    • @ahirjay19
      @ahirjay19 5 лет назад +117

      @Sushanta Pradhan not really dear, why just to work for only one District when you can represent billions of Indians and represent your country, develop policies that will have impact on billions of people.

    • @ahirjay19
      @ahirjay19 5 лет назад +92

      @Sushanta Pradhan ^^, IFS can become cabinet secretary in Ministry of External affairs but IAS can not become cabinet secretary in MEA..
      In IFS you get to meet head of the states, ambassador have lot more authority then you think.
      After all an IFS is walking embodiment of India. When he/she talks, its India talking. Whatever he/she does, its India's action.
      Ambassador has the full power to declare war on any country, if he/she declares it, in news you would see India declared war on xyz nation...
      Of course I'm not trying to brag and I intend to keep our debate healthy but just making sure you know what IFS means

    Hi Mani, Congratulations on your exciting careers as an IFS officer trainee. Thanks for posting your journey till date and opening the gate for future IFS aspirants on the life of a foreign diplomat. Just a quick question. Does IFS allow spouses to stay with the IFS selected candidates during the training period and also when they are posted in language learning institutes abroad for the duration of their course? I wish you the very best in future and we Indians have no doubt that you will uphold the image and pride of our nation in whichever country that you work. Regards

      Christopher Toppo ..Hello! My answer to your question is yes. When ifs officers are given training in Delhi and thereafter in foreign country they are allowed to be with their family/parents.

    Mani ma'am, felicitations on your humongous success. Please share your preparation experience here, especially your interview, what did you say about why you choose this post and why not IAS or any other one; all that part. That too whenever you find it convenient as now you would be extremely busy. Kindly do consider my request.

    I have a doubt on salaries paid to IFS officers. And, once an IFS officer retires, will he/she be paid enough pension to look after themselves in their old age?
