I bought a F80 M3 in April after my e46 was wrecked. On my e46 I was doing 99.9% of all maintenance. After my warranty runs out on the M3 I'll be doing the same. Thanks for the content as there isn't that much F80 DIY's out yet. You are leading the pack!
Hell yeah! Never took mine to dealer when I had warranty on mine, so far I’ve done sparks, Charge pipes, charge cooler, oil changes, lowering springs, spacers, spoiler, EL midpipe, tips, and splitters. There’s prob a few other more minor things lol, DIY life
Great video, I think I figured out to take the grommet out of air box and install it then place airbox back since the grommet is sitting on top of the spot it’s supposed to be in and causing the box to sit higher and rub on the carbon strut bar. Also, I’d say to take both charge pipes off first and install the rear one first instead of the way you did it, just a little more room that way
Just changed my spark plugs and broke the little piece on the charge pipe part where he said “take it off carefully or it will snap” 😂 chargepipe still works.. but I guess it’s an excuse to upgrade it LMAO
Which specific E10 socket did you use to tighten the ER chargepipe to the turbo? I have trouble clearing the increased diameter of the ER pipe with my E10 sockets. It won’t allow a secure fit to the stock E10 bolt without hitting the chargepipe. Thanks
Hey is the turbo system closed loop without turbine exposed to the air? Reason I ask Is i stupidly dropped a 10mm socket into the engine and its sitting on the bottom tray and i cannot get to it..
Hey on the vrsf charge pipes it comes with (2) Allen key bolt and nuts. I have no idea what its for. Also, after installing the stock e10 bolts, I got them back into the groove, but my socket wont fit over them properly to tight as the charge pipe comes in the way. Any ideas?
Since the aftermarket one is bigger, do you have a clearance issue between stock air intake and the new charge pipe? I've mine upgraded and the charge pipe is slightly touching the stock air intake and I wonder it it will damage the stock intake? Thanks!
Crazy question: My M3 was pre-owned, and I removed OEM charge pipes and realized that they are missing the O-Rings. Anybody know the size of the O-Rings for aftermarket purchase?
Thanks for the help! Both of my VRSF pipes have big lips above where the e10 bolt is seated and I’m having trouble lining everything up with the turbos. I tried your method of pulling up and sliding the bolt in for the front turbo and that seemed to work. However, I’m having an even harder time with the back turbo and clearing the lip with the e10. Any suggestions?
I just did a stage 1 bootmod3 tune to my 15 m4, yesterday I heard the air leaking, and I got the codes but I'm not sure where to look. Any suggestions?
i installed the charge pipes on my 2018 M4. they are in and all seems tight and fitting. i test drove it and under boost i hear whine sound. is this normal? almost sounds like a super charger. but not as pronounced as a true SC. any feedback on this would be great, thanks !

Use the bolts the VRSF pipes came with, they don’t have the lip
does it make turbo spool louder
Awesome vid!!!What brand are the charge pipes?
Did you install boost pipes too Brian?
Will that charger pipe fit f30s models? Or just Mseries🤔🤔🤤
That’s only on Ms with S55. Yours is single turbo so it’ll just be one pipe, little more tricky install than this. Did it on my friends 435i
Does this need a tune?
Does the chargepipe hit the passenger side stock intake ?
are you planning on making mods for the g20 bmw series soon or in the future?

You could take the charge pipes off for inspection and make sure that’s where the boost leak is or eliminate them

Shnel M4 i had the same issue, i realized i forgot to put the O-ring in the new charge pipes
Yeah that sounds like a boost leak, double check your install. Also check the bung holes that some pipes have to make sure they’re not open
Can you do a downpipe installation video please
May have that coming soon..
@@KiesMotorsports woooo :)
WOULD IT FIT WITH THE AIR INTAKE ?
God, how many times have you guys had to perform the same steps over and over on this one car to make all these videos? :)
Lol, I think we had to remove and reinstall the brace 6 times..
@@KiesMotorsports on the N55 it's the IC to TB charge pipe that is the weak link, is that not the case on the S55?
@@KiesMotorsports arent those bolts the aluminum stretch bolts, with one time use?
Hey I am from Saudia Arabia
And I like your video a lot
I would ask you to make video about how to instal nitrous on BMW m3/m4
What's the torque spec for the charge pipe?
7 ft/lbs
First one ☝️ ❤️
Too bad none of these intake mods aren't legal in Kommiefornya.
