I don't drive a truck.
I don't even drive a car.
But somehow Volvo has impressed me enough with their videos that if someone asked I would probably recommend one of their trucks.
That’s what advertising and marketing works
Worth mentioning that MACK, Renault and UD trucks are also all Volvo (for more budget friendly recommendations).
Volvo trucks just seem so much better put together than other few trucks I've driven in the states

It's very impressive, seeing a truck haul that much weight.
We're still a long way before a working road train of that magnitude, but this is a start.
Not going to happen doesn't even make sense. Railway simply is far more efficient. It's more likely we will get swarm like behavior with self driving deliveries that can go on both road and maglev.

Dont worry, that engine(modified) ran 2400hp and 4425 ft-lb through a stock i shift gearbox
imagine how much torque is required to do this. the amount of stress on the transmission must be insane, hats off to volvo engineering.

I've had the opportunity to drive the FH13 440 6x2 hooked to two tanker trailers loaded with Diesel fuel, gross weight 57 tonnes on flat and mountainous terrain in Southern Brazil and the performance was great. I couldn't possibly describe the level of joy to hear and feel 750 horses on a big FH17.

IMO, the driveshaft wanted to suicide even more...
The engine is probably one of the least solicited parts in all of this, it's basically just revving at its max torque RPM for several seconds, nothing spectacular honestly. The transmission is much more solicited
Not really that impressive for engine. More impressive for transmission. There is a football stadium in America that moves over 8 thousand tones of dirt with a bunch of tiny 1hp motors.

This is actually awesome! This shows how well made these trucks are if this is a straight from the factory truck. That was a huge load for the gearbox and the shaft to pull that much weight and it seems like nothing broke !

Theres a difference between stock and not stock. This thing is stock, but imagine it being custom? I bet it'd be able to, as long as the trailers themselves hold, drag over 1500 tons!
