When I was 17 years old my mom and dad had a washer just like this . I remember it started leaking and my dad replaced that rubber boot on the tub. My dad replaced it himself and that was pretty good because there wasn't any how to videos and no internet. Both my parents are dead and seeing your video brought back heart warming memories. Thank you.

I want one of these so bad. My aunt had one when I was a kid and that is where my appliance hobby started!

My Aunt Asunta ( Italian, my moms sister) had a 1979 model just before GM sold Frigidaire. My Grandmother had a 1965 Westinghouse. Those two machines sparked my fascination with automatic washers. No at 65 years old I see the crap they make today and it makes me sick.

Whatever you do, keep this beautiful machine my friend. They last and wash so well. Im dying to find one but unfortunately there aren’t any here in PA. My great grandmother had one and we inherited it and ended up giving it away. They do excellent in performance

I got a 1999 Kenmore on FB for $150 with free delivery. Plus he gave me $20 for my old washer (which was made in 2011). Everytime a vintage washer pops up it is sold the next day LOL. These newer machines are garbage.

My grandparents had one of these washers from the 70s. A beautiful red color I remember. Unfortunately I never got to see it run. Thank God for RUclips.

My mom a Frigidaire like this when i was a kid. With these, you remove the bleach cup from inside the agitator, pour detergent into the cap and then into the agitator. The cup is for pouring bleach into. Set that back into the agitator and put the cap back on. Pretty neat, huh?

I really love this avocado green Frigidaire washer from 1972. It is really nice! 😊 Oh! By the way! It's doing a drum roll!

Im 65, so i remember these machines. That was a time when all the brands were owned and built by the original companies. Ive seen all the brands transition from the quality they used to to the crap they are today. Damn shame.

Only a company that built automobiles could come up with something like this .
