    Those are some quality fish for sure.
    Could you do a breakdown of weekly cost type of thing? Just the expenses like road fees and how they work , propane , gasoline , bait , internet access, etc .

      @didyoujustgethere  Год назад +1

      Yeah, I've been keeping track of some of that as far as fuel costs and things, I should be able to put all that together.

      @@didyoujustgethere thanks. Our ice seasons have been steadily worsening for 3 decades here. East end of Lake Ontario

      @@BigDan7114 is that due to ice conditions and weather? Or is it being over-fished?

      @@didyoujustgethere Ice. Been a few good solid years but not many drive the truck on the ice days here anymore.
      Zebra muscles and Goby’s bothered a bit but once perch sheepshead and others figured them out they are a good food source.
      The whole planting and harvesting schedule for our farm has moved forward one month since 1800’s. Plant end of may Harvest into November , December.
      Plenty of pressure here as well I lived on Oneida Lake many years. The pressure has increased immensely and Lake dynamics changed majorly with zebra mussels and goby but it’s doing well.
      The old days of filling buckets of big perch in a couple of hours are gone. But walleye are flourishing. But fish are quality.

      @@BigDan7114 that sounds interesting, I have yet to fish that region. I may have to make my way out there sometime as I've only ice fished in northern Minnesota.

    How’s the diesel heater working? Thinking about purchasing one for my fish house.

      It's been running almost 24/7 since I installed it. It's been really great, I probably use 1.2 gallons a day on average.

      Thanks, that really doesn’t sound bad at all for usage

      @@dennyb5509 yeah, it's been pretty good. I've only had a couple issues with it flaming out in -20 degrees Fahrenheit and below, but I think that was my fuel settings.

    For the walleyes what was your most successful bait and lure combination?

    • @didyoujustgethere
      @didyoujustgethere  Год назад +1

      I was using fatheads and some small yellow and orange jigs. The big walleyes hit around midnight with a dead stick about 6 inches from the bottom.
