I struggle so much with this in my 4 month old mini bull terrier puppy. I’ve tried correcting the biting, but it’s like he’ll just bite even more then. Sometimes he seems completely frenzied and only wants to bite. If I try to redirect him to a toy, he’ll still try to bite my hand or arm. I know, I’m doing something wrong, but I’m not sure what.
I too have a 4 month old pup who would get excited and bite few things we’ve been doing that has now almost completely stopped the behaviour is a sharp quick noise like a shh when they bite followed with a hand signal that tell them stop or a gentle pat on the rear with the noise to tell them enough and wait for them to calm before going back in for a fuss another technique that may work is firmly holding the collar with eye contact until the pup submits and calms down would also recommend not going straight to the head for a fuss as this can be seen by the dog as quite dominating and they’ll react with excitement

Oh yeah..my white German shepherd was doing it, too. I communicated it to her like a dog would do: high pitched squeak everytime she was going to far. Worked Wonderful. But..my sister's Labrador was separated way too early from her mother and didn't understand "dog language" so it didn't worked. The opposite happend...Mila was furiously happy and biting like a tornado of teeth. She had to grow up before it could be stopped. These horrific breeders.. certified.. what a crap.
Pups learn by two things their litter mates yelping and their mom correcting. You're right about separating too young. I work at a shelter and have seen pups not listen to their siblings cry and their mom just comes over and pushes or scruffs them. Momma dogs are the best teachers.
My Pom chi bites when she plays. It’s more like she grabs. She bit me hard once playing and I said ouch and I scolded her a little, she never bit hard again. She does love to play.
I work at a shelter and we've gotten in big dogs that still thought it was ok to act like that. An American bulldog I was working with suddenly jumped up and grabbed my sleeve. I was still new to working with dogs at the time and did not know what to do. He would not let go and started shaking me (I was only 16 and 102 pounds and he was 80+pounds). Luckily another worker saw and got him to let go. He was not attacking me but he was way to strong to be doing that.

I'll never understand how people allow puppy biting to escalate.
Creator titles video, “How to” and proceeds to not explain how to.
How to do it???
I can confirm this helped.
Ahh, sarcasm, humour at it's sharpest.
@@boovaher I wasn’t being sarcastic. I watched the full video and it indeed helped, almost completely eliminating the problem of my Schipperke puppy biting while playing
@@VenGolub My apologies. After watching this vid I was aware that it at no time actually tells you what to do, only touts that the poster can do it. Can you link me the full vid please ?
I have puppy bites from a German Shepherd and I let it bite it anywhere on my body besides my nuts and my face and when it bites those parts I slap it and say no and over a year it stopped biting my face and nuts so I think it works
My puppy bites my 5 year old dog and rips his fur out of my 5 year old dogs neck how do I stop that? My puppy is 7 months now
Puppies learn how far to go through biting. By allowing it to go on your teaching it to continue
The thing is 80% of people are happy to let it continue because they don't think it's a problem, people have weird relationships with animals
It’s really not that many people and it’s not as big of a problem as you’d think. It’s not aggressive behavior as much as it is affectionate behavior.
@@Shauntheduke. they don't realise how powerful their bite is and when they get older and they bite you, you could end up in hospital.
So how to stop it?
But that mjolnir dog toy though ..
My puppy bites did all this thing he is not listening 😑 he is 6 months old can you make a video to show how to stop it
I dont think its normal for 6 month old puppies
Address. Address. You said a lot. Exactly how do you address it?
I just realize you have the face of a Kane Corso
You are the coolest person on RUclips
How to stop biting the hust says oh yeah, we did that
But what if I want to lose my fingers
Can't believe people pay this guy to do the obvious things they could fix themselves.
My Pom chi bites when she plays. It’s more like she grabs. She bit me hard once playing and I said ouch and I scolded her a little, she never bit hard again. She does love to play.
Try owning a Mali.... Just a pure biter.... Its her thing. She loves to chew the ones she loves 😂😂😂
Explain how
Omg my brain can’t comprehend that much of informations!! 😒😒😒
Mate, I assume it’s intentional but your shorts don’t teach us anything. Why not deliver some of the teaching methods and give us an insight of how good you are at it?
I am the only person that my puppy is biting and nipping... it stops when I want but still we play together since he has no siblings to play with.
How to stop puppy biting: just make it stop. Thanks. Really.
The title should be: How to upload videos without content, just my credentials.
I bite them back in the nose until they just stop
Sui. Hi
Every video you made doesnt tell us how to solve the problem its adressing.
Because it needs more than a one minute YT video. He's just showing that it's possible with some work
Adult dogs will put the puppy on its back, belly up, to end the behavior
Good tip, will try it !
Okay so how?! 🥴 We need help!
