Thank you for the video! Had mine installed in no time! Only mistake I made, I got in a rush and didn’t put the second ones adjustment plastic piece in. Had to pull the new fog light back out to get that piece in. Got in a rush and paid with a little time.
This installation doesn't require a degree in rocket science, but it's not intuitive. Other videos talk about quick and easy install but fall short on the difficulty of removing the the lights. This video illustrates the steps that help with this quick, easy replacement. Loosening the panel behind the lights should be a big help and using the trim tool from the front helps with the outside tab that's practically inaccessible. Thanks for posting this helpful video.
I installed these on my last truck and wasn’t as easy as the 2nd time with this video.. thanks
I found the plastic pry bar to be a critical tool for the to work. Thanks for the tutorial.
Absolutely! Glad it was helpful.
Thank you for the Video.
I purchased new lights to replace my factory LED fogs that stopped working.
I live in New York.
And my factory LED fogs were so corroded that it took me about 4 hours to do the swap.
The factory LED plug connectors were so bad I had to use a dremel to cut away the old housing to get to the plug.
I am happy with the swap, but be warned if you live in a state that uses salt on the roads in the winter, you might be in for some work to get it done.
Thanks for sharing this! Good insight!
Great job,
I would love to put them in my truck , but I’m 70 and broke my neck and back , so I can’t even do the easy jobs . I’m subscribing #13
Saw your video when I went to change out my fog lights. Using the upholstery removal tool was a good idea. Struggled with first one but the second popped right out. Thanks for sharing, it really helped me!
Glad too hear it! And I also appreciate the comment/feedback!
I had previously taken off the extra front plastic piece/wind diffuser thing, so I was able to just do everything from the bottom. This helped out a lot! Thanks!
Glad it helped and appreciate the feedback. Hope you consider subbing. More vids on the way.
Let me tell you… If I would’ve tried this without watching this video, easily would’ve taken me all dam day. Appreciate you for this one. Definitely hitting the subscribe button for you.
Thanks for the comment and glad the video helped. Appreciate the sub! Thx!
This was AMAZING. Even worked for Diode Dynamics SS3’s.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!
how do you like the diode dynamics ??
Great instruction hehe can’t wait to get my xb head light 2gen and fog so I can install them. Thanks for the demo video
Thanks so much for making this video. It was the best one I can find and helped save me a ton of time. The first light took me a solid hour. I couldn't seem to pry the light out easily; it kept feeling like I was going to break something, but you really do need to apply some force to pop them out. Then I reversed the Morimoto wires by mistake :(. However, I got the second light installed in like 10 minutes. Thanks again man!
One thing I did additional was, the Morimoto wires are a good amount longer than the stock ones. I didn't like the feeling of that extra wire flapping around down there so I zip tied them to the truck
I’ll order mine today thanks bud good info
Glad it helped! check back after you've installed them to let us know how it went.
Thanks sir!
Thanks, this will help
New Sub here man! Nice video Kevin.
Great job 👍🏼
That was awesome man. Thanks.
Appreciate the comment!
What happened? Did you sell the truck? I was looking for your headlight and grill installs.
@@charlespartridge3128 I actually filmed it, but took longer than I thought and it got dark. I need to pull the footage to see If I can at least salvage the tear down since install is just the reverse. Thanks for the comment. I will work on this!
@@charlespartridge3128 I meant to add that I still have the truck.
Great video thanks, own the same head lights. Xmas getting the fog one . Thanks for doing the video. Guess I should ask we’re did you buy your fog lights? Thanks
Thanks for the comment. I got the fog lights at 4x4truckleds.com
Thanks for the video. Made it a breeze! Installed yesterday. How are your morimoto headlights holding up? Hoping to have those as my next upgrade.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve been very happy with my lights and am fortunate to not have any issues. I also have a video I’m editing for the install of the grille and lights. Hoping to have that done in the near future.
Do you have any comparison videos for the fog lights and headlights between them and the halogen from drivers view??
I honestly can't remember if I took any footage with the old lights from the drivers view (I'll have to check my files, but I can tell you with certainty the amount of light produced on the new LEDs is amazing compared to the factory lights.
My gosh, wish I saw this laat weekend. That thing was a bitch to figure out. Other side went easy once I figured it out
AMAZING video. But i done goofed. I put the adapters on wrong (i think). Mine arrived with a black and a black with a white stripe (which I am assuming is red in yours) and I think I did it backwards into the adapter....but now I cant get the adapter off to switch the wires, any advice??? Thank you
Is it already installed, or did you catch it before putting it back together. Based on the way it goes together, I would think the metal inserts could be pulled out again. I haven’t tried that, but it seems possible. Another option might be to cut the wires and then flip them to wire them up? Seems like a viable option if it doesn’t come apart easily. (And you won’t mess up the metal inserts). Hope that is helpful.
I did the same thing and tried to get the wires out of the adapter but couldn't without risking bending the metal inserts. I ended up just turning the plug from the truck upside down for now because I was getting frustrated. Definitely going to try and figure it out the right way next weekend though. Did you ever figure this out?
Thanks brother for the video! Anytime somebody takes the time to help me install something by posting a video will always get one second subscribe button push from me! I know it probably took you a while to film it get in the right angles and also upload it so I greatly appreciate it!
Glad it helped and definitely appreciate the sub!
Where did you get the Grill? Can you post a link?
Sorry for the slow response. I couldn’t find it on Amazon any longer, but I hopped onto Ebay and it looks like they have the same one. Just be sure to double check year/make/modle www.ebay.com/itm/For-2018-2020-Ford-F150-Raptor-Style-Conversion-Front-Hood-Grille-W-LED-Grill/363318579615?fits=Year%3A2018%7CModel%3AF-150%7CSubmodel%3ARaptor&hash=item549779919f:g:RoMAAOSwuwdgSUSy
What about your headlights ???
I have a video for that that I need to finish editing. I appreciate the ask. It will push me to get it completed!

👍 Great
Great vid. Question...I have a 2019 F150 Lariat with a FACTORY LED fog light. I haven’t crawled under the truck to look, but I’m hoping the factory wiring harness will work with the Morimoto LED fog light. Does anyone know if that’s the case? (sorry, just haven’t had a chance to look yet). Thank you.
Double check, but I think this link is what you’re chasing. Plus use AutoVlog for a discount(hope the code still works) : www.4x4truckleds.com/morimoto-xb-led-fog-lights-for-2015-ford-f-150-2017-ford-super-duty/.
Meant to say It should work.
My old fog lights didn’t have the adjustable screw and my new fog lights didn’t come with the screw either, where could I find this screw
What year is your truck?
What I meant to say was, it used to have the screw but it somehow went missing haha so I’m trying to buy so more of the adjustable screws but I don’t know where I could purchase them haha my trucks a 2017 so it used to have the adjustable screws
@@tehcnomusic101 LOL. That's makes sense now. I tried looking for a the size of the screw and came across these Universal screws. amzn.to/3dRZzqZ I'm not sure if these will fit, but it might be worth calling a local parts store to see if they hav the screw and/or a spring. I noticed these don't have the springs like the OE fog lights. Plus, based on the screw it looks like it's a different thread with a different head to. (Almost like something you could get at Lowes/Home Depot. Hope this helps some.
Where did you get that front grille and did the letters come grey cuz I love it
I got mine from Ebay, because the ones on Amazon were out of stock at the time. I think this might be the same one: amzn.to/3iIT6xf
Link for trim removal tools ???
Just added it to the description of the video. Nice catch!

Thanks!!
Do you have any problems with your morimoto headlights? Do they hum when you put on your high beams? I had to return mine as they hummed really loud and when i hit bumps the shutter would open causing the high beam to flash.
Thanks for sharing this. I have not had any issues with mine so far. We’re they humming so loud you could actually hear it in the cabin? That’s crazy.
@@thekevincornell yes, Morimoto said they have a problem with the GEN 2 i put them on my 2019 F150. They looked great but nonetheless morimoto is aware of the manufacture problem and searching for a fix
Mine didn’t come with a red and black wire. It came with a solid black and black with a white line. I ordered mine of American trucks but on the box it says for a 17-19 F-250. I have a 2020 F-150. I called them and they said it’s universal. Any ideas?
I also have resistors installed because I was running a led in the stick light. Do I have to remove the resistor to run the Morimoto or should it not matter? Thanks
I missed this the other day. Honestly, I'm not sure. I'm hoping someone may see your comment and have good insight to support you.
@@thekevincornell all good I got it to work. Thanks for the reply though I appreciate it
Most likely the solid black wire would be your ground and would go on the right side and the black wire with white stripe would be like the red wire in his video and would be on the left
