Honestly they couldve messed up Jordan so easily but damn those two actors killed it. Each time Jordan would turn from a man to a woman it never felt like a new character
Pretty cool thing I noticed when Jordan confronts Marie, they grab her wrist in their female form (aggressive) and switch to their male form (defensive) to show they don’t mean harm and are sincere in asking Marie to tell the truth.
I love Marie in this show every decision she makes is understandable and makes sense. It wouldn’t have made sense at this point in the story to want help any of these people.
Fr I actually love that, usually in shows characters will just be willing to risk their lives to help people they just met immediately which makes no sense. Marie not wanting to be involved in their issues is very realistic considering she knows absolutely nothing about these people
I actually disliked Marie throughout the show for how hypocritical she came off. Its not bad character writing I think, just a choice to make her that way.
I agree apart from the Jordan situation. Doesn't really take much to give someone the credit they deserve and it's not like shes risking anything if she does tell them that Jordan helped. Other than that Marie is 100% valid.

Even though Andre n the others didn't know at first, it won't be the last n it'll be something they would come to get used n not worry about about consequences cuz their parents, managers and/or PR team would cover for their asses.
It really does feel like The Boys, but one thing that took me by surprise is how the main characters are mostly good people. When I watched the first episode I though, oh, Luke's gonna be an asshole jock, Cate's gonna be the evil manipulator, Jordan will do anything to get revenge, and so on. But nope, already in episode 2 they show you that they're really not bad. It somehow feels less cynical than The Boys, despite being just as crude.
I think by “pushing” Kate means giving more complex commands to a person she’s controlling. She’s smart to try and reserve her strength with the short final command, let the soldier she had already mind controlled do the talking and all she had to say was, “do it” to get the second.
I think her power is just called pushing. Like when you push someone to do something Alison in Umbrella Academy said she "rumored" people but it's just mind control. Pushing is another clever way to say mind control without mind control
If you hypnotize someone you can not get them to self harm or go past their normal behavior. So when she pushes someone with her mind she has to overcome their own self harm and moral stops. The more she pushes someone past their limits it probably puts more strain on her body to achieve what she tells them. The bouncer in the first episode didnt take much because he would normally let people in so it didnt require much effort from her as we saw, unlike the two soldiers which put her into the seizure.

Nah 8-10 episodes is perfect, keeps the writers from dragging out the seasons main conflict too much, keeps filler out etc. I'd personally like 10 just so you can get more down time with the characters. My two favorite scenes from GenV were when Jordan was talking to their parents and kept changing gender to make their parents uncomfortable. And when Kate is talking to the Headmaster and realizes that she does love her but that it doesn't matter enough.
i wouldn't say experience is the issue, at the moment get used to the powers they simply rely on what is easier. Homelander got his face stuffed with Soldier boys fists because he's used to one punching and lasering, and even he had to fight other supes he fights like a normal person who never fought before and relying only on his strenght

Do you not remember that Jordan SAID run? They knew Marie was in danger, and removing her from the situation meant they could concentrate on trying to stop Luke. While neither of these two are bad kids, they did start off on the wrong foot with the "Intro to Crime" class thing, and Jordan was the one who managed to motivate the gang to get out of the club post Andre's accident - but Marie was left behind. I totally understand why Jordan deserves the credit for what they did (and why Vought won't allow it), but I also understand why Marie decides to look out for herself (especially when they drop her sister back into the mix to up the manipulation factor). I'm fairly certain that our big bads in all this are going to be the adults running things, not the late teens playing with their powers. They're just kids learning to be adults in The Boys world - none of them are pure evil... yet...
