    Instead of just trying to play a tune, I train my students to use the tune to learn common chord progressions that come up in jazz standards all the time so that they can learn the language of jazz and take some experience to the next tune. That's what we'll do in this lesson.
    Blue Moon is a perfect study in simple and common chord progressions. It also has a key change in the B section. Ever unsure if something is a key change of just a decorative chord? Learn how to spot them in this video too!

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the leading tone chord is just a B half diminished chord

      Hi Mitchell, you're not wrong. It's also known as Bm7♭5 which would have been displayed on the screen. Not sure if that's what you're referring to.
