His example is as like as those doctors who has no degree but they are doctors called by people and sometimes patients die from their treatment. You will find these doctors in poor countries. Wake up

The Majority referred here is the Majority of the Dunya'' not the Muslims..
He referred the ayah for Kafirs to Muslims
“Ibn Umar considered the Khawarij and the heretics as the worst beings in creation, and he said: They went to verses which were revealed about the disbelievers and applied them to the Believers.(Bukhari Chapter Khawarjites)Ibn Hajr al Asqalani (rah) said in Fath ul bari: That its sanad is sahih

Anas bin Malik said:
“I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘My nation will not unite on misguidance, so if you see them differing, follow the great majority.’”
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَانُ بْنُ رِفَاعَةَ السَّلاَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو خَلَفٍ الأَعْمَى، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي لَنْ تَجْتَمِعَ عَلَى ضَلاَلَةٍ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ اخْتِلاَفًا فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالسَّوَادِ الأَعْظَمِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

There u its established we follow the Majority in amongst Muslims not the Dunya.
Because still Majority of Dunya is disbelievers, following their trend , belief will lead us astray.
