I totally agree!! I spend a lot more time cutting out my patterns than sewing. By the time I'm done, I don't even want to sew! Worse, when I walk away from a project for weeks because I'm overwhelmed by the cutting, I get inspired for another project and rinse and repeat. I have more cut-out projects than completed ones. Eventually I'll learn to love the process!

That’s funny. 😂 I do that too sometimes…the thrill of the new project only to later be squashed by the cutting…a much less exciting part of the process. 🙃

PPE is a GOOD thing! I have a pair of leather gloves near my iron for when I am ironing. Often, I only need to wear the right-hand glove to hold the iron. With my iron being kept over a fire between uses, it can easily become VERY HOT!!!!! Yes, I have burnt my hand on a VERY HOT iron before. It is not always too hot to touch, but, I have adopted a policy of ALWAYS handling it with a glove at all time, so that I do NOT scream about it being 'TOO ********** HOT!!!!'
Also hand sewing: I do a fair amount of hand sewing. Basically, if it is not a straight stitch, it will be hand sewn.

Sounds like you’re taking good care of yourself! I’m glad you have some gloves.
