You can't build main-eventers unless they can beat midcarders to rise above the pack, and without jobbers to eat the pins you have no midcard. And Peter Avalon is good at his job.
The Librarians are growing on me especially after they started their own investigation skits. Peter and Leva finally found their niche and they are taking the ball and running with it.
My god, have the Librarians managed to actually _get over_ (even ironically?). Considering the gimmick stemmed from Dave Meltzer saying that the only gimmick that could never get over in wrestling was a wrestling librarian and the Elite going "challenge accepted", and that the general idea was that the gimmick was intentionally bad, have they actually gotten the last laugh? Actually, I just worked out the brilliance of the Librarian gimmick- if they get boos, they're doing their job. But if they get dead silence, AEW can just say the crowd is getting behind their "Shhhhhh!" gimmick. It's like when Paul Heyman gave one of his guys in ECW the name "Danny Doring" so that when the crowd was chanting "Boring!" he could pretend they were chanting for him instead. Doesn't seem to be necessary, though, as they're getting pretty good heel heat.
I haven't had the pleasure of seeing much of Colt since the earlier ROH days, but wow, that WoS-Johnny-Saint-style he's got going on is pretty awesome, and he's really good at it.

I just started watching Colt Cabana today after going down a CM Punk rabbit hole for about 2 hours lol. I have to say that the comedy heavy, gimmicky, everyone knows this is choreographed style is absolutely not my favorite. It actually may be my least favorite thing to see in a wrestling ring now that I think about it lol, but....Colt actually pulls it off. He is seriously talented, i don't think anyone else does it as well. Id still rather have the Stone Cold, serious, im pissed, an ass whippin is coming presentation any day but in my eyes Colt has proven that when done correctly there is a place on the card for this type of match. Touchè sir. 👍👍
