Just picked up a Q Revo during Prime Day sale. I feel like that is really good value for what you're getting. So excited to get this set up and running tomorrow. I really do appreciate Roborock for taking out the camera due to privacy concerns from customers. Thanks for the review!
Love your videos but one thing I am missing is a test for the robot’s ability to climb door thresholds. Is that something you could include? (Could just be a quick ”can climb thresholds of x height” mention in the video if you don’t want to spend too much time on it)
One week into ownership, the Q Revo is truly amazing. Are there more expensive models that might be a little better? Probably, but the Q Revo can hold it's own at a fraction of the price. We bought direct from Roborock for 680-10% military discount, total cost $612. Much to our surprise it successfully avoided a folded blanket we forgot to pick up, so while it's obstacle avoidance might not match models costing twice the price, it's fine if you pick up cords and such. On the plus side, it does not touch, bump, or markup walls or furniture. We even have Christmas decorations out that it successfully avoids. None of our previous Roombas or Deebots could do that. Q Revo for the win for us.

we picked up a Q7 recently due to its price and dustbin size. no need for the auto empty dock, as the hepa filter on the dustbin has to be cleaned as often as the dustbin is emptied (about once per week) and we are running it 6x a day (2x on MAX) for about 500 SF of carpet. definitely keeps the fur and dander down from our puppy, so we don't have to vacuum by hand every other day anymore.
I am truly a newbie at these robo vacs. When the dust is inside the larger bin, does it leak out? Is there a bag inside it? I'm just curious what am I breathing in? Thank you kindly.

I just bought my mom a $500 vacuum, it won’t connect to WiFi because roborock is still developing Stone Age products that can’t connect to anything but 2.4 ghz networks. Wtf. Can’t return, can’t use. Please add a disclaimer to future videos!
just tested the s8 pro ultra... mopping is mediocre at best. can't deal with anything that's not 100% fresh. vaacuming is fine. also my dock died instantly and apparently they use gigacheap and poor quality parts so.. it's your money. it also got stuck in the very first charging cable and the mop liftoff is only great if you have a very slim carpet - - and still gets it wet. weirdly it also kept pushing the dirt under the carpet something I never seen with others. on the bright side mapping was super fast. though the fast mapping doesn't allow any customizations yet and it only knows more less where carpets and stuff are. it thought the cat feeder is a sweeping tool?

Which of these are best for golden retriever hair? Its driving me crazy😅
It looks like the Q Revo does everything. Why wouldn't anybody choose that one if its in the budget?
i asked in a erlier coment if you are doing a review on the ecovaces deboot x1 PLUS and i am still wondoring if you are going to do a reiview on it?
I have a S5 Max, and very satisfied with it. Which of these would be the most similar, spec-wise? Im guessing Q7
Q7 Max, which is what I have and what I think is the best overall in the line up value wise. Obstacle avoidance is a bit of a gimmick and all mopping is basically dragging a dirty mop around your house.
The S7MaxV ultra doesn’t have the “clean along floor direction”. I have 2 of them. Fully updated. Neither have that option
I heard it only shows up after deleting and making a new map, not sure if true.
@@TechnicalLee dang that kinda suck if true lol
We love our roborocks!
Great to hear!
So which one is the winner?
🎉🎉🎉🎉
He is back
I have the S7 maxv and I still love it.
Nice!
@@VacuumWars somebody already made an open source firmware that runs an entire server directly on the device with a companion APK that runs on Android, so even if they ever shut down you can still have the device flashed and continue to use it.
Sorry, I’m buying one Robot vacuum and i want have the top in the market. Can I ask you, in your opinion which is the best? I see that Roborock S8, Dreame L20 and Ecovacs X2 are very popular but I don’t know which is better. Thank you!
Check out our Best Robot Vacuums of 2023 video right here: ruclips.net/video/ccFspGr1SIQ/видео.html Hope that helps!
can you run more than 1 Robot (S8) on 1 floor and controll with the same app?
Looking to replace Neato D7, I just picked up the S7 off Amazon for $400 and like it. Only real negative is the small dirt cup and the need to stick my fingers inside it to get the dog hair balls out and the small filter seems to clog quickly so I have to monkey with that every time. I'm kinda bummed the empty station Rr promised won't be available. So...is it worth sending the S7 back for an Q7 Max+ for another $100? Is the empty feature worth the extra? What else is different between the S7 and S7+Max?
What is the cheapest roborock out there that has obstacle avoidance?
Love your videos, I just bought a roborock based on your comparisons. However, why have you never mentioned the limitations with WiFi??? I just bought my mom a $500 vacuum, it won’t connect to WiFi because roborock is still developing Stone Age products that can’t connect to anything but 2.4 ghz networks. Wtf. Can’t return, can’t use. Please add a disclaimer to future videos!
Solution is to separate the bands, easy fix. Named one with the ending “2G” and the “5G” to separate them.
just tested the s8 pro ultra... mopping is mediocre at best. can't deal with anything that's not 100% fresh. vaacuming is fine. also my dock died instantly and apparently they use gigacheap and poor quality parts so.. it's your money. it also got stuck in the very first charging cable and the mop liftoff is only great if you have a very slim carpet - - and still gets it wet.
weirdly it also kept pushing the dirt under the carpet something I never seen with others.
on the bright side mapping was super fast. though the fast mapping doesn't allow any customizations yet and it only knows more less where carpets and stuff are.
it thought the cat feeder is a sweeping tool?
What about the "V" in the name?
What about the eufy x9 pro
I wish they had one without a mop and obstacle avoidance. I don't really need a mop.
I have the S7Max V Ultra and for the life of me, I can't find floor direction.
I'm not sure, but if you edit your map, you can set the surface to wood.
I looked at specs q7 max and it says 4200 pa
Hi
S7 maxv ultra is the best out there, even better then the new s8
