    My Lord, you're a genius. Your idea gave me for free and almost immediately what several dollars and an hour long trip to a hardware store would have cost me. This worked perfectly for my Poulan Pro PR28SD string trimmer. Your accent tells me you are from the South...where else could such creativity come from? Thanks.

      Yep, a southern boy for sure. Glad it helped you out. Necessity is the mother of all inventions they say!

    I had to do the same thing, but I used a plastic sleeve on a wire crimp terminal, It worked, I pulled mix screw all the way out and with a dermal tool I cut a flat head screwdriver slot in it, so I wouldn't have to go through that next time I needed to make an adjustment

    ALL small engines WILL need this adj after first 30hrs.
    Factory sets them very lean to pass EPA.
    $15 buys u a set of the correct drivers

      Yeah, I made this video when I was going to mow my lawn, but my weedeater needed adjusting, and I did not want to wait on ordering the tools. I had to think of something that would let me get the job done fast. I would advise people to buy the adjusting tools (which I still have not done even years later), but if they don't, then grab a Bic pen and a screwdriver like I did, lol.

    And fun tip…. For some reason the return hose for the gas tank seems to always crumble so you can use the inners of that ink pen to replace the hose(in a pinch).

    This absolutely blew my mind on how great this worked!! I have been trying to get my yard works weed wacker back up and running for the past 3 weeks. It’s an awesome unit and glad it’s running smooth again thanks to this trick. Can’t wait to pass on this trick to others.

    They just make it hard for all of us but like everything else, there's alway a way to do the job if you try long enought.

    Just melt the tip of the other side too??

    • @ovationsensation
      @ovationsensation  4 месяца назад

      You should just have to heat the side you are inserting the screwdriver into. Make sure that whatever tip you are using will fit flush onto the adjustment screw. If the tip you are using is too large to fit flush against the carburetor adjustment screw, then slightly heat it and slightly crimp it. If its too small, heat it and use a nail to slightly enlarge it.

      Not sure, probably not a whole lot on Amazon. But when I did this trick I needed the weedeater to be working that day. I did not have time to order one.

    Where is the lo screw?

    • @johnmilner7603
      @johnmilner7603 Год назад

      Low screw is on the left and the high screw is on the right. Looks like his high screw is missing.

      @@johnmilner7603Some of these carburetors only have one adjustment screw from the factory, like mine did.
