- Welcome back to Europe! In this episode we map out our trip down the coast, to get La Vagabonde to Lagos for a haul out. Meet Andre, a patron who we met whilst in Lisbon. We were lucky enough to have him onboard to help us sail, because we're still a little tired from the North Atlantic Crossing. Seriously you guys have been the greatest inspiration in my life. You
made me wanna go sail, or at least go out and try things that I genuinely like. Your success dared others to try, to do things they love to do, no matter it being sailing, taking up a sport, working on books and songs and artworks. Your presence on youtube make this terrible world seem less brutal. Thank you for giving me(us audience) such a wonderful break from our mundane lives, and imagine ourselves living out in a sea, looking at the bluest water, having the time of our lives. I'm now at a turning point in my life (just got 18!!), trying to decide what to do after high school. Your channel(both you and Riley) helped a lot in making my decision of what I wanna do next, especially after I've caught up with all your previous episodes. And you taught all of us a very valuable lesson - to live you live however you wanna live, don't let anything hold you back, then you truly feel happy.

This was a fun video for me to watch. I lived in Portugal from 2007 to 2011. It was neat to see the discoverers monument siloetted in some early footage and to see the tower of Belem. We visited the Algarve several times and were actually in Lagos on one occasion. We miss Portugal. It was a great place to live. We are happily retired sheltering at home in Calif. at the moment. I enjoy your videos. Thanks.
Great to be back to the sense of the undiscovered adventure, though you did the right thing by filling us in to the crossing run-up. The Atlantic was just awe inspiring and a little frightening to watch. I am so looking forward to seeing the boat hauled and refitted for your next experiences, but of course I watch with trepidation because the virus is coming. Please be safe.

Riley, when you get ready to respond the bottom, add 1cup of cayenne pepper powder to each gallon of paint. It drastically help with anything growing (barnacles,slime) from growing or sticking to the bottom. Its cheap and it works! Just a tip from a bayou boy on south Louisiana

I’ve been watching from day one and am hoping Riley will one day do side shows getting more technical. Going more in-depth about the repair or what the instruments do and how they work and show us sailing basics 101.
I watched this episode with a tear in my eye. Me and my little family were supposed to leave for Portugal next week, obviously not happening with the current state of affairs. Despite my grief, I'm feeling privileged to have had the opportunity, and to be safe home with my three and almost one-year-old.
