The thing I love about Nate's fnaf songs is that when you listen to them there is no hint that it's a fnaf song, so you can end up finding different meanings or feelings in the songs.
I didn’t even know this was a FNaF song the first time I heard it, it was really shocking to me finding out it was as it could have easily been about something else. I can see how it’s FNaF now and honestly this song pulled me back into the franchise!

I’ve been listening to this song for over 5 years, and even to this day, I consider that single verse the most heartrending one of all the lyrics. Really makes you feel the kids’ desperation and pain. Definitely one of the best FNAF3 songs, if not of all FNAF’s

The lore is sad and disturbing and I still don’t know how I can express my appreciation to Scott and many of the fellow fans who made content like this. I found this song again after so many years and I’m crying. I’ve played almost all of the FNAF games (by Scott himself) long ago, and I wish I could experience those feeling again someday. FNAF hit me hard and when I was a young teen it helped me grow. Scott is a god and Nate is one of his angels. 💗

Making puzzles, secret messages, the springlocks idea, the concept of ennard, literally the whole entire lore can't be made by a normal person. This is the best FNaF song I’ve ever heard. Most of them focus on the gameplay, or the horror. This one focuses on the tragedy that kids feel, and how they’re just so eager to pass on while being condemned to entertain children using the animatronics they possess.
It is so hard to believe that this song came out two years ago.

This is why Nate is renound as much more than a video game artist. He makes songs about games, yes, but the way he makes them, you often wouldn't be able to tell the song is about a game if you aren't told that it is. His music reaches so many genres, so many audiences, and while I may not like a few of his songs, having that consistent reputuar no matter how much you change your style is amazing. Nate succeeds because he made it to where a niche was no longer a niche while succeeding without handling the niche topics as well. This is why so many love his music and just him as a person.

I feel like fnaf is more than just another indie horror game.
It’s supposed to connect people.
It’s supposed to help you defeat the nightmares that you have and show everyone who you truly are, inside and out.
It’s helped me come out of my shell.
It’s helped me obtain friends and get a personality that got me into theatre.

I remember first hearing this song, I was about 10 years old. I didn't know it was Nate singing, but I remember drawing and listening to it every day after school along with a bunch of other classic fnaf songs. My so-called friends claimed the games were too scary for me, but when I checked them out, I fell in love with the story. Here I am now, still listening to this beautiful song. Nate will never fade.

it can also be used in a manner that describes the crippling nightmares, and reoccurring memories of PTSD, "get me out of this mess" could be referring to the nightmares and the mess that the traumatic event caused, "get me away from the stress" could hint at the fact they can't deal with the stress in a healthy way, and "set me free so I can rest" can be a scream for help and them wanting to be free from the inner torment of their nightmares and struggles with PTSD.

NateWantsToBattle I personally love it when artists do this. It makes the lyrics have a much larger meaning to it, in my opinion. Unlike most fan-based songs and parodies which just simply talk about parts of the game. Like most Minecraft parodies. There is always the "we're going to find diamonds", etc, etc. Keep up the good work, Nate!

i'm not a FNaF fan, but i remember being in all the hype around every game that came out, hearing any song that was inspired by this indie game, and i gotta say they all are amazing, but this one just hits different. the lyrics and general vibe of it inmerses you into the lore, especifically into the whole trapped-children-souls plot. meanwhile the lyrics tell you about a desperate cry for help and melancholic hope for freedom, the instrumental let's you feel the impotence, stress and despair the children went through; or this is just the way i see it though.

well it does have an album. it's part of an album called Mangled (which you can buy on iTunes and Google Play) that includes songs about FNaF, Pokémon, Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, and Parasyte
