If I, for whatever reason, sneezed without covering my mouth and it caused a young woman to run away in horror, I would be DEVASTATED FOR LIFE. But I guess the people who would actually do such a thing probably wouldn't care much.
I had to google it, and according to wikipedia Japan doesn't really have a culture of saying bless you or anything else after sneezing. They may say 'daijobu? = are you ok?
