I sang this song to this one boy I dated for almost a year back in college, and he smiled and said "I hope one day you can be your own sunshine" I used to think that sounds stupid and lonely, but its been years now since last time I saw him, and I gradually understood what he truly meant
That hit hard there was this one guy I dated in high school and when he was breaking up with me I said but I love you and you always heard me talking about how I had so many insecurities and he said well you need to learn to love yourself more.
It’s 2021 and I still listen to this song. This always makes me emotional. My mom passed away when I was 14 and dad left us. I had to raise my two siblings. I always call them sunshine and how I love them
One day I was going to my close friend's house, and I said "bye dad, I love you!" Before he drove away. He said I love you too and then he shut his car door and drove home. He said he would pick me up the next day at 8:30pm and when I looked at the time the next day, it was 11:47pm. I called him 4 times and he never answered. I called my mom and she said she would check up on him. She called me back about 7 minutes later telling me he fell calmly and peacefully. When I asked her what that meant, she told me that he was never going to wake up, ever again. I dropped my phone on the wooden floor and I cried. I decided to listen to this song for his remembrance, and my sanity. Thank you for taking the time to read this. My words are "cherish your time with your loved ones, as they could die the next day."
My grandma died in 2015. She used to sing this to me all the time. When I was born, she had the measles and couldn't hold me. This song reminds me so much of her, I love you Grandma, and I always will.
I don't have my grandma anymore 😕. She died when I was 11 years old 😢 in 2007. Grandma 👵 was born in Thailand 🇹🇭, moved to Laos 🇱🇦 when she married Grandpa 👴, and they and their children, including Mommy, were all in refugee camp when they were gonna come to America 🇺🇸. Mommy learned how to speak English at 8 years old. That's how old she was when she learned how to cook. Grandma 👵 and Grandpa 👴 both loved Daddy. Mommy and Daddy got married in 1991. Mommy gave birth to me in 1996, Mommy gave birth to Joseph in 1999, Mommy gave birth to Seth in 2001, Mommy gave birth to Zach in 2002, Mommy gave birth to Jed in 2004, Mommy gave birth to Isaiah in 2006, and Mommy gave birth to Jeremiah in 2008.
Oh Lebron. To feel his warm, chocolate arms wrapped around my trachea. His warm breathed drenched across my brow. To feel the embrace of such a man of peace and tranquility.
Three years ago my sister lay unconscious and dying of cancer. My father, who I had never seen cry, sang this to her with tears steaming from his eyes. I miss both of them very, very much. Beautiful voice, beautiful song.
Thank you for your sentiments. I guess English was a second language to both our fathers and similarly fathers have to be like rocks in bad times, so it was heart breaking so see him cry ...and singing that song. My sister was a locum pharmacist and her funeral was packed with staff from where she had worked. Several customers were there too. She was so kind, gentle and generous.
I feel your pain, as I have also lost my sister to cancer, she used to sing this to her grandchild, so we had it played at her funeral, in may, she was 49, my heart aches and I don't know what to do without her, the saddest thing is that her kids both had babies around the time she passed away. my thoughts are with you and everyone who has had to deal with the Evil C word. xxx
My Mom used to sing this to me when I was very young---now. I'm very old. As I look at the words, I hear her voice. Thank you for triggering a beautiful memory, even if it brings tears.
I sing this to my little boy every night but I change the words to the second verse and sing "the other night dear when I lay sleeping I dreamt I held you in my arms, now I'm awake dear and you are with me' I know il never be lonely again"
I used to sing this to my husband all the time and he would say would you stop you know you can't sing, lol. He passed away on May 5th, 22, taking my sunshine away. The day before he couldn't really talk but I sang it to him and he just gleamed at me. I miss him so much, he'll always be my sunshine and my love.
I'm so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful story though and a memory with him you'll always have to cherish deep inside your heart. Nothing anyone can say can rid you of your pain, but just remember you are not suffering alone. Be well
My grandfather used to sing this to me when I was a kid. Now that he’s gone I have no sunshine. He was such a great man. I’d do anything to get him back.
Be happy and never give up he will smile at you and will be proud of you, he is watching you succeed! So don’t give up! You are everyone’s sunshine! :)
The thing is that I see many people talking about their loved ones singing this song to them and then there's me, who never get to listen someone sing it for me....No one loves me (even my family) maybe my friends but I love myself and I sing this to myself everyday :D
All grandparents do sing tis song. My dad used to sing tis song to my three lovely girls n now I m singing tis same song to my two wonderful n adorable grandchildren. Such a lovely song.
I remember in 2nd grade in music class we would have to recite this everyday, now looking back I never like singing it everyday, and I cry everytime I listen because I just think of the simpler days where I didn't have responsiblys and was just all around happy person.
Same. In 5th grade we sang Count on Me and Lean on Me. Never liked doing it, but it cheered me up in the mornings. Now, the songs cheer me up whenever I’m sad. :)
damn right. We sang count on me, good night and you are my sunshine in the 3rd grade but now I moved to another country. I didn't miss them for such a long time heck I forgot about them. Thank you for reminding me. Now I'm in 6th grade, so I can't really relate to you. I loved the kindergarden thought. I had a best friend and that's all. Everyday just play something with my bestie, no worries, just joy. Man, that was a good time, especialy now that I moved.
Oh my..I learned this song like 45 years ago in primary school and I sang it to my 3 kids to bed when they are babies/toddlers..🌞 Today in Sept 2021 all my 3 kids are adults. They are 30, 27 & 22 years..Yes..after 45 years I still can sing it out loud without missing a beat..
Wow... you have no idea how amazing that is to me. My Grandmother would sing it to me before she passed, her nickname for me was even Sunshine. I hope you (and everyone else I have crossed paths with) have a amazing life. Also, your kids sound great :)
Everyone has their own sunshine, and if it shines bright enough it can never be taken away.It will always glow in the heart....Forever.Beautiful version this is too.....
My Grandmother sang this to me as a child. The night she passed I was able to be there and hold her hand as this very recording played, thank you for this!
I heard this tune on a commercial today. It brought back happy memories!! So at 74 years old I remembered the words as if I had never forgotten them. I started singing it to the love of my life, then she joined in to my surprise and we experienced an absolutely romantic moment in time together!!
My son was born 4months to early sleeping I held him close to my heart and than they took him away today he sits beside my bed in his baby urn I know one day I will see him again in heaven until than he plays in baby heaven while I remain thinking of him every day!!!!!!!! Rest Dear Boy (Anthony Jaydin Perez) 7/31/19 to 6/7/21💖🚜🚡🚛🚚🐻🛩🚉🚋🚀🚂🌹
I’m 13, turning 14 in 20 days. My dad used to sing me this song when I was a baby. And a few days before he passed away, he listened and sang this song in the shower and he told me that he is proud of me. He then passed away in January. This song means a lot to me and It’s the only thing that makes me cry. I miss you dad.
All these stories are so amazing, GOD bless you all. I am sorry for you missing your loved ones. People, especially, our loved ones are SO precious! Thank you for sharing these heartfelt stories to me. My DAD passed away January 30, 2021. I miss him so much He did not sing this song, but "There she is Miss America". That was his " You are my Sunshine" song to me. I hope you all !have peace in 2023 and today.
When I was a toddler I remember my mom singing this to me every night. The more we moved the more we fought and I haven’t heard her sing it sense I was little, not even for my little sister......and while watching a video this song popped up and I started crying......this song was my happy place but now all I do is cry when I hear it. My mom and I just fight and argue saying horrible things
Your own time will come my love, where you’ll sing this to your little ones one day, and you’ll be the most amazing person ever. Time goes on and things get better, sometimes kids don’t understand the madness mum’s go through to get her kids through life, so maybe talk to her calmly, or if not just try and ignore some of the horrible things she’s saying. Most mum’s hardly ever mean these things, it’s just the frustration and madness of this world that may cause her to act up. I hope god blesses you my dear, and gives you your sunshine back. Stay blessed.
Id say im like the same age as you and this song was sang to me by my mom when i was little now im 16 and in a blink of an eye my childhoods over and in another blink i will be 30 just repair that relationship and spend as much time with her as you can
My Dearest LeBron, With every dribble, you enchant the court, weaving tales of glory and triumph. Your prowess on the hardwood resonates with the beating of my heart
i hugged my mom and my cousin goodbye on St Patricks day , when i awoke and was at work, i received a call, from my brother, the very next day , he said mom is dead , I asked how , he said she died in a car accident with my cousin , my whole body sank, life was completely twisted, The pain was so immense , I threw up for 5 days, I played this song to get me threw, Actually this song has always been so very close to me , Peace and Love
I'm 59 now. My mom used to sing this to me as a child. She's been gone 12 years now. This song still makes me smile and remember the good things about her.
Reminds me of an old lady in the care home I work. She used to sing this song to me everyday when she see me she passed away a month ago and I must say I really miss her 😭
I cry every time I hear this song. My nickname in the family is SunShine. When I was little my dad used to sing this song to me and I would start crying because I feel like I always take my parents for granted. And I know they just love me to death. Everyday it feels like I’m pushing myself away from my dad. Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of how much he cares and loves me. I just so happy that I am lucky enough to still have him in my life. I love you dad
⚠️TW- suicide⚠️ I love this song but it makes me so emotional. My bestfriend of 7 years overdosed, and we had so many memories together and this song just makes me invision her and what we had. She still lives in my heart, thats what matters most.
My mom sang this to me when I was sleeping or upset, it would always soothe me, and when I listen to the begining of this song it reminds me of her. Laste Christmas she gave me a little winding music box and I was so happy. It's been a year and I still miss her beautiful smile and her comforting hugs. I want my mom back so much, screw cancer.
Atleast the only way left to go is up. We can do this! We are never truly not alone in this life. So we must find our own happiness on our turf. You're story is up to how you want it to end. That's why dogs live less than us. They already know how to love and see the fun side in life even though they are way more restricted than we are. They feel joy from the littlest things in life which matter the most. So they don't need to stay here as long as we do.
I lost my best friend, confidant, and true angel placed on earth who was the only one that treasured our friendship and made me laugh when my skies were blue. It's been 9 years, but whenever I play this song or look at his picture I can't stop crying. I still miss you, John Soltes!!!
I use to sing this to my unborn child then to my sweet baby boy. He's going to be 44 in January. Sadly we have been estranged for a long while, but I love and miss him so. I keep hoping I'll hear his knock on my door or get a call from him. Come home son, your mom is heartbroken.
I sang this song to my daughter who was handicapped, everyday. She passed away when she was 21yrs old. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear another parent sing it to there child.
I'm singing this to my kitten right now. He's being put down tomorrow because of injuries we can't heal, and it's been tearing me apart. He's my little sunshine and I'm going to miss him so very much
@@dionysuskapeleia I am, thank you 💙 it's been hard without him, but I've been able to heal. I have two new little kittens that I rescued, and they make me laugh every day
Damn that's rough, my own cat is going through a similar situation she's getting old (90 years old in cat years) and had a fight with a much younger cat so she got injured. Might have to put her down soon.
I am really sorry you had to go through that with your kitten. I just lost my 6 year old cat Koda Bear to Chronic Kidney Disease two days ago, and it had been really rough knowing he isn't there anymore. I will miss and love him forever. It hurts to lose them, but you are also glad you were able to meet and build beautiful memories, even if their stay was short.
This masterpiece really hits different after you heard it when you where young and didn’t think about the meaning of the song but then you are older and you have lost your sunshine
This version ,(Elizebeth Mitchell ) is the best That I have ever heard . And I have heard this song covered by many many other singers ... Absolute BEST . Great cover .
I have love this song since i was a teenager, now i am 31. The first time i heard this, i said to my self " This is the song i am gonna sing to my future baby". And now i am on my 14th weeks of pregnancy. And my mind haven't change, still love this song. 🥰🥰
*I grew up listening to this from my mother; she added three sunshines because of my brothers. It's very troubling times, but I still certainly want to sing this to my children to help them sleep, this song is a big part of my childhood.*
My grandma wanted my sister and our cousin to play this song on their ukuleles at his funeral in February. It never happened. So yesterday I learned to play this on the piano. She was happy. I live you grandpa🥰
I used to sing this song to my son when he was younger he used to cry every time. He always said he loved this song he is 23 today it's amazing how the time flies.
I sing this song every year on December 17th, at 11:30 at night, because that was when I lost a good friend of mine 5 years ago. Still miss him to this day. Miss you every day Julius 💙
My wife sings this song to our 7 month baby boy. The mother-son duo feels peace and brings them close everytime they listen to this song. Long live love!!
This was my great grandmas favourite song, yesterday, around 9:00am, a nurse came in and put this on 5 mins before she passed away😭I can’t stop listening to this song😭😭R.I.P. grandma 😭😞❤️🙏🏼
oh boy, where do i even start... LeBron's talent is evident in every aspect of the game. His scoring ability, passing precision, rebounding prowess, and defensive skills are all top-notch. He can dominate in so many different ways, making him a true legend of the sport. But it's not just his talent that makes him special. LeBron James is also a fantastic leader and teammate. His ability to inspire and motivate his teammates is remarkable. He has a natural gift for elevating the play of those around him, making everyone better on the court. Off the court, LeBron is a role model and a philanthropist. He uses his platform to make a positive impact, advocating for important causes and giving back to the community. It's truly inspiring to see how he uses his success to make a difference in the world. In conclusion, LeBron James, the Glorious King, or should I say Lehunny Bear, is not only an incredibly talented player but also a leader, a role model, and a philanthropist. He has left an indelible mark on the game of basketball and continues to inspire fans like you and me. Keep supporting your favorite player and enjoy watching him dominate the court! #fyp #p1ut8 #lebronjames #gloriousking #pookie
My grandmother passed away a few days ago. Sad i could never give her time, literally never. Could never even tell her how much i loved her . Strange, that you only learn someone's value when you lose them. I hope someday we meet again. ☺

This song means so much to me. When I was little I was going through a lot of pain, and had surgery. I don’t remember who it is, but they gave me this happy flower machine thing that plays this song every time you turn it on. My grandma kept it in her room. She moved back to Dominican Republic so I’m able to make her room my room. So I found the dancing flower and pressed the button to turn it on. And immediately started crying, because it reminds me of how much people were worrying about me in the hospital. Praying for me to get out of surgery safe.
My mom sang this song when I was a kid..she had breast cancer when I was 8..and passed away..i could never forget that day. This song just brings happy memories. rest in piece mom..
Mio hope your good. Stay strong it's hard to say goodbye to one who love you. But remember those who make us happy also make us cry. Well, someone told me that line
Sometimes your lucky you only lost one or two I have a cousin who was an orphan at the age of 5 or 6 I believe and he is now an alcoholic living with my grand parents (my father's parents) now he's 15 or 16 and I remember back when we just used to play together we were soo stupid
I always sang this to my 3 daughters growing up. They’re all mums now and recently I bought them little wind up music boxes that played it. Everyone of them burst into tears as soon as they heard it.
Gioia Jackson-Scrima i know like this Me:(cries a little and starts to cry more EVEN RIGHT NOW IM CRYING WIEL IM WRITING THIS (sniff) escuse me please Sniff) im trying not cry i..can't...help it im crying about my mom i don't think she...(sniff😢) i dont know what to say anymore Its really i don't know it's because she...i don't know how to say it😭😢
i don’t have a sad story about somebody i love passing or something. When i graduated 6th grade, my mom gave me a music box that plays this song. I loved it so much and i played it often. I started to get into the habit of playing the song when I felt down at the end of the day in the dark of my bedroom. I’d sit on my bed and turn the nob to make it work. It wouldn’t do anything- except it did. It made me happy because i felt/feel like somebody is singing it to me telling me how much they care about me. I still play it sometimes and one day, i want to sing this same song to the girl i dream to be with.
I used to sing this to my dog when he was trying to go to sleep but now he's gone and I miss him so much Love you so much dougal 2012-2019 Happy birthday dougal ilysm 🥺😭❤️ Just a update scattered his ashes I'm still greiving and struggling alot I wish he was here so I could hug him I also lost a friend in February so it's not going well my heart's being shattered
My big sister would sing this to me every night, she got into bad things and started to run away, and I wasn't aloud to see her for a little, I would listen to this to remember her. Thankfully she got her life back in track and now shes married, going to college, has a husband, and a beautiful 3 year old. Seeing her story gives me hope that one day my life will get better, one day I'll get better, I'll be happy and lead a good life
This is mine and my pet budgies song. She's a beautiful yellow dilute budgie and has the sweetest personality. I sang this to her one day and she nestled into my cheek pressing her ear and fluffed herself into a little ball just listening. Now when I play the song she chatters in her bird language so happily
This song reminded me of my ex, she is bright and lovely. I found her on my dark days and she is my sunshine. My days with her were joyful. Then she had to study aboard for some years, plus there were some issues between us, so she decided that we should end the relationship, said that I should moved on and became a friend. However, it just really hard to moved on from good memories and I still missed her a lot, every time I went to places we went together I still saw her images, her smile. It sad but also happy in the same time. Wherever you are my dear, hopefully some days we can meet again.
My Nan used to sing this song to me all the time when I was younger, years later when she was in hospital in pain and on her death bed, I sang it to her to give her some peace and happiness. She was my sunshine ☀️ ❤️
My school is going to class 22 of this month and next year my Teacher will not be at my school she will be gone forever but she will still be my sunshine forever my beautiful sunshine losing you will forever be my hardest challenge in life I will miss you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much my little sunshine wish you could be my Teacher forever ❤️ ❤❤❤❤
This song always brings me in tears when I hear it and this song was always sung to me every night before I went to sleep I wish always have a special place in my heart for this beautiful song
I still don't know why, but the day before my dad died, when I was with him at the hospital( he was battling cancer) I was doing reiki to him and unconsciously started humming this sung to him! I can't explain it! I'm just grateful so grateful for that moments! He still is my sunshine 🤍
Taken away in death? Or by pain as you lay in bed, not able to talk, and barely breath but still alive somehow.. choking on air? I hope your having a good life.
Ahh Dear Lebron, Iam gonna miss you very much! Your last game was very emotional. The fans were so crazy they even shouted "you're my sunshine, my only sunshine". So please Lebron don't leave us, our only and only sunshine 😢
My mom kept trying to sing this song to me when I was a kid. Even then, the song would make me cry. The very idea of my mom losing her sunshine...just too much for my 6-year-old mind to understand. I would give anything to have her sing this to me one more time.
I guess since this is a place to share how people use this song in their lives, I might as well share my story as well. In early 2016, I met the "love of my life", but we didn't officially go out together until November 1st, 2017. He told me that there was something that he was really afraid to tell me, which was that his father passed away on August 2016, and it made him feel depressed and suicidal. Shortly after knowing this information, I remembered this song. Now, I haven't lost any of my parents yet, but I definitely didn't want to lose my love. So, I sang this song to him, and he cried the first time he heard me sing it to him. He asked for me to sing the song almost all the time so that he could be reminded that someone loves him in the world, and I would always sing it to him. Then, I saved up some money and bought him a small music box that played the melody of the song. I said to him that whenever we were apart, he could listen to the music box. On October 2018, we broke up... It was one of the toughest decisions of my life, and I was questioning if I did the right thing. My family hated him, and all of my friends didn't like him either. I ended up not talking to him for a few months, but then I wanted to see what his life was like without me. He called me and said "I still have the music box." I didn't believe him, and then he played it. He told me he was playing it every day ever since we broke up. I am now back with him, since I realized that I was lucky to have someone like him❤️
That is really beautiful and inspiring I hope that I find my own sunshine and cherish it the way you two did. I also wish you happiness and a great life.❤ and please ignore what people say no body has the right to tell you what you do in your life. ☹🌹
If you guys want an update, here. We are still together and we talk practically every day. I haven't seen him in person in about a month because of the coronavirus, but we still talk to each other. I asked him today if he still had the box and he said that he has it on a desk and he plays it whenever he is sad. Thank you for all of the positive feedback and if I still get replies I'll put up another update.
My dad used to sing this to me when I was little, but now we've been drifting apart....this song randomly started playing in my head after years, and I started crying so hard
In 2013 while pregnant 🤰 I sang this to my daughter all during my pregnancy.. now In 2022 she's 9 years old and i still sing this song to her every night. She can't sleep if I don't sing it to her. I love her so much and she will always be my sunshine.
Boy oh boy where do I begin Dear sweet LePookie Bear, As I sit down to write this letter, my heart overflows with love and admiration for you. Your presence on and off the court brings me immense joy and inspiration. Watching you play, my sweet LePookie Bear, is like witnessing poetry in motion - a masterpiece crafted by your skill, passion, and dedication. Your leadership both on the court and in the community shines brightly, my dear LePookie Bear. Your kindness, generosity, and commitment to making the world a better place touch the hearts of many, including mine. Your ability to uplift those around you, to inspire greatness, and to stand up for what is right is truly remarkable. I am constantly in awe of your talent, your humility, and your unwavering spirit. You are not just a basketball icon; you are a symbol of hope, resilience, and the power of dreams. Your influence transcends boundaries, bringing people together in a shared love for the game and a shared belief in the potential for positive change. My sweet LePookie Bear, thank you for being a source of light in a world that can sometimes feel dark. Your smile, your laughter, and your infectious energy bring warmth to all who have the privilege of knowing you, even from afar. You are more than just a basketball player; you are a beacon of hope, a pillar of strength, and a true inspiration.
I used to listen to this song during car trips. my father even had a record of this song, he always put this song in the first hours of travel..Good times..
I gave birth at 27 weeks 3 weeks ago, and this song now has so much more meaning to me then it already did, I sing this to my baby boy everytime I'm with him
I had my daughter at 24 weeks and this is my favorite song to sing to her and I cried every day listening to it as I left the Nicu 109 days later she is home 💗☀️
my sunshine hasn't passed, but it's made of two people. my brother and my mom. brother just graduated from marine boot camp, the hardest military boot camp out there. can't express how proud i am of him for it, it brings tears to my eyes. now, my mom, i have only seen here for 3 days out of 8 months. personal matters that i would prefer not to share, but my mom works hard every day to bring me back. no, i wasn't put up for adoption, she was struggling really hard with something and im with family which i cannot explain how much harder they are making this for me although they should make it easier..oh well. you know, mom, you are my sunshine. brother, you complete the sunshine and are my 2121.
magic shop I think you explained the personal reason but also don’t worry life can get rocky and knock you out a couple of times but just pick yourself up and keep going and make sure you try your best to stay happy also get a therapist they can help even though they’re taboo for some reason
I sang this song to this one boy I dated for almost a year back in college, and he smiled and said "I hope one day you can be your own sunshine" I used to think that sounds stupid and lonely, but its been years now since last time I saw him, and I gradually understood what he truly meant
🥺🥺🥺
🥺
That hit hard there was this one guy I dated in high school and when he was breaking up with me I said but I love you and you always heard me talking about how I had so many insecurities and he said well you need to learn to love yourself more.
What the hell i recognize my self in this story

@Addison Russell it's just hard to live without my dad, I hate thinking about loving anyone else other than my family. I hate my life
Sans Fans no don’t hate your life it’s gonna be alright there are always other people that care about you... remember that =)
Sans Fans life can be tough but sometimes you just have to push through I bet your dad would be proud if you did... just saying

This is the lullaby I sang daily to my baby daughter. She is now 44. Thank you God for my beloved child.
Hello 👋Helene its my pleasure meeting you.
Does this song age people by 44 years? Please tell me, I'm worried I'm gonna get wrinkles. I've already listened to this song 5 times.
I hope that your daughter is well. I am 40. My grandma sang it to me when I was a young child now my husband does.

My grandma died in 2015. She used to sing this to me all the time. When I was born, she had the measles and couldn't hold me. This song reminds me so much of her, I love you Grandma, and I always will.
My grandma always used to all ways sing this to me right before I fell asleep!!

Three years ago my sister lay unconscious and dying of cancer. My father, who I had never seen cry, sang this to her with tears steaming from his eyes. I miss both of them very, very much. Beautiful voice, beautiful song.
I don't know why I cried when I read this...
+edward siu may she rest in peace. *hugs* the bond of family is a very powerful one
I feel your pain, as I have also lost my sister to cancer, she used to sing this to her grandchild, so we had it played at her funeral, in may, she was 49, my heart aches and I don't know what to do without her, the saddest thing is that her kids both had babies around the time she passed away. my thoughts are with you and everyone who has had to deal with the Evil C word. xxx
it broke my heart reading yout comment, for i can almost feel what your father felt.
im glad that she was much loved in her life.
My Mom used to sing this to me when I was very young---now. I'm very old. As I look at the words, I hear her voice. Thank you for triggering a beautiful memory, even if it brings tears.

No, these stories are depressing, not amazing
When I was a toddler I remember my mom singing this to me every night. The more we moved the more we fought and I haven’t heard her sing it sense I was little, not even for my little sister......and while watching a video this song popped up and I started crying......this song was my happy place but now all I do is cry when I hear it. My mom and I just fight and argue saying horrible things
Hello how are you doing?
Send her the song
How are you?
Your own time will come my love, where you’ll sing this to your little ones one day, and you’ll be the most amazing person ever. Time goes on and things get better, sometimes kids don’t understand the madness mum’s go through to get her kids through life, so maybe talk to her calmly, or if not just try and ignore some of the horrible things she’s saying. Most mum’s hardly ever mean these things, it’s just the frustration and madness of this world that may cause her to act up. I hope god blesses you my dear, and gives you your sunshine back. Stay blessed.

I sang this to her one day and she nestled into my cheek pressing her ear and fluffed herself into a little ball just listening. Now when I play the song she chatters in her bird language so happily
This song is so peaceful. It really hits home when you sing it to yourself when you are lonely. I love it so much 💖
Never gets old! Even in 2025🫠
Had this song in my head, and I’m glad I listened to it. This is a beautiful gem of a song! I love it!
I share the same pain brother ❤️
God bless you and your lady brother..

I was the sunshine to my parents and I was almost taken away, I'm glad I'm still here with them
Taken away in death? Or by pain as you lay in bed, not able to talk, and barely breath but still alive somehow.. choking on air?
I hope your having a good life.
This was played at my friends funeral, two years ago today she passed away. I come back every year to listen to it and cry, I miss you mate. 💜

My mom kept trying to sing this song to me when I was a kid. Even then, the song would make me cry. The very idea of my mom losing her sunshine...just too much for my 6-year-old mind to understand.
I would give anything to have her sing this to me one more time.
Understand
You and your mother are so beautiful
Me too I miss my mom so much
Wow. That really erupted so many emotions in me. Your mom is watching you from above surely
Brilliant Baka that's such a great story...if you love him, and he loves you back...What's more you need to stay together 🤗
Stay blessed together 💙
Thats so sweet
If you guys want an update, here.
We are still together and we talk practically every day. I haven't seen him in person in about a month because of the coronavirus, but we still talk to each other. I asked him today if he still had the box and he said that he has it on a desk and he plays it whenever he is sad. Thank you for all of the positive feedback and if I still get replies I'll put up another update.
@@Brilliant_Baka Thats so awesome! Me and my girlfriend are just like you guys too
My dad used to sing this to me when I was little, but now we've been drifting apart....this song randomly started playing in my head after years, and I started crying so hard

my sunshine hasn't passed, but it's made of two people. my brother and my mom. brother just graduated from marine boot camp, the hardest military boot camp out there. can't express how proud i am of him for it, it brings tears to my eyes. now, my mom, i have only seen here for 3 days out of 8 months. personal matters that i would prefer not to share, but my mom works hard every day to bring me back. no, i wasn't put up for adoption, she was struggling really hard with something and im with family which i cannot explain how much harder they are making this for me although they should make it easier..oh well. you know, mom, you are my sunshine. brother, you complete the sunshine and are my 2121.
magic shop I think you explained the personal reason but also don’t worry life can get rocky and knock you out a couple of times but just pick yourself up and keep going and make sure you try your best to stay happy also get a therapist they can help even though they’re taboo for some reason
