- Here I am with the Blue Sona, a microphone that seemingly promises it all. It's expensive, but this is an XLR microphone which is set to beat the Shure SM7B in terms of capture quality and sound.

Great review, I like the discussion of the other products used in the setup. In terms of eliminating background noise they both work well right? As I have loud people in my home and office ;-)
I would love for you to do an in depth microphone setup on the goxlr. I have a sure mv7 and I still struggle with setting it up.
Pro Tip: Use the Elgato Wave Arm Low Profile in white for this Mic! It complements the Sonar perfectly as if it’s a set.

thanks to your reviews I recently purchased the hyperx quadcast s white version but I've been looking at this mic a tad bit and thinking if I should return the quadcast for this. Now the price difference is a bit up there so I'm hesitant. I mainly want to use a mic for podcasting and gaming so my question to you is do you think it would be worth getting the blue sona over the quadcast s? I'm a beginner in this area so I want to make sure I get my money's worth. And of course not spend that much if I don't need to.
You'll definitely be spending a lot more here. It's a great sounding mic but costly. Have you seen my video on how to make the Quadcast sound better? Maybe try that first.
sorry for not knowing much, I’m just about to dip my toes in the water of youtube vlogging… -to monitor the sound with headphones, you plug your headphones into the computer? and the sound is recorded into the interface software? or you can record the sound file into Premier Pro? … and can the Sona be hooked directly to a mirrorless such as Canon m50 or Sony z1? Or record audio and video separately and sync in Premier?
the reason why the shield is red is because of streamers and content creators when they use a blue screen. A blue windshield will be keyed out with the blue background. would prefer if they provided a grey windshield

Maybe it's just me, but his voice is so deep that he sounds the same with every mic lol.
I have been told that but if you listen to the end you'll hear a difference between it and the Shure mic.
