Their experiences are not isolated incidents, as resistance to ordinary antibiotics is rising.

antibiotics versus bugs - an ongoing battle and I remember the antibiotics I was involved with 35 years ago in various hospitals in England - they no longer work due to resistance - and this means that surgery from transplants to routine ops, and routine infections are no longer 'routine' - we need to up our game!

Great film on an important subject 👏👏👏
Huge congrats to Isabel, Pam & Katherine on this production!
Interesting, slightly scary but really important documentary
Was awesome to be a part of this!
In 2014 my son, Angel, died from hospital bourn infections Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Clostridium difficile. Angel was disabled since birth. He entered the hospital to have kidney stones removed. It was in the hospital that Angel became infected with both Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Clostridium difficile. Antibiotics did nothing. Angel died.
A stunning film, beautifully told. Congratulations to all of the team who have worked on this and featured in the story - I hope it contributes to the start of a powerful global conversation on the topic!

A hugely scary and almost overwhelming story, brilliantly told and, hopefully, a catalyst for accelerating the battle against antibiotic resistant bacteria. Congratulations and immense respect to all the participants, and huge thanks to BBC Storyworks for creating such a powerful wake-up call.

So cool! Love the Stokes Lab
Really eye opening, great film!
Good job BBC, bringing this issue more intense because it really is. The issue is getting tough, and has to be addressed by multi-sectoral party. Hand-in-hand we could solve this!

Such important and emotional stories, a really impactful film 👏
It was amazing to meet such brilliant interviewees while planning this project - they really brought the whole topic to life!
Ohkk. 😊😅
What an important topic and the way you laid out the story was absolutely captivating. Please keep making these important and impactful films!
Fascinating, moving, scary and uplifting - all at the same time!
I want to congratulate the team who has come up with this video. This is really essential that as being part of the pharmaceutical industry, we ourselves get the awareness and also educate people of the catastrophic outcome of the misuse of antibiotics. Also definitely making using of the phage and AI technology, can prove a boon to the patients who are fighting against the antibiotic resistant bacteria. Thank you for this video and please come up with more such awareness videos for the betterment of all.
Amazing🙌🏻
This is an incredibly important subject and told beautifully. Well done everyone involved.
Great doc. Really engaging exploration of the topic.

A fascinating and important watch!
What an amazing film! Who knew things were so desperate but that we have paths forward through this. It's actually given me hope for us yet!
How about exploring the use in the Soviet Union of viruses known as bacteriophage to combat resistant infections.

Always stay dependent on GOD for everything and grateful to Him for His blessings
God ? Lol, The universe is unfathomable, there is no god
Steven will soon see about the reality of God. 2024 will be very eye opening for those not already aware of what is really going on in the world, what the Bible says and God's modern day prophets are sharing.

অনেক কথাই বললেন শুনলাম।কাজ কিছুই হয়না।
Don't forget to add the thousands of adverse reactions that've killed millions of people and continue too
This film must be translated into every language in the world. It is unacceptable that this remains in English
Agree
Ну и на кой вы мне сдались Вам делать нечего???
Huh! Urban legend, right? That would not happen anywhere considered civilized! Nope! This is a very bad joke. Produce some new antibiotics!😱 Modern medicine - get busy!
Have we watched the same documentary? Because personally I understood why producing new antibiotics was extremely hard, as explained in the video. Maybe YOU should give it a try, see how it goes
