No worries about starting a venture in your 50's..... we reinvent ourselves more than once. In my 70's, I've let go of the demanding French tailoring techniques I learned early on and now I love the process and most often the outcome. I do still stumble when doing what at one time would have seemed like "short cuts" that have now become the means to a beautiful end. These days, I rarely cut entire patterns from fabric, well except little clothes for my granddaughter, but rather give new life to multiple combined garments that become the picture in my mind, and often more! Whatever you do on this journey, be sure to enjoy the journey!
Oh! thank you for sharing your story! how interesting, how I would like to be sat next to you creating something beautiful. Thank you so much I am sure many people will appreciate your experience. ❤️❤️❤️
The turquoise dress is so pretty. Everything you do is very nice. I look forward to seeing your inventory. I'm size 6-8. You mentioned belt- you might could add waist ties at side seams to tie in back to fit additional sizes. Best wishes with it! You will do well.
Thank you lovely! yes, I was thinking I could do that so at least the same size can be worn by many different sizes, thank you for your lovely comment 😁❤️
You did great on the blue dress with the bottom ruffle really took it up another notch! The pink vintage material dress needs something to make it pop.
Hi,very proud of you, 🖐🏾🖐🏾 all I can help with is,everytime, your fabric is with reading words, just make sure the words to face upwards.further your creativity is top 🎩
Best of luck with your new business..it was only a matter of time…very warm in the Uk today..so have been sat near the fan,up cycling a blouse I made a few years ago..looks good with embroidery etc ❤
@@luzUpcycles I love the colors of that dress on you. It would be fun to see you incorporate the scraps of that into the purple fabric. They would definitely pop.
Thank you for sharing, again. I wish you every good vibe for your new venture, well done :) I could see your lovely Ankara fabric in a really trapeze style maxi dress (maybe I am too simple ?) Love your dress designs, all really lovely. I thought I saw a video in the past of your about not doing an Et$y shop as there are issues with the way they run it? Maybe it wasn't you. Anyway, you are far better launching out on your own! Sovereign all the way sister!! How will you structure sizing for your range, a size range or one size fits most?
That trapeze idea is good!, I didn't do a video about Etsy but I could have done!, yes better my own website for sure. About the sizes, I'm trying to figure everything out at the moment. Thank you lovely 😍
I am so glad you will be running your own upcycled clothing business, I am sure it will do very well. Your top and dress design is perfect, I love it and I love the fabrics you have.
You mean the pattern paper or the thicker one?, pattern paper from burda.com, the other one is the back of wall paper! 😂 I use whatever I have to hand ❤️😁
