GUN JACK it’s really not that simple. Plenty of these tracks have a bpm around 120. Brighter Days - Cajmere is one example, it’s one of the first songs he plays
Part of it is that he and his friends produced many of these tracks, they live and breathe this music, he's heard them hundreds of times and knows how much to tweak it and when/how to blend in the next tune.
Also, these decks (or the mixer) quite likely have a bpm meter.
But you are right, mixing music with this many drums is not easy. He's got to use the EQs to drop the highs and lows in one at a time, so if there's any slight sync issue it won't be noticeable. DJ Earl is probably one of the best footwork DJs I've seen so far though, his technique is tight and this is one of his best mixes IMO.
It's mostly in or about 160 or 120 but you do see him pitch bending then just to keep them in line every now and again..
