If I put my palm on them I can feel the glass flex! My heart breaks for areas hit by tornados; Michigan for the first in recorded history and one Oklahoma town hit by TWO tornados in, I think, as many days🥺🌪😬🌪🫣🌪 A for sure time of needed prayers!

I love the stories on this channel. I was intensely moved by this one in particular about Ol' Red and Miss Gracie. It left me with a whole host of feelings/emotions not only nostalgic but joyful and peaceful as well. While there will always be a sense of loss when folks we know and love pass on, Red and Gracie reminded me about community, selfless dedication to one's neighbor, humility and peace. It reminds us that parting can be and IMHO should be, just sweet sweet sorrow. An overwhelming sense of joy and peace is possible when you keep in mind that Gracie prepared her house to be left behind because she was going Home. A thought I had.

Mr. Red was sent to Miss Gracie so she wouldn't be alone thats why she didn't want him to leave. Mr. Jared this heartwarmin story made me cry cause it reminded me of my daddy cause he asked me and my son,Spencer to move in with him after my mama went to Heaven cause he didnt want to be alone. My daddy never told me that but I just knew.

The world today would bet off if it was more like this. As a kid I knew everyone in our neighborhood kids or no kids, when they were home and gone. All us kids did and the available parent was boss. It was a great way to grow up.

Well, here is one for you Brother Jared. My friend and co worker, myself and another co worker were talking to Ms. Dellia were talking in the office day before yesterday. Dellia said she was feeling poorly and she was white as a sheet. She said she was going to the Doctor and ended up going to Hospital. The next morning our CO worker saw me walking by and called me over. She told me Dellia had just passed. I just opened the office where we all work and there was nothing but peace. No haunt,no Hait just Peace. You🌸 all be Blessed. I want to go just like that.

Hi Jared! Such a beautiful story! Much thanks to Leland Roth for allowing you to tell it. I suppose man will be afraid of dying for as long as we are around, but the truth is that we seem more scared of it now than we have ever been. Those that came before us (and I'm talking about as close as the 1960s and early 70s) knew that death was a part of life as they dealt with it much more frequently. They also dealt with it better IMO. I'm glad that Ole Red's wife knew it was time to send her husband up there, that Miss Gracie got to do all the things that she loved and that she didn't die alone. That the community took care of her is something that we really need to re-learn. All of us need one another's love, especially when we're alone in the world.

I had an Aunt Grace Carter in North Carolina. Aunt Grace didn't leave this world as nicely as this Grace did (in your story). Aunt Grace didn't get a choice in the matter. She was at peace with God. Diabetes can be a hard way to die.

You should look into the story of Dr. William Key, and his horse The Beautiful Jim Key. The horse was buried in Shelbyville Tennessee. Dr. William Key was a slave at one time.
