon Show, The Today Show, and there is a KILLER Official Choreo Version and his KILLER live performance in Times Square in NYC.

Kpop is an industry NOT a genre. Not all korean artist are from kpop . Jungkook is from the biggest group in the world from South Korea named BTS. They are huge in the US already and in the world. They do lost of genres mostly hip hop , r&b , pop , Latin pop etc

Actually, South-Korea with its 51milllion people only, would not be able to pull such huge numbers to make BTS the biggest group in the world. BTS has the biggest fanbase in the world which is extremely diverse in terms of demographics, and their supporters are mostly adults. To give you my example, I am a 35- year old, French Black woman.
Then Jungkook is very manly in this video, with masculine clothes, powerful dancing and a manly attitude. I really do not see how you could say that he is androgynous, unless you have a problem with his Asian features.
Regarding the choreography, some dancers were not always in tempo, but it is maybe due to the fact that it is a much more complex and difficult choreo than what Bruno Mars or other current entertainers propose.
Jungkook literally is a professional dancer and his back-up dancers, here, are some of the best choreographers is the world (Brian Puspos, Jake Kodish etc.... )
The choreo fits the song which is a MJ homage and does not seem forced at all. Maybe, you are just not used to watch complex choreography in videos anymore.

@@drinkandtoke I repeat, JK's solo singles and album have nothing to do with Kpop. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, directors, choreographers, S. Korean MV filming locations, or S. Korean featured artists, etc. These are all completely American productions. Kpop is S. Korea's version or style of pop music.
JK's music is not Kpop. Some of the songwriter/producers involved with his solo singles/album are Andrew Watt, Cirkut, John Bellion, David Stewart, Ed Sheeran (Sheeran also plays the guitar on the track), Shawn Mendes, and many more. I seriously doubt if any of these people or Latto, or Jack Harlow were creating Kpop songs.
Agreed, I don't think the choreographers were meant to be in sync. I liked that they added their own individual styling in some areas of the choreo, I notice it especially in their live performances. It's like ad libbing their part. Can't expect these teachers to do the exact same steps each and every time. They'd be so bored of the repetition. Wow, I’m quite disappointed with the amount of prejudices that were thrown out during this video. I just don’t understand why Western men have such a problem with the looks and most of Asian men, especially South Korean men. When you guys say things like you were saying it screams to me on how insecure and jealous you are of these guys. I never knew that taking care of oneself, actually taking pride in how you look and how you present yourself to the world is inherently feminine. It just blows my mind. Unfortunately, American men are mostly the same way, if not worse. US men usually think that these guys are “gay” because they actually want to look nice and put together. Which leads me to my conclusion on Western men being jealous of these guys because they know that these guys can have pretty much any girl they’d ever want while looking “feminine,” “androgynous,” or even “gay.”
By the way, I’m a 36 year old white woman and mother of 2 from the USA and I can assure that BTS and Jungkook are HUGE in the US. They are literally the biggest group on the world and possibly ever. They are often compared to the Beatles and MJ. My opinion on the Bruno Mars comment is of course you’d say “if it were Bruno…” because he’s black, right? There are a lot of better dancers than Bruno Mars, don’t get me wrong Bruno Mars is a fabulous dancer but he’s isn’t multifaceted. JK is a WAY better than Bruno could ever imagine. The choreography of Bruno Mars is literally nothing compared to BTS choreography. Plus you don’t see Bruno Mars doing his choreography live and/or singing live while doing it (or very often at least). This masterpiece was a homage to MJ. BTS pay homage to a lot of artists they admire and aren’t afraid to show it. I also find it quite hysterical that I’m watching two drinking couch potatoes criticizing and critiquing a world renowned singer and dancer. Please since you are such a great choreographer and dancer please upload a video of you doing this exact performance. Also, do it while singing live (since JK does that as well). I understand you’re entitled to your opinion BUT it was evident that you had your preconceived notions before even recording this video. It was so blatantly obvious it’s funny. If you aren’t going to really react to things with an open mind please don’t bother; it’s a waste of everyone’s time. Again, you are entitled to your opinions if they are actually your own genuine opinions but you already had your mind made up before even hitting record. Lastly, JK isn’t an ex-member of BTS; BTS are still together. All of the members have to do their mandatory military service for around 2 years or so. They all have slowly entered and it was announced that the last 4 (including JK) will be entering in the next month or so. All 7 will be back in 2025 and they will be unstoppable.

Jeonkook is not an ex-member of BTS. He is still part of the group and the group still exists. Mandatory military service in South Korea has forced them to be on a group hiatus but they have signed a new contract with their label that will begin in 2025 when they have all completed their service. Most members have created solo work during this time. Three members have already left for the service and the remaining four have begun there enlistment process and will be leaving in a few weeks.
The "Haegeum guy" is AgustD/Suga. This is Jungkook, the main vocalist of BTS.
All of his backup dancers in this video are world-renowned professional dancers and choreographers. They know what they're doing. They are the best of the best and are sought after for many artist videos and performances.

All men 18-30yrs are required to do a minimum of 18mos in the military. After all South Korea is still at war. Second they have more fans in the west than Asia. I am 54, and BTS is my favorite group. You were already judging before the song started and showing your ignorance. You know the backup dancers are world-famous choreographers and dancers, but you obviously know more about dancing, lol. Also, you said X member of BTS they are still a group. They are working on solo projects while some started their military service. The rest will all be in by the end of the year. They won't be back as a group until the end of 2025. Thanks for your reaction. With regard to the Choreo it was created so that each dancer "freestyled" at times during the dance routine. Therefore their body positions are different but in time and at the same time as the other dancers. At other times they are totally synchronised. Therefore you noticed what was intended to be noticed. One up for the Brits.

i need y’all to react to ‘on’ kinetic manifesto by bts. it literally has elements of all the things you’ve mentioned you like about bts, the rapping and choreo is on point and i feel like you guys will really appreciate the vocals in this one too. it’s a choreography video but it’s shot very well. you have to remember that they debuted as a hip hop group and their dance leader, jhope, was part of an underground dance crew before joining bts. they’re professional dancers and always try to incorporate it into their music videos
On a serious note i can only speak for my self , because maybe brown boy can bus some moves .......but i could never dance like any of them i can only speak as an entitled fan of music and entertainment on a whole i respect the craft i really do. As people told you, this is a tribute to MJ. BTS has done other references to him before, and MJ's whole family is a big supporter of them. They met Janet Jackson backstage a couple of times, she's a fan.
Jungkook is a professional dancer, and together with JHope and Jimin, he's part of the dance line of BTS (all of them dance tho). Jungkook studied dance in the USA when he was around 14. JHope used to be a street dancer, he was part of a dance crew and won several competitions. Jimin is a specialist in contemporary dancing, he graduated from the Busan Academy of Arts as the top student. Kpop has some of the best dancers around, they train with the best tutors since they're really young and usually work with the best coreographers. BTS already worked with coreographers and dancers that also worked with Chris Brown and Bruno, as well as other artists. All of their songs have a "dance practice" video, which shows the choreography in details, it's very cool to see. It's unfair to judge their dancing skills based on one choreo only (even tho I think that the Standing Next to You choreo is top notch).
And a fun fact about Jungkook: he is known for being hella talented at general. Artists that work with or meet him always talk about how impressive he is, including Charlie Puth, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Ariana Grande... Rolling Stone pointed him as one of the 200 greatest singers of all time. Koreans call him "the national treasure", and he has the nickname of "golden youngest" - since he's the youngest in BTS - then his first solo album (released in november) is called Golden. His album broke records, outselling The Beatles five times over.

Um, some of the most famous dancers of our time as his crew. Brian Puspos, Ian Eastwood, Nick Joseph. It is choreographed by Keone Madrid, who is a f$cking legend. So hard to do his choreo and JK makes it look easy. The remix is with Usher. And JK dances just as well, if not better.

But yes the structure of song "kpop formula" Is added in 80% kpop songs which makes them different in sound from Western music.
And jungkook Recent Album Golden songs is not with kpop formula. But fully western pop/rnb /club / acoustic sounds.
And even the music video concepts are not with kpop style.
And the plus point is jungkook presence in the song. How added his own flavour in singing/performing.

The entire video is based on the Romeo and Juliet movie of the 90s… the song is about sticking with the person you love through anything.. and that nobody will keep you apart … pretty standard and easy to understand love trope… you’d have to be listening to the lyrics maybe to connect the two ?
