Thanks Schwall... Very nice country reviee. Oh, those flies. You speak excellent English too. Thanks again... planning my vacation to Mali in 2020. It should be adventurous. I still need to get all my shots.

good video, mate! i wanna go to mali too... luckily, i don't need visa to go there (it's visa-free for my country) but the plane tickets is too expensive bcs mali is so far away from here :( btw it's funny that jakarta is the city where i live :D those motorcycles were imported from indonesia back in the 90s
It is called a Boubou. You can get a cheap one in the market (after lengthy negociations), but Malians usually get it done by a tailor after choosing the fabric. I recommend you go to the Badalabougou market to choose your fabric and then they will take you to a local tailor. There are tons of them.
Salut! Im thinking about visiting Cairo in December. I heard that you have to buy a visa or something to do with migration. Do you know anything about this? Good video by the way!
As a French citizen I had to obtain a visa. It is safer to get it at your local Egyptian consulate but you can also buy it at the airport when you arrive
Most people cook with wooden charcoal that they buy on the street side. Electricity is a mix of main grid and personal generators. Solar panels are developing but are still expensive. Solar PAYG exists but is not as developed as in East African markets
Yeah Mali is best country in the world 🌍 we don’t have a problem with religion ten of thousands religion living together in Mali without any problems but the policy of Arab people it’s the make fire 🔥 on the Mali that won’t happen
Africans, southeastern Asians and we, the Greeks, I think we are the only people on the planet, that we are full of the 50cc, 110cc and the 125cc asian motorbikes in our lands!!! The only difference, is that in Africa, the city neighborhood streets are mud with halls, but in Greek city neighborhoods are asphalt... with holes!!! 😂🤣
I would definitely not recommend to go anywhere north of Ségou. Which means you cannot see Timbuktu unfortunately. But the capital city is safe. There has not been any incident for years now, and street criminality is very low
@@SimonSCHWALL I see. Mali is not on my list to visit anyway. Timbuktu is not a place I feel I have to see. However I think it is interesting to see other westerners travel in these western african countries.
I didn´t really understand if Bamako is safe for tourists or not. Can You feel safe alone on the streets or you should have some bodyguards with you at all time. Also do they sell alcohol at bars in Bamako?
The security situation in Mali is complicated. Mali is generally safe but there have been some terror attacks in the past few years. Check the latest recommendations from your foreign ministry and avoid going too much north of Bamako. But from what I experienced, there is no street criminality in Mali (unlike South Africa or many places in Latin America for example) so you don't need a bodyguard with you in Bamako. And yes, bars serve alcohol in Bamako. They have some good beers.
