I honestly feel kind of bad for Lauren? She was a teen who was super in love with her longtime best friend (who messed her around and never actually wanted her as a girlfriend) on national television. It just reminds me of the dumb, embarrassing stuff we all probably did as teens for and with the people we had crushes on. I didn't like Lauren and Jason together, but I was so glad she moved on from Stephen in the second season and seemed to have more agency.
I adore Lauren, but I also adore when people speak their minds, so what if we do not agree Timmy. Timmy always be yourself you are so inteligent and funny and none of what you say is mean spirited, You are just funny and carefree.

Watching these episodes for the first time, I just realized that Lauren and Lo really grew up rich. I think Kristin was upper-middle class, but Lauren was definitely wealthy.
This entire community was hella rich. Kristin and Lauren’s dads both worked for the same architecture firm so they were definitely around the same tax bracket that’s for sure.

Also, I feel like Kristin just had the phone in her hand for something to hold, then the limo driver was like, um yes? Then she laughed and hung it up. LOL! (That's what I think happened anyway.)
I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and prom at my high school was so much fun! Asking someone to prom was not a big thing at my high school, and most people went to prom with their friends or their boyfriend/girlfriend. I took my best friend from a different high school, since myself and our other best friend went to the same high school and we all wanted to experience prom together. We, too, got a bunch of people together and rented a white Hummer limo to bring us to the venue and later back home. We had sooo much fun, and then had our after party on a party boat on the East River overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Such a fun and amazing night!
Fun fact: Lauren was last to be cast and wasn't supposed to be on the show at all! She had always been considered a loner. MTV only included Lauren after learning she was actively trying to get with Kristin's boyfriend. Kristin & her friends (Alex, Jessica, Christina, Morgan, Stephen, Dieter, Trey, Talan, etc) were all first to be cast. Lo was added so Lauren would have a real life friend. Lauren & Lo were almost not on the show at all, but they had Lauren narrate the first season to humanize her, as the first storyline was to focus on Lauren vs Kristin with Stephen. Imagine having millions of dollars and getting your own show all because when you were a young adult, your entire mission was to get with some 17-year-old's boyfriend! That is crazy to me. Lauren owes Kristin an apology letter and a basket of muffins for her career!!!

I thought the same thing! Lol Grew up in Los Angeles and we also wore floor length gowns to prom. I think maybe because the Laguna girls were more interested in wearing a designer dress and they opted for simple dresses. I remember they made fun of Casey’s long dress in S2.

There's so much weird like pressure and expectations on prom that you grow up with. I had a terrible time both years because I had such high expectations. If I could go back I would approach it completely differently and just not GAF and have fun with my friends

Tim not getting Trey’s name right for most of the episodes makes me laugh. Also can we talk about how dieter has his eyebrows done , they’re kind of weirdly shaped. He doesn’t have his eyebrows done in season 2
I saw that Lo once said that the white bandage on her leg was due to her sitting down on an espoused pipe in a sauna. So she had to cover up the burn like that.

First off, LOVE YOU GUYS and these reaction videos. Makes my day whenever a new one comes out. Buuut as both a Lauren and Kristin fan, I do find that you guys are a little mean about/hard on Lauren. Sometimes I get when she says stuff that is laughable or a bit serious, but I also have a lot of sympathy on Lauren as a heart broken teen who was in love with a guy who didn't love her back, so she deserves some love too! But maybe I am too biased haha, love you guys and thanks for reacting to my fave most nostalgic show xx

There's so much weird like pressure and expectations on prom that you grow up with. I had a terrible time both years because I had such high expectations. If I could go back I would approach it completely differently and just not GAF and have fun with my friends
