FSU fan here: Benson's best ability is his strength at every point of the play. He runs strong when he's picking a gap at the line, and he runs strong when he's full speed in the open field. Also, he has the vision and speed to put him in positions to utilize and capitalize off his strength. Don't let the 4.3 fool you, he's a power back with speed and not a speed back with power.
Absolutely correct
Excellent RB
That sounds alot like what James Connor is for the cards right now. If he can be that guy hes going to get a lot of reps this season.
Sounds like James Connor but faster. Those two are gonna be lethal for the Cards.
and his contact balance
This is the Very Best Draft My Cards Have had Since They Had Dennis Green Bringing Carlos Dansby ,Darnell Docket,Clais Campbell,Larry Fitz Edrin James And That Whole Superbowl Team From 2008...Been a Long Long Time since ive been Excited about The Arizona Cardnials Draft and Whole Front office. They Finally Got it Right
The leauge is going in a nice direction, coming from a raiders fan it feels like every team had an exciting, and for our fanbases a rejuvenating draft.
I miss those days but Edgerrin James was trash. We could have drafted Adrian Peterson
AZ had the most top 100 picks since the Cowboys in the 1990 draft after they traded Herschel Walker n those picks laid the foundation for a dynasty. The players AZ landed will transform that franchise they’re going to be exceptional going forward n will only get better every week this year
We didn't draft edgerrin though
NAILED IT!! Impressive
they changed the title..
I think he's going to be a super interesting case study. As an FSU fan- I would love to see him go somewhere with a good run blocking line. He needs to be kept clean to generate momentum, has a harder time with navigating traffic in the backfield. You guys hit the nail on the head that explosivity is the name of his game. He gets there in a different way and the highs aren't *quite* as high but in a way he has that Ken walker low success rate that you can live with because of his explosiveness
Cards had one of the best rushing offenses last year. Trey Benson should compliment James Connor really well.
A absolute steal by us
yes it was
Crazy how yall got it right 😂
As a Cardinals fan I am STUNNED at this guess
they didn’t they just change the title bro 😂😂
@@deecee2174they changed the title
they changed the title lol
You definitely can be swindled out of money
As a cardinals fan I can say we actually had a very great draft this year I’m stunned they actually used their brains this year I’m hyped for this season 🆙🤝
They used their brain last year, too.
He reminds me of a Saquon, Chubb, Zeke hybrid. Zeke’s patient and burst, Saquon’s agility, and Chubb’s strength. I think he’s going to develop into a top 5 back if he stays healthy.
Jesus bro those are some of the best RB’s of this era and their best traits I wouldnt go that far. Latavius Murray is a better comp.
Az on the come up holy shihhhhhh.. Marv Jr? K1? Wilson? Benson?.. Connor???!!!
Its nice to have a steady RB behind a beast in Connor whos only downside is injury. So if Connor gets hurt.. We got a beast behind him now. Thank you Monti! A real Gm
Don't forget McBride
Greg Dortch
Lol sorry i didnt name the entire team guys
@@WebbShortsMcBride is an absolute monster as an elite top 5TE. He should easily cross 80+rex/1200+YDs n 6-8TDs as a big red zone weapon. Drafting the most athletic TE in the draft who’s an elite run blocker but who can also become a premier receiving TE with his speed/size n ability to separate in massive 6”5/270pd Tip Reiman I think he’s going to be elite and a big time red zone weapon as a receiver. And 2nd yr TE who scouts around the league are high n expect to break out in converted WR 6”4/245pd Elijah Higgins who can be excellent in the passing game as a receiver. Blake Whiteheart is very talented going into yr2 as well . Arizona has an elite loaded TE room that is easily one of the 3 best if not thee best TE corps in the NFL.
@@K1forMVP Oh for sure! Offense will be scary this year, the talent is there. It all comes down to the playbook and O-line protecting Kyler. Hopefully the defense glues together well.
Damn spot on lol
As a AZ Cards fan, I am not expecting this team to bust out as a legit team this upcoming season. They are still only in year 2 of a rebuild. They should get better, at least 6-7 win season. But still going to take time, a few more years and this team should be primed. Right now the team is currently building through the draft and getting a nice young core of players. Remember just how old this team was a couple of years ago? Now very young and look at the size difference. The WR core has like 1 or 2 players under 6'1. Before they had guys like Rondale Moore and Andy Isabella. I also remember for the longest time this team never cared much about the TE spot. Now they have a legit threat at TE and they drafted one of the best blocking TE's who could also be a threat in the air. Guy has 10.5" hands, come on, just a tad smaller than Gronks. But the Cards franchise is going the right direction and really enjoying it. But fans need to understand, it takes time. You will be disappointed if you think this upcoming season will be a break out season. They need another 2-3 years. Also, media and fans complaining with how bad last years draft was with Paris Johnson. It was only 1 year, you cant judge a draft class after 1 year. And Paris Johnson could turn out to be a franchise LT. Also, they got some gems on defense, just need more reps and more experience.
New sub here, pretty cool and nuanced take on Benson 👍
He struggled in short yardage obvious running situations but that seemed to be more due to blocking. He was our primary running back the past 2 seasons but they do rotate a lot
Dude is a beast. A 4.39 for a guy his size is crazy
This group of running backs will surprise a lot of people with how many usable backs teams get out of it.
Definitely the best RB in this draft. If he goes to the chargers or Cowboys it’s a wrap
🤔 Wright, Guerendo, Brooks, and even Allen got juice too
@@champfromla6162Guerendo is 23 already and gonna be 24 by season start. Brooks is coming off an ACL, and Allen doesn’t catch passes. Disregarding all of that Benson is the only truly complete back in this class. Elite elusiveness and power, great burst, and doesn’t let go of the football
@@silverknight876 you ever seen a fight and a guy asks, "you 19? You 35"
Irrelevant
Everyone can catch screen and arrow routes
@@silverknight876Brooks is better and I’m not concerned about the ACL.
Well Cards got a steal
As runner he looks great, I'm currious what he do in the passing game though. I would think he would be good at the basics at least. He had some elite highlights with his 2nd level jump cuts.
Definitely one of my favorite players
So what I'm hearing is a tough tough RB with injury concerns. At the NFL level the hit's are harder from bigger individual's. From that list he's torn just about every leg part that can be torn. I agree maybe 3rd round for his upside.
He had one devastating knee injury over 2 years ago at Oregon, has proven to be healthy and explosive over 2 seasons at FSU
He came back strong after that injury wich is good sign to me. His cuts look explosive runs hard so I would be worried about injury. I'm worried about Brooks because we haven't seen him after it. I would draft Brooks also. Benson Rb1 for me.
Are you saying he's comp to Achane then? 13-15t touches explosive
Arizona easily should have an elite top 3 run game if not thee best again after PFF ranked them #1 last season. AZ will have elite RB James Connor, Trey Benson”s who’s a Pro Bowl caliber beast of a back, Michael Carter is an exceptional change of pace back, signed DeeJay Dallas they are absolutely loaded n also have a deep exceptional OL n elite loaded TE room.
Arizona easily should have a top 5-7 offense and both Marvin Harrison Jr n Trey Benson could be competing for offensive rookie of the year
Show us those quads Josh! 😂
Kyren Williams was great at pass pro?
Probably the best in his class
Birdgang just got better
Kinda seems like a clone of Cam Akers no? It's almost like I'm watching Cam's FSU tape rn.
I didn't know the extent of his injuries in college.. the chances he'll be durable RB in the NFL is highly questionable
One devastating knee injury at Oregon, then played 2 full healthy seasons at FSU. He isn't injury prone, he carries the same risk as any other RB imo
He reminds me of Breece Hall. Idk why
Wow who’s here after cardinals just drafted him?
Reminds me of Nick Chubb
Yes maybe Chubb with lesser vision. I think Lat Murray is a good comp.
Definitely next Beejohn
Pump dem brakes😅
beejohn lmao
Can you guys please do one of these videos on Malik Washington!? I really think he might be a slept on Rookie this year in the draft considering all of his metrics when compared to all of the other receivers in his class, he finished near the top in almost every metric.
Word is he won’t be RB1 off the board
not sure if we should start talking about runningbacks having the juice.
my rb1 he reminds me of nick chubb
Corn 🌽 Benson
Bounces way too much to the outside
Pause
Hopefully he's not the next david johnson.
Hopefully he is but hopefully he stays consistent
Aj dillion 2.0
