Actually, in 2014 we fought against pro-russian government and Russia itself. So technically it was not a "civil war". But thank u for reaction 🤝🇺🇦💪 Slava Ukraine!

Not even half of us thought about russia that time. I am sure most of people just knew that goverment - full of corruption and then also - agressive to their civilian people. Only after most of us understood that it's russian's puppets.

Song about the revolution. This event was called the "Revolution of Dignity" or "Maidan" at that moment people went to the main square of the capital to change the pro-Russian government. Many people were beaten and killed by the state police "Berkut".
We managed to change the government, but after the change of the President, the Kremlin lost control over my country and sent its troops into the territory of Ukraine. The Kremlin occupied several regions of Ukraine in 2014, but on February 24, 2022, decided to finish the job and attacked the territory of Ukraine with a full-scale war.
So we can say that this song and clip is the beginning of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
Thank you very much for your reactions. I want your channel to flourish ❤

In general, this song is about the revolution in 2014, during which we overthrew the pro-Russian president (he is now hiding in Russia) because we wanted to be with Europe, not Russia, from whose occupation we freed ourselves in 1991. The war is now going on because Russia could not come to terms with our freedom, and now we give our lives to finally live freely in peace and tranquility and choose our own path.
Thank you for your reaction. And we thank everyone who supports us in the fight for freedom. Together we will win. Glory to Ukraine.🇺🇦💙💛

This song depicts the begining of what is going on right now. At the end of 2013 Ukraine supposed to sign an association agrement with EU. But our President at that time just walked away at the last moment 'cause putin offered him like 3 billion. A bunch of students took it to the streets to protest. The issue would have just die out but some bright mind send spec force cops to beat up the students. In the morning next day we had like 1.5 million people on the streets. Everything else stemes from there. The Presedent fled, russia occupied Krimea and invaded Donbass. What happens now is the ending accords of this story.

So the long story short: president wanted to take back some rights of the citizens, so citizens went on peaceful strike, president sent police to beat them up, so these citizens beat the police up and made the said president to flee the country.
Also concerning translation of the line with "get drunk", the correct translation is: nobody will prevent us from enjoying our freedom.

In 2014 we had an awful president - the marionette of Putin. That was the year when war u can see now had started. My country raised up to fight for our independence and freedom. So now - it is an escalation. 8 years ago we hadn’t enough power and weapon to reveal, to protect ourselves. Cos of it Putin decided he could do the same as he started at 2014. But now we have much more better president and we were preparing for it. And how people below offered u to watch Моя країна so I offer to u to watch it too. Cos it is a “second part” of this song. In this one u can hear words “my country will not stay on her kneels while in each of us lives a soul of Ukrainian “. In offered song words were changed to “… it is a happiness to be born in Ukraine”. Really, listen to it to compare the sense of both songs❤

The year 2014 was decisive in the liberation from the Russian authorities. The video shows how brutal the war between the people of Ukraine and the current government was. At that time, our president was the dictator Yanukovych, who obeyed Putin, and at some point, after the police brutally beat students at a peaceful protest, people lost patience and a revolution, a change of power, began. When Russia realized that it was losing power in our country, the troops began to seize Ukrainian territories, first Crimea, and then parts of two more regions.

  • @Hardzalio
    @Hardzalio Год назад +2

In 2014 people of my country wanted to become a member of EU, but we had a corrupt government that wanted to join Russian allies and get rich but get oil and gas money for the freedom of our people. All Ukrainians were against becoming slaves of Russia like in the USSR and started protests, and the government decided to suppress the protest by force (beating students). So Ukrainians got mad and the protest became a revolution, government had private forces called BERKUT and they used tried to suppress the revolution at any cost and by all methods. These bandits left our country in a weak state, Russians after Chechia in the 90s and Georgia in 2008 wanted to make a new version of the USSR and they needed our country to be a part of it. In 2014 we thought that Russians and good people and no one was expecting that they will use our weak state to annex our country by force, we weren't ready for Crymia and when we understood what was going on - it was too late. Then they were financing pro-Russian separatists by giving them guns, and ammunition needed to take over the Donbas region, Russian ex-soldiers and FSB RF illegally crossed the border and started to take control of government buildings in the Donbas region, these forces had enough arms to grab the whole region and move forward. Our army had bad ammunition (post soviet equipment), but they manage to stop them and this conflict got frozen. Now Putin is getting old and doesn't have much time left, he had a dream to rebuild the country he was born in and make it even bigger, Russians after years of propaganda believe every word he says and is happy to see our people dying because they think that we all are fascists, we regained control of our country and was trying to build our own future as a member of EU, but Russia was against this. :(

Thank you for your reaction to this video! Just to clarify a few things, it was not a civil war in Ukraine. Ukrainians stood up against pro-russian government that we had in Ukraine. A lot of things happening inside the country including its politics were Russian-oriented. That year people had had enough and revolution began. That is also the year when 100 civilians were shot to death by "police" on the main square of the country. Also in this song Yarmak with words " She is only 22" refers to Ukraine (Ukraine had been independent for 22 years at the beginning of 2014). Also some of the translation is not correct. Like RUclips translated "by freedom to get drunk" but words actually mean " we will not stop until we get drunk on freedom" :) 2014 was a big year when we finally got. rid of pro-Russian president Yanukovych who fled to Russia. That was the beginning of the fight against Russians and their agenda. Ukraine has won! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes! 💙💛

Translations made by user @Is Karik
She is 22. She is a beautiful, slim lady.
She has always been the best friend of her neighbors.
She is free and pure, but her soul is torn by doubts.
She is always silent, but will soon show her thughts.
Attack and rob, beat and rule her - it won't work,
In a righteous way, she will not allow herself to be offended so easily.
And be you a king, or be you God, or be you a leader, like Lenin -
A proud lady will not kneel in front of anyone!
Who gave the father the right to beat her in the face without conscience.
She's the kind of flower you can't shake the pollen off like that.
She was treated like a muddle by people whose lives are rubbish
Stripped her of everything and hid beads into their pockets
Is it real or just a dream?
Look, in that old barn lies my queen,
All beaten, in wounds, blood flows out - battered body.
Brothers, it's wrong. I wrap my country with white gauze.
Those whose souls are not yet empty gathered around.
Anyone who is for the truth is ready to sacrifice their lives.
She lay all broken, like ruins.
People around whispered her name - Ukraine!
    [twice]
My country will not fall on its knees.
Cities will become united as one and believe me -
No one will stop us in fulfilling our thirst for freedom,
While the soul of a Ukrainian lives in each of us.
As long as the soul lives, I will carry Her in my arms!
I'll turn everyone to dust, I'll kill everyone...
The word fear is simply alien to us.
I will not let anyone offend my innocent beauty.
Servants of Themis - you are not the law, but the rules for show.
You simply are all slaves of one dark council.
You do not know the words: Conscience, Righteousness and Morals.
You are selling your land and soul for pennies.
Beasts, you can only steal and destroy in life!
And I don't know if there's enough room for everyone in hell.
And I will stabd under fire in the same row with brothers.
Already my country is rising and blooming willows.
We will be warriors of truth, brother, as long as we live.
She will heal the wounds, stand up and undo her braids.
Wear a dress of flowers and walk barefoot
In the morning dew, collecting drops with her feet.
This is not a war - everyone is the same, brother, it's time to hide the sabers.
My country will not fall on its knees!
    [four times]
My country will not fall on its knees.
Cities will become united as one and believe me -
No one will stop us in fulfilling our thirst for freedom,
While the soul of a Ukrainian lives in each of us.

Don't claim Maydan protest as a Civil conflict. It was protests without weapons.

These are shots from the Maidan. This happened in 2014, when the then president decided at the last moment not to sign the agreement with the European Union. At first, students came to peaceful rallies, they were beaten, after which all other people could not stand such treatment and decided to come to the defense of these students and defend their rights to live in a normal legal state. This Maidan was for joining the European Union and for freedom. In 2014, President Yanukovych was in favor of getting closer to Russia, but the people were against it. Peaceful rallies began to be dispersed, people were beaten and mocked. About a hundred people died on the Maidan, they are called the "Heavenly Hundred". By the way, among them is my uncle, my mother's own brother, he was shot. When the then authorities realized that people would not go anywhere, would not accept and would fight to the end for their rights, they simply started to run away. President Yanukovych fled the country to Russia. Then everyone found out how much money he stole while in power. They found his estates, a golden loaf, golden toilets.
In total, the Maidan took place for about 3 months. It was the winter of 2013-2014. After the end of the Maidan, there was no president in power, there was chaos, it was necessary to quickly re-elect a new candidate and restore order in the country. Russia took advantage of this, first taking Crimea and then some territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The war began. From the very beginning, even on the Maidan, people opposed unification with Russia. If you look at our history, all the time Russia banned our language and culture, created a Holodomor, seized our lands, and destroyed Ukrainians as a nation. Now, during a full-scale war, they are doing the same thing, but they are trying to cover themselves with their propaganda that they are going here to liberate and help someone. And we don't need their help. We had honestly elected presidents in power after the Maidan. We never had a civil war. In the video you saw, people fought unanimously against a corrupt and lying president. No one forced him to even leave his so-called throne, people asked him to reconsider his decision to join the European Union, but he simply ran away. Because of this, he is considered Putin's puppet. He was simply afraid of his people and realized that his lies would now be known to everyone.

I also wanted to add that our people are simply not slaves like in Russia. We value freedom. In our country, people in power are not delayed for several terms, since Putin has been on the "throne" for more than 20 years. We do not have the same attitude towards the president as towards the tsar, no one goes to blow the dust off him. Of course, respect is important, but not like in Russia, where you can't say anything about the king and that he decides everything completely. In our country, for example, the parliament, which is also elected in democratic elections, decides.
We have been at war for 8 years. And what you see now on the news is its full-scale stage. Previously, everything happened in the east of the country, and now Putin wanted to seize our entire territory. But he does not succeed and will never succeed. Thank you for the video! It was very interesting to see your reaction. 💛

We see the result of that revolution now. Russia was afraid of democracy and attacked Ukraine. Was Ukraine afraid? Yes, it's scary when a big and strong enemy attacks you. But look how the little honey badger reacts when it is attacked by a lion. He does not run away, but turns around and drives the lion away. I ask you to review one of the clips of the Ukrainian group "Surface tension", which shows how Ukraine reacts to this aggression. song "все заєбісь"

This situation is what Putin is talking about when he talks about the "Nazi coup."
Obviously this kind of thing doesn't happen over one incident, but what broke the camels back was Ukraine had been working on a mainly economic deal with EU (which is why the EU flag pops up in the video a few times) for about 5 years and instead of signing it, the President decided to do a deal with Russia instead. People were not happy. Peaceful protests were attacked by police and turned into violent protest. Eventually they ran the President off and he fled to Russia - taking lots of stolen money and items with him.
THIS is why I cannot understand why Putin thought all of Ukraine would just lay down to him. The man has to be delusional.
This is also what started the whole Crimea annexation and the civil war with separatists that are the basis or excuse for the war today.
