I wish you guys talk to Mark because his first surgery was absolutely terrible and terrifying. SPOILER TO THE STORY He thought he was gonna die in the hospital because the staff didn't believe the pain and agony he was in
I can totally relate to that. I wish doctors could actually take stomach pains seriously. Lots of lives could be saved if X-ray was one of the first things they did.
I hope he does.. Reminds me when I went to doctors thru years of pain, turned out I had gallstones and they were so massive they had to get me into surgery asap. Thankfully I trusted my doctor enough to tell her and she xrayed me.

Same thing happened to my mom. The ambulance guys wouldn’t even take her by they thought she was after drugs. She flatlined a couple times but her recovery was hell.
Mark only ever took breaks when he was in the hospital and even then he kept posting videos when he could. He's a great guy, incredibly dedicated, and a serious workaholic.
Workaholic is pretty unhealthy, anxiety and stuff cause physical issues like blood clots and blood pressure issues, hopefully he gets better though. Edit: better as in with stress, I know he’s fine now.
As a colon cancer survivor, I felt that “I pooped” tweet. I went into the hospital March 25, 2020 to have Robotic LAR surgery. They were all happy in the hospital when I pooped and didn’t throw up my food! Loved the nurses who took care of me in such a vulnerable time. 2020 has been hell of a year.
Congratulations! That's a huge win, your comment really put a big smile on my face (I'm a gastric ward regular) Good luck on your journey to recovery 💪🏻
Mark: *Announces on Twitter that he pooped* the entire internet: WOOOOOOOOOOOO, YEEEAAAA BAAABYYYY THATS WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT, WOOHOOOO!!!!!
@Chicken_nuggies28 - he didn’t say he’s not pro people tweeting about pooping. He said he’s not “a pro” (i.e. not experienced, not educated) about why pooping is important / exciting in the context of this medical issue (and therefore why Mark tweeted about it). He doesn’t know the medical stuff behind it that makes it important, so he was asking for help to understand.
8:25 Mark is able to handle alot of pain and discomfort. He, in fact, regularly likes to test himself to see how much pain he can handle. But he's definitely not a masochist.
@@tessadelafuente9318 I've almost died eating waffles, I can't help it, soft bread foods are too easy to stuff in my mouth before I realize what I've done and then I'm choking.
He should watch one if Mark's videos called "Pain." Where Mark is talking about the worst Hospital experience and a doctor that every fan wants to fight-
@@catfan__ I mean, you can blame him. If you suspect someone is a junkie trying to con drugs out of you there are steps you can take to prevent it, but it shouldn't be your go-to assumption and it shouldn't come first at the detriment to the care of the patient.
The man has a healthy diet but he was like “ima eat at least a pound of pop tarts for a video” and his intestines were like “AAAAHHHH” then he proceeded to tell ppl it wasn’t the pop tarts. This kind of thing happened to me so. I would say I would know but I’ve never been to the hospital because of it
Healthy diet??? What makes you think he has a healthy diet? Mark has admitted to having a bad diet more than once, lots of take out, takis, 1 pound blocks of cheese, etc.
Tbf Chubbyemu memed on the poptart situation after he turned up to be ok too, and so we're not alone in that I guess?? At least one medical professional has conquered with the poptart theory. 🤣 I just felt bad for Mark though so glad he's feeling better. 👍
As a new nurse, when you have someone that hasn’t pooped in 3 or 4 days, and you’re waiting on that BM for their placement, having that patient poop is a thing to celebrate 😂
I had gallbladder surgery last week. My nurses didn’t seem all that interested in my lack of movement, but we were pretty excited when it finally happened. I do NOT want to go back to the hospital!
I remember my only hospital visit was after I was so severely constipated as like a 12 year old, that I literally couldn't move. Was bent over in the fetal position until they finally got me to the hospital and "stuff happened". They literally kept me there, in the hospital I was born in, for 3 days, just to make sure I wouldn't relapse into non-pooping. It's honestly astounding, just how much pain your body can put you in, for a) not eating right and b) not drinking enough. So many head- and stomachaches I've had since, could just be resolved by drinking a bit of coffee and chugging water.
@@faevourite Yeah uh, alot of people can't actually afford the "cheap" insurance. And "cheap" insurance often isn't even accepted everywhere... healthcare is fucked.
I'd love to see 2 collabs. 1 with Dr. Mike playing a game with Markiplier and the other is Markiplier talking and hanging out with Dr. Mike!!! They're both awesome!!!!!
I had a tumor obstructing the passage between my stomach and my small intestine. Due to my own fears of being called an “exaggerate”, I didn’t consult a doctor for more than a year. By then I was vomiting several times a day, couldn’t eat anything, not even broths, and was on the brink of a full body shutdown, due to mineral and vitamin losses and lack of proteins even at blood level. My body ate itself, muscles, bones and fat reserves, and it took me almost a year to recover from surgery. I’m lucky to be alive.
I can empathize with the not want to come off as an exaggerate. I wasn't in as severe of a situation as you (I'm glad you're doing better!) I had delt with gallstones for years without realizing because I just figured it was acid reflux. Finally it got to the point I was in crippling pain and vomiting. I ended up having emergency surgery to have it removed, and had to go back in for 2 more procedures cause stones ended up lodged in ducts. Y'all, don't wait if something isn't right.
mark "if you've got weird stomach pains... go see a doctor" me having had weird serious stomach pains for 10 years after many diets and surgeries that the doctors still can't figure out: ahahahhahahaha
Me after having terrible gas pains so bad I wanted to die only to figure out it only happened when I drank anything with artificial sweetener in it, thus finding out I'm allergic to sucralose and aspertame: aaaaah......haaa....haaaaaaa....
Seriously. I have had upper gi and colonoscopy... drs still stumped. I just chalk it up to my ehlers danlos... but figuring out the problem so it doesn't keep happening would be nice.
@@nopenope4848 well the cult aspect sorta came from markiplier himself but fans are usually never toxic to each other or Mark. Like I said before there was a period of time where things weren’t good, there is also the super weird obsessed fans who just shouldn’t even be part of any community.
Uhm thats not the bowl/stomache but the womb oo The pain from the womb can radiate to other body parts but during menstruation your stomache usually doesnt hurt. There are some exceptions though of course but I dont wish you/anyone neither of them
@@chickenalpaca0332 uhm did I miss something? We (or rather I) were (was) talking about pain and how pain can originate in part of the body and radiate all the way to another. Of course nause can happen during menstruation. It can be from pain or hormonal nosedives and rapid spikes to name two of the many causes o_o
I get bad period cramps (and actually have gone to the ER for them once as I have had a few gyn surgeries and was worried something got messed up), but a bowel obstruction is a totally different pain. I've had many of them and you're not gonna confuse that pain with cramps. With a bowel obstruction, I get sharp pains whenever my bowel tries to move, a ton of pressure, and a feeling like things are backing up (and the nausea is also different- I've actually thrown up feces before because my bowel got so messed up they had nowhere else to go. I waited too long and an NG tube would have prevented that particular experience!).
Wish Unus Annus still existed so they could react to Mark’s story of not getting pain meds after his surgery. Dr. Mike would have a field day with that tale.
Even if you’re experiencing bad period pain regularly you’ll notice that something is wrong if you’re having stomach pain because of a serious obstruction. I‘m one of the unlucky girls who have very bad period pains and I also already had a small bowel obstruction because of scar tissue and 2 more because my bowel wrapped itself around for some reason. It’s a whole different kind of stomach pain and overall feeling and you’ll notice the difference. Even if both are a 10/10 for you on the pain scale and the main pain is located in the belly area in both cases (it can also spread to the back etc.), it still just feels different. For me period pain is a constant pain and the obstruction pain came in waves as if I was going to born a child (colics) and you have to throw up a lot more, only to name a few noticeable differences besides from the feeling of the pain itself.
@@icecreamiscream8984 It depends. Some girls don't get cramps, like me but some girls do and in fact HORRIBLE ones. Many pass out or throw up from the pain that's why there is medicine for period cramps.
@@icecreamiscream8984 It can hurt a lot or not at all. It's also possible to get a cyst on your ovaries and if it ruptures the pain is like a knife in your abdomen
I can sorta relate. I could've died earlier this year. And that tube is terrible. I got really bad stomach pain. I thought it was my ulcer acting up as usually when I eat something spicy. But the pain got worse and I started to throw up. The pain got so intense I thought I was dying. I called emergancy and I'm still mindblown how the operator could even understand me as I could only scream out in pain. It literally felt like a alien was gonna burst out from my stomach. Well at the ER, I wasnt taken seriously bc "I could sleep so I couldnt be in that much pain". The real reason I "slept" was bc I was given such strong pain meds that I literally passed out until the effect wore off and I was pulled awake by the extreme pain. They finally decided to do a MRI (I think its called). And after that everything went fast. They found out that I had a pretty rare diagnose called Cekal Volvulus. And when the surgeon opened me, they was met with blackness and necrosis (I think its called), dead tissue pretty much. So they had to cut out the dead part and reattach my small bowls to my large intestine. The part that was removed had twisted itself around/into its own wall attachment. It had pretty much hanged itself. It is very rare in Caucasians, which is what I am, and has a pretty high mortality as it is hard to discover and usually gets wrongly diagnosed as IBS. It is however pretty common in Asians. I would actually love if Doctor Mike would make a video about Cekal Volvulus. After about half year, I went to the ER with stomach pain again. This time it was just a simple blockage. But I was told to keep an eye on my pooping and I must drink laxative as soon as I notice difficulties. And apparently there is a blockage diarrhea, caused by liquid managing to sip pass the blockage, which can trick one to think there's nothing wrong. I do have some issues that appeared after the surgery, but I can live with it. What do confuses me alot is that sweet-ish smell that my poop has since the surgery. Its superweird but yay for non stinky bathrooms. Lol. But the worst part from this is the anxiety I get as soon as I get some stomachache or heartburn. A simple thing as eaten or drinking a little too much that it cause a slightly discomfort, can cause an anxiety attack. I wouldnt even wish this upon my biggest enemy. A little note. A day or less after the surgery, they accidently gave me too high dose of the morfin/epidural or what the pain meds they attach to the spine is called, so I also got to experience what its like to not being able to move or feel my legs. It was freaky. My brain signal my legs to get up on the bed again, but nothing happened. It wore off pretty quickly after they lowered the dosage. Im glad I have a pretty high pain tolerance. Hehe.
Must be bad to live in fright of a heartburn or stomach being something else. It must be really disruptive to day to day life. I hope you are alright now. Have a good day
Thanks for sharing your story and I hope you’re doing well now! I’d also like for Mike to explain this disease and the consequences of both the disease itself and of the medical procedures used to treat it (mainly the operation). In regards to your sweet smelling poop, if I had to take a guess, it would be that since they removed a part of your small intestine (right?) you have a lower surface area for nutrients to be absorbed, and since glucose (and fructose) is mainly absorbed through the small intestine, it would make sense that some of it is excreted and giving the sweet smell. What I can’t quite figure out though is that glucose is mainly absorbed though the jejunum (2nd part of the small intestine), and since your obstruction was later and nearer to the large intestine, I can’t see why the jejunum would be that affected. But I can read that fructose is also absorbed elsewhere in the small intestine, so fructose might be the culprit here 😅 again, just guessing
Oh I wanted to say that regarding the weird poop smell, idk how it is with humans, but I used to work with severe manx syndrome cats who had really weird smelling poop because their guts are a bit funky and food kinda just goes right through them, so maybe its similar since you're missing a good chunk of digestion power
@@kaylee1769 It was caused by a mishap. The doctors thought they had given him pain medication, a lot of it as well, but they hadn't and no one noticed it (except Mark) until Mark's friend's mother checked his charts and noticed he hadn't been given _any_ pain medication... (If I remember the story correctly. It's been a long while.)
@@acrojen03: They were giving him pain medication, but they messed up the dosages, so that's why they didn't believe him that he was still in pain. They were only supposed to lower the dosage of the anesthetics 'part' because Mark's legs were getting numb because of it, but unfortunately, they also lowered the painkiller 'part', so he was getting practically nothing.
My eldest son, aged 49 years, lost his life to this. He had Hydrocephalus as a baby after Meningitis and had many shunts put in. As a result, adhesions twisted his bowel to a point that portions of his bowel dies. From extreme pain on the Friday, he presented at the hospital, was operated on straight away and again another on Saturday morning, he was placed on life support. We had to make a decision on Sunday. I am so happy that this fellow had a positive outcome. Thank God.
Markiplier: I eat a lot of poptarts Literally less than a week later: Hey guys, so I'm in the hospital again and there's an unexpected small intestine blockage
I remember this one girl on reddit who only ate hot pockets for a few weeks and all of the poop in the intestines had hardened and they had to get it out w surgery. Junk food intake really has to be micromanaged 😌*says this while eating junk food "
It would actually be a really cool idea to have mark as a collaborator for a video, he's big enough that it would get a lot of attention, and he's seems like a really curious guy so I think he'd be willing to ask questions and talk about medical stuff while also having a good time, which in turn would make a fun and also educational video for not only your subscribers but his as well.
As someone who's spent an extended period of time in the hospital, I can confidently say that you can become very comfortable with people having frequent conversations about poop; even in regular life. Doctors can't seem to go even a few hours without talking about poo 😂
I spent 3 months in the hospital when I was seven due to mono, strep, flu and pneumonia. I got mono which compromised my immune system then got everything thing else. I wish I remembered talking about poop I just remember pain and red because my entire body was swelling including my eyelids.
Its so funny waiting for that first poop/pee, and we're all so happy, then the pt goes 5 more times throughout the shift... like good job! Thats enough tho...🥲
@@dionshelby5494 Gasto-oesophageal reflux disease - stomach acid coming up into your throat basically. It causes pain and the acid can cause erosion. I have this caused by meds I take. One of the main meds that cause this are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, naproxen) so I wonder if his pain relief for fibromyalgia (muscle pains and aches, oversensitivity to touch, chronic fatigue are just a few symptoms and doctors rarely know the cause) is causing the reflux.
Funny thing about the ng tube, I am currently in nursing school rn and they have stopped practicing listening for tube placement with a stethoscope bc it’s considered an outdated method, they teach us to check via aspirating gastric fluid instead bc it is more accurate. However I still see it in practice with many doctors and nurses.
One of the few on youtube who’s tried to be as genuine as possible. I used to be a big fan of his, but I don’t really enjoy gaming content all that much anymore.
That's understandable, not everyone likes the same content. But I can confirm that, from what I've seen, he's such a good person. He donates a lot of money to charity, and his clothing brand often features that x amount of proceeds will go to whatever charity he picked recently. Plus, I personally think he's just got a great personality. He's an easy person to watch and enjoy, and his content helped me through a really tough loss this summer. Anyway, this got long-winded, so sorry about that.
That man's medical history is in equal parts terrifying and hilarious. =Example A; Due to an error he got NO medication after his first surgery. =Example B; He nearly went blind after being hit in the eye with a PICKLE. He's also had multiple heart attacks and has been pepper sprayed in the eyes. A collab between these two would be GOLD. If you can get him to even see this that is.
I would like to point out that directly before his obstruction, he did eat A TON of poptarts that were expired. Not saying thats what caused it, but it does seem important
Poptarts are super processed so it's no wonder they ended up obstructing his bowels. I have trouble going if I only eat one pack of them so imagining him eating a whole box makes my intestines cringe.
He said and the doctors said it was from his other surgery its no okay to blame a patient and make them feel terrible that they cause it. can we just stop? I would of hated when I found out I had Lupus kids online telling me its my fault and I caused a lifelong illness so shut up and listen to the doctors
@@Ilivepuppys I wasn't blaming anyone, I was simply stating an observation. I personally thought that maybe the poptarts played a part in it. It was in no way Mark's fault. As someone who has a lifelong condition, I would never blame someone for causing something that is out of their control.
My mom has had 3 bowel obstructions, 2 requiring surgery, 1 just the tube. She has always had problems with her stomach and often complained about bloating, constipation, irritation, etc. but doctors basically chalked it up to poor diet and eventually she just lived life as if it was normal. One day she felt a lot pain in her abdomen, worse than expected, but she figured it was just the discomfort of constipation- that night she told me was a pain that you essentially cannot mistake as anything "normal." When Mark says stomach pain that you should see a doctor for (aside, yknow, chronic occurrences then yes see a doc) he means you'd know what kind of pain is an emergency- if you are even struggling to stand up straight and the pain is invading every thought, you need to go to the ER. Especially if you are bloated on top of that. Mom had terrible care at the hospital, doctors insisted she was suffering with other things from the stomach flu to trapped gas from constipation, since her "tests showed nothing," but she was kept under observation with pain meds. My dad said they were pretty dismissive of her pain and weren't really urgent with caring for her, it was honestly very bizarre. It really wasn't until 4 days later that she started vomiting up black and had severe mental disorientation (like she was delirious, it was terrifying), by then she was extremely bloated and nobody noted that she hadn't had a bowel movement- they never even diagnosed her with an obstruction because there was no imaging indicating she had anything going on. Which would be fair, but it wasn't until a first year actually noticed that there literally was never imaging tests done, literally NO xrays or anything. VERY bizarre. By the time they actually got one done, she was way too far gone from having anything besides emergency surgery. From what I understand, she was merely hours away from going into sepsis shock due to the extended amount of time a large buildup of fluid and waste had clogged up part of her intestine that it caused perforation, which began leaking out and infecting the area. Apparently the cause of the obstruction itself was a congenital growth in that section of the intestine and she was somehow lucky enough not to trigger an obstruction for up to 35 years. I'm not sure what it is called, I just know that it existed in her ever since development and very rare, and rarer for adults to be affected for the first time. Anyway, the surgery did result in scar tissue causing a couple other obstructions, but now she's very aware of the symptoms. It did take until the 2nd obstruction to also diagnose her with Crohn's, which also lends a more likelihood of obstructions than average. Bowel obstructions are absolutely no joke and people do die from them, and it can be as quick as a few days! Scary stuff!
I know no one will ever see this comment, but hearing this story was so heartwarming! For almost three months I was in and out of the hospital, sometimes even staying overnight I also had and Ng tube in my nose. The doctors where very rude and they kept trying to make us leave. One doctor tried to convince us I had a brain tumor, but he said “you don’t look like most people that have them, I don’t think an MRI is needed.” They also made me do a full cleanout because they said I was backed up, and after this was over we went to my GI doctor who said “you where not backed up.” And I am thing are you kidding me!!! I struggled with such a long time. I was vomiting all the time, so finally after a long wait I had an upper and lower endoscopy, in that they found nothing except that I was lactose intolerant... Literally my whole life doctors have told me I was lactose intolerant and they said your fine. But now we have proof! The worst part about all of this is the fact that about a year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. So I had an Upper GI for the 2 time in my life because I have already had one when I was three. So I had the upper GI and they tested my lactose intolerants and EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL!! And here we are to this day still having little off and on symptoms, but I am not eating any dairy or gluten. (because I have celiac disease) So uh yeah, I know the pain Markiplier... Also thank you to Dr. Chaing and Dr. Mike for educating us all.
My lactose intolerance started showing symptoms when I was an adult. I can totally understand your pain. And on top of it all, you have celiac disease too? That's horrible. I hope you are alright
I wish the UK had primary care doctors like you guys. Over here it is chaotic. It literally takes 1-2 weeks to get an appointment. Then you see a different doctor every time you go. If you're going for a follow up appointment, you have to explain the whole issue over again. I've even had a second doctor not agree with the previous doctors diagnosis and change/cancel meds. Its just crazy.
I had a bowel obstruction and large impact in the summer and didn't have a bowel movement for a month - none of my doctors believed me because I was talking and I was just prescribed medications, I eventually went to the hospital and they all told me I should've came in earlier cause they said I could've died. My doctor ended up calling me to apologize but it's important to advocate for these issues cause you never know what's gonna happen
Ugh I feel so bad for him, I have this same issue and have had small bowl obstructions over 10 times due to scar tissue and everytime they do surgery to correct the scar tissue, it causes more scar tissue. I have a scar that goes from my sternum all the way to about 3” past my bellybutton. To be honest getting the NG tube put while awake is worse than the obstruction even though the obstruction is extremely painful. This actually is life threatening because I waited once and started throwing up so bad I actually ruptured my intestines and had emergency surgery which I then caught MRSA from the hospital and ended up on lift support for 6 weeks and after that I was on TPN for almost 6 months through a PICC line in my arm. I still wait days with stomach pains because when I go into the hospital they act like I’m there only wanting pain meds and that it’s all in my head even though I have medical records since 2008 that I’ve had these issues and records going back to when I was 16 that I have complained of severe abdominal pain for no obvious reason. I actually had this issue back in November and the doctor told me it was just gas and I needed to fart. I was like I’ve been in this pain for a week something is wrong. I’m actually laying here at this exact moment with a heating pad in my stomach because of the pain but I know there is no point in going to the ER because they will act like I’m wasting their time and just be rude to me. I have a feeling that this issue will eventually kill me one day because I can not find any medical providers other than my PCP that gives a shit. He can order all kinds of stuff but if the specialist doesn’t care and pawns me off on someone else then I’m back at square one.
@@xenakisrah6872 Actually just had another one in November that was really bad, but I had a different team of doctors, since I went to a different hospital and they actually had the trauma team do my surgery and I have no idea what all those doctors did while I was knocked out for 8 hours, but this has been the first time I have felt this good in over 15 years since I had my first one.
I'm a crohnie too been a while since I drank the contrast fluid thankfully, but alas I am one of those ppl on daily IV nutrition TPN (mostly for fluid balance/not for calories anymore as I can eat and keep it down but cannot absorb liquids-short bowel syndrome after multiple resection surgeries) on another note--I refuse naso- gastro tubes now as they can never get it in without trauma--and it doesn't stop me from throwing up even when they're trying to suction the bile at same moment lol.. 😅 I feel ya Mark!
I'm a fellow Crohnie too! I've found the iv contrast to taste worse then the drinks. BUT nothing has tasted worse then the barium contrast which was also a painful xray.
As someone with Crohns disease and having had surgery for a perf....this all hits home. Man it sucks but it is great to see the information getting out about all related stuff. Thanks Docs!
He pooped! 😂 Dr. Mike, I think it’ll be cool if you could collab with Corpse Husband and talk about all his ailments lol I think it would be very informative
Bruh, if Corpse is comfortable with that idea, hell yeah! I don't want to insert the internet into his business if he's not down, but that could be super informative. Again, IF that's something he's comfortable doing. It's his business and if he doesn't want to explain his health to anyone, that's 100% valid and his decision. Another collab I never knew I wanted! Lol
As a therapist, seeing a comment like this is absolutely terrifying. Not only is it absolutely tone deaf, but you completely disregard Corpse’s feelings towards
If Corpse wants to spread awareness about agoraphobia and GERD, Im absolutely all for it. But just suggesting it out of the blue, without his knowledge....is a different level of disgust I’ll never be able to explain. Please think about these people as real people and not just modes of entertainment.
I have had 3 bowel obstructions, and it is the worst pain I have ever felt. All 3 resulted in surgery for me unfortunately. The NG tube is absolutely a point of terror for me...for some reason it has turned into a phobia....that being said, it does help to relieve the pain. I have had some not nice people insert it though and I think that's what has contributed to the fear. I'm glad to see something like this on here because it does affect more people than you would think. Thanks Dr Mike 🧡
Rapid triage is something that I really appreciate having access to. I'm unsure if there are similar services elsewhere, but in Australia we have Nurse On Call. It's a phone service that you call, they take Medicare information and they will provide basic health advice, recommend follow-up with your GP (General Practictioner or regular doctor) or to visit a hospital if it's more serious, or pass your call on to 000 (our 911 equivalent) if necessary. They will even pass the call on to mental health care support lines if that's what is needed. When it's late at night and some lingering ache gets worse, or if something else comes on suddenly but doesn't feel too bad, having a service that's not quite calling an ambulance, but is more immediate than booking a GP appointment is really comforting.
I actually had this exact issue that markiplier had when I was a teenager back in 2010 then fast forward to now I no longer have got issues due to my diet
There's a lot of problems with the American healthcare system but being able to just call up your doctor any time if you're concerned about something makes me very jealous!
Mark also mentioned after his first surgery the doctors forgot to give him medication to relieve his pain after surgery and didnt believe him when he said he was in pain
To be precise, they gave him a solution that did not have the pain medication in it, so he was mistakenly receiving a saline solution, but the doctors were convinced it was the correct pain medication so that's why they didn't believe him and that it took so long for them to realize the mistake. (If I recall correctly. You can watch Mark's video called "Pain" for the correct story) Cheers !

@@irimac1806 Here is your smort certificate: 🎉📃
I get bad period cramps (and actually have gone to the ER for them once as I have had a few gyn surgeries and was worried something got messed up), but a bowel obstruction is a totally different pain. I've had many of them and you're not gonna confuse that pain with cramps. With a bowel obstruction, I get sharp pains whenever my bowel tries to move, a ton of pressure, and a feeling like things are backing up (and the nausea is also different- I've actually thrown up feces before because my bowel got so messed up they had nowhere else to go. I waited too long and an NG tube would have prevented that particular experience!).

Mark: If you've got weird stomach pains, go see a doctor
Girls with period: H u h ?

@@icecreamiscream8984 Yes It does for me though
Have a good day
Keep going strong. I believe in you. :D
Holy hell. I can only imagine how terrifying that must have been. I wish you well, hope you stay healthy and take care of yourself!

If you’re ever at the hospital and you hear doctors cheering about poop, don’t worry. It’s normal.
Oh goodness the ng in the lungs is my worst nightmare. I’ve gotten to the point where I insert them myself!
Thank you all for what you do! Please stay healthy and safe! Also, if Markiplier sees this video, I hope that he feels better! 😊
Okay but the fact that SO MANY of marks fans flocked to this channel is amazing - but one thing guys
Memento Mori 🤍🖤

Wouldn’t the equivalent of a primary care doctor be a GP??
so true but I moved diff country but I haven't went to a doctor yet
I had a bowel obstruction and large impact in the summer and didn't have a bowel movement for a month - none of my doctors believed me because I was talking and I was just prescribed medications, I eventually went to the hospital and they all told me I should've came in earlier cause they said I could've died. My doctor ended up calling me to apologize but it's important to advocate for these issues cause you never know what's gonna happen
Mark is just an amazing human being, he is literally hospitalized bedridden and he’s still making videos and laughing.
I love Markiplier and Doctor Mike talk about the best of both ✨worlds✨
I hope you got something figured out 🥺
@@xenakisrah6872 Actually just had another one in November that was really bad, but I had a different team of doctors, since I went to a different hospital and they actually had the trauma team do my surgery and I have no idea what all those doctors did while I was knocked out for 8 hours, but this has been the first time I have felt this good in over 15 years since I had my first one.
Doctor Mike congratulating Markiplier for pooping is quite possibly the strangest thing I've ever seen.
Or said
How can something so crude be so wholesome and heartwarming??
it is definitely normal from a medical or health professional or even a friends or family.
It’s amazing how Mike brings in other experts in his videos when he’s doing something kind of outside of his expertise.
I agree. I love Dr. Mike! He really makes every effort to provide accurate information, and even better can admit he doesn't know everything.

I have Crohn’s and have had to drink that contrast and it’s disgusting 🤢
I'm a crohnie too been a while since I drank the contrast fluid thankfully, but alas I am one of those ppl on daily IV nutrition TPN (mostly for fluid balance/not for calories anymore as I can eat and keep it down but cannot absorb liquids-short bowel syndrome after multiple resection surgeries) on another note--I refuse naso- gastro tubes now as they can never get it in without trauma--and it doesn't stop me from throwing up even when they're trying to suction the bile at same moment lol.. 😅 I feel ya Mark!
Crohnie here too!! I got a lemon lime flavor last few times instead the gross chalky berry flavored yuck!
I'm a fellow Crohnie too! I've found the iv contrast to taste worse then the drinks. BUT nothing has tasted worse then the barium contrast which was also a painful xray.
UCer here! Just wanted to say hi. :) When I had contrast, it didn't taste of anything though.
Crohnie here!

As someone with Crohns disease and having had surgery for a perf....this all hits home. Man it sucks but it is great to see the information getting out about all related stuff. Thanks Docs!
He pooped! 😂
Dr.
Please think about these people as real people and not just modes of entertainment.
i have never seen a man say 'He pooped!' so happily, and enthusiastically.

Doctors do that... Often... And it’s so annoying and unfair.
